  1. Why not? Easily soloable. Use of DoTs makes it more comfortable but even without, it is easy enough.
  2. Is your character per chance not human? Because they find it totally in order to show options for any race in the mod station which are only available to humans, really. I have had a similar thing happen with hairstyles of a chiss. Except I already had the unlock. If that is the case, and you have no use for the pack otherwise, I personally would escalate the matter bigtime. In other, entirely unrelated cases, players were refunded, so refunds are known, even to EA
  3. Call support. By Skype in case you are not in the same country as some support hotline.
  4. All crystals from CM that I have are useable from level 10 onwards. Rest I mostly agree with though. Mind that with time credits come a LOT easier, and even expensive perks are easily bought with credits. Inventory and cargo bay slots can safe money in the long run, so those are certainly good investments. Also, mind that many ship unlocks now are easier, and cheaper to get for one's stronghold.
  5. You know, this is friggin awesome Timers with different sounds is super useful, exporting them so that guild raid twink and everyone can use them.... Amazing!
  6. I'd say, worry less about what "most guilds want". One just cannot tell even one day in advance, what a certain guild needs. You are going to be a newcomer anyway, a spot can be open for literally any role/class in a raidgroup. It will depend more how well you are playing. And that depens more IMO on what you really like to play most. General thoughts: tanks are always ALWAYS needed and welcome. PuGs as you are saying, are hit and miss. But I have yet to see the guild who has too many tanks. Again though, one is good at what one likes to do. If you genuinely like tanking, go for it. As for healers, I think, agent/smuggler heals are still the most favorite ones. But both other heals are really strong now, too. My suggestion: play around with different chars, keep an eye on the play style. One does get major skills only later in the development of the char, so that can change a lot till the end. Where the story is concerned, it is quite unimportant which class you are playing in the endgame. Makeb is entirely faction specific, and Rishi has just a tiny class specific sidekick to the story.
  7. Someone around from Helsinki area who has experience with non-cable broadband? I currently have ADSL with 20Mb/s, and wonder whether lag would be less with 50Mb/s - WiFi connection, but without giving away the stable connection. I am kinda old school, not trusting wireless all that much, in general.
  8. 198 is not craftable at the moment, afaik. 192 you learn by RE'ing the items of that rating, which you bought with coms, or token, or won from drops. The mats you get from the new OPs in hc, your call whether you put those items on comps, or make a couple credits.
  9. No. My mains are sorc/sage healers, but I play all 3 healing classes. Operative was nerfed, because he was ridiculously OP before. He is still a very strong healer, and probably still the most favorite in OPs. I recommend you go by what you like to play, though. The important factor is on the other side of the screen. i.e. how people play influences outcome way more, and one usually plays well, what one likes.
  10. Or wait for another instance The first instance does not spawn it, on T3-M4, but other instances do, 2 hour timer.
  12. Watch the health bars, and you know how much healing it does. If one wants to know precise numbers, use a parser. I could not care less whether it has a sound. Not sure how a sound could help in knowing how much healing it does. The only thing I need to watch sometimes, is whether the DD (usually rDD) outside my vision gets hit by it. For that I watch the ball zip by. I just do not care whether it has a sound. Not against it either.
  13. Looked under "wieldable"? They should be there.
  14. So you get blue mats for treasure hunting lock box missions? Or just being snarky? Lockboxes from treasure hunting have an item, or schem, no mats. Sometimes the mission brings yet another schem, additionally. Lockboxes from slicing have credits, sometimes the mission also brings another mission, or schems. When calculated over a couple missions, one does make a little profit with the boxes alone in slicing, so the additional mission is sometimes well worth it. In the early 3.0 days, TH mission discoveries were one serious source of midlithe crystals for me, and several guildies. All other missions were welcome, too. Now that all mats are more common again, we stopped farming those missions. I still put a good comp on the rich lockbox missions, when it pops up, albeit not the slicer, since that one is doing the mats missions (except I am too lazy to get the mats mission). That all said, indeed treasure hunting lockbox missions are not worth much, and that is so since long. While it is not important enough for me to create a thread, I share the sentiment of OP. And I have to admit, the constant "it has been around for so long, suck it up" from certain posters on these forums got so very old a long time ago.
  15. L will normally get you to your mission log, where you can abandon missions. For FP, and later OPs that often is not enough, you need to reset the "phase". That you do by right-clicking on your own portrait, and reset phase.
