  1. Are an absolute eyesore. Not only is it horribly ugly, but it looks like the entire scoreboard is in 240p. Please it's only been one day, just scrap the whole thing, go back to the old one and well all pretend this didn't happen. Kindly, from anyone who's not blind.
  2. ^ exactly. It's insane that people don't understand that. "Oh we want to play with friends", then call your friends and go touch grass. Anyone who uses the we want to play with friends excuse is only saying "we want to carry each other to make the game more enjoyable for us and garbage for everyone else". Yes there are bad premades full of noob players, however with the absurdly astronomical amount of cc there is in the game, anyone with absolutely 0 skill whatsoever can group up with friends and just spam cc on anyone who attacks them. Stop making excuses, if you need to group in a premade then make a game mode where people can do that, dont put them against pugs. It's really not that deep.
  3. The fact solo players would still get rolled is a matchmaking problem, not a premade one. What you're trying to say is basically either everything or nothing, not how it works buddy.
  4. You clearly haven't spent much time in regs if you honestly believe that. The desire to get better at the game is not born out of ranked, and if anything, for the newer players it acts as a deterrent. The truth is that if you're going to play pvp by hiding behind your team all match and just afk'ing at a node then sure you're not going to get much of anything out of it, however in regs you have multiple ways to test yourself if you choose to do so. It's something that should come from you. Ranked only aided in getting better because it weeded out all the casuals who offer no challenge whatsoever, however it by no means was an end all to being a skilled player. I'm not saying any of this to defend the removal of ranked by any means, just that unless you're running in a full premade that carry you all match, you can improve playing regs as well.
  5. It didn't used to be, but it is now. A couple of months ago premades starting forming which pushed others to only queue with premades as well, and now about 9/10 matches you queue into end up being full premades, usually the same, which either make the game incredibly boring if you're on their side or incredibly frustrating as they just stunlock and gank you on repeat. Telling people to avoid them is dumb because then what's the point of even pvp'ing in the first place? If I wanted to afk at a pylon I'd be playing pve.
  6. All of this sounds like a learn to play issue tbh, sorry if that offends anyone. I play all classes and specs in the game and i can tell you that no matter which class you're on, someone is always going to cry that your class is broken and that you need to stop meta humping. And as far as your opinion of stealthers being a no brain class, if your sole objective in pvp is just to sit in stealth, do your opener (which usually gets interrupted in a million ways), vanish and then just run and wait for all your cds to come back then sure, its a no brain class. However for people who want to actively stay in the fight and have fun fighting others, stealthers atm can actually be a nightmare to play if you don't have carries and the reason for that is because pretty much everything in the game either slows, stuns or pushes you back, and movement for stealthers in 7.0 is horrid. The same goes for lethality. Yes the class is very tanky and the offheals could use a nerf, however unless they buff it's movement (by making roll break movement impairing effects for example) then the class will be unusable, because atm you're already pretty much a sitting duck. If people stopped rerolling to madness sorc and tank, then it might not be so bad but with the current state in pvp, you can try it and see for yourself. Anyone half decent ranged player can kite an op to infinity and beyond and laugh all the way through.
  7. Please make the 8's queue for pvp when 7.2 drops a solo queue only. Premades are killing this game and making it dreadful for everyone, deterring most ppl from even wanting to queue for pvp because who wants to come out of spawn and get stunlocked to death by 4-5 ppl on repeat. It was ok in the past but has progressively gotten worse, to the point that its now just a joke.
  8. When 7.0 dropped and everybody now had access to nearly infinite amounts of slows and roots