  16. All missions crit normally for me. I only use rich missions though.
  17. After some FPs I am quite a bit more optimistic. FPs are not anymore the roflstomp faceroll 55 FPs have been when a decently geared group met. And that is how it should be, IMO. I heal all FPs decently enough with this week's basic comms gear plus the set boni of last week. But as a poster above mentioned, mechanics have to be clear, and people have to actually do what they are supposed to do. Last week, one or both DPS pulling aggro before the tank was ready, I evened out without a problem. This week, it may be a wipe. As for my rota. I use dark infusion more than before, and therefore also dark heal. I have not yet analyzed roaming mend enough (i.e. with parsec, torparse) to know what place it will really have in my rota. It seems useful, from what I see so far. Personally, I am quite glad to get away a bit from the mandatory revivification. I drop it still quite often, though, especially when it has zero cast time. So maybe it is resurgence - bubble (pre fight) resurgence - innvervate - resurgence - dark infusion - dark heal or roaming mend - resurgence - rinse repeat. Mix in consumption, and revivification as needed, as well as recklessness, and overload (if skilled). Resurgence seems to stack better, than before, so I might even drop it on the same target, in short time. Usually not though. Bubble as before on anyone taking damage.
  18. You do not. Go to Rishi, start Rishi quest, you get warned that the prelude is skipped if you continue. Nice feature, really. Though, I do not know why one would want to skip, seeing that the prelude gives serious exp, and is fast to do.
  19. Your Dad should check his mission log, whether he already has the mission. Then he has to drop it before taking it together with you. Otherwise, something is wrong. I do BT and Esseles all the time with extremely different levels.
  20. My gear always was a patchwork of different items. Armoring naturally with set bonus, but the rest, whatever rounded the stats ideally. Pre 3.0 there was 1 enhancement with less endurance than the others, i.e. strength legs. So I had several enhancements from a JK/SW item. Not anymore though, unfortunately. As long as I do not have better stuff from OPs, I buy for comms whatever mod/enhancement has the better stats. So I buy few items for the armorings, naturally, and several of the ones that have power + alacrity, and power + surge respectively. Tests on how the different stats influence HPS/eHPS would be very welcome here, too. As others on the forum mention, I am a bit clueless where to go with my sage, and sorc healers, though. If at 60 I have a hard time healing a 55 FP, I have a problem with the class, tbh. Next to get to 60 is my operative, I am curious how she will do in 55 content.
  21. Not available from other crew skills, as second poster mentioned. Also, not from vendor. One sometimes finds the mods themselves for in between numbers, but unfortunately those schems cannot be learned. Up to mod name 22 the number in the name of the mod refers to the same level of the character. I.e. armoring <name> 17 is wearable by a char level 39 and higher, augment <name> 17 as well, also modification <name> 17. The schematic for enhancement <name> 17 one cannot buy or get, but for enhancement <name> 18, which is useable by a char level 41. You may know that already, figured I put it in front because it is the basis for the following. I am not quite sure what you mean with the last sentence, that I quoted. For those thingies we put into shells the following applies: where there are consecutive numbers, when the mod goes up 1 level, it is useable by a char 2 levels higher (erf, it is late, I hope it is understandable). Consecutive numbers we have in armorings, hilts, barrels, and augments. Where the mod skips numbers, it skips 1 regularily until 22, modifications (in the narrow sense) start with the number 2 useable by level 9 chars, enhancements start with number 3 useable by level 11 chars. So, in case I understand your question correctly, the answer is: up to 22 numbers are skipped only for modifications (in narrow sense), and enhancements. Just a caveat, that you did not ask about, but I think is worth mentioning: Mind, that it is those 2 where the naming gets quite messy somewhere in the mid levels. Mods with the exact same stats have different names, and enhancements with the exact same name have different stats. One is well advised to buy schematics very carefully, indeed.
  22. Not really. LoS is your friend on imperial side. Bit more running around, but not that bad.
  23. You do not get responses for bug reports. If you want an answer you choose any category BUT bug report.
  24. At first I thought you meant level 55 FPs and thought, "not by a far shot" Then I noticed you did not specify, and may even mean level 50 hard mode. With all due respect, not even the former is true. Even the weaker of my 55ers get people through 55 FPs who could never solo Oricon, sans Heroic. Mixtures of green level 37 (thirtyseven) with few 156 items, and such, even on tanks. Granted, with such a tank, my healers get a workout in a 55 FP Currently with the 12x exp boost, I guess we are kinda testing the limits of how badly equipped people can be in PuGs. Naturally, with such bad equip, the group will have to carry the load. I am just quoting the extreme to show how far off the sentence above is. Oricon solo without all the buffs from companions is rather tough, compared to a 55 FP, even with below average geared rest of the group. Back on topic: With around 150 planetary comms one can buy a full set of decent level 50 mods from the makeb vendor. With that one is plenty equipped for hardmode 50 FPs. Agreed, Oricon quest line is best for starting into 55-world, though.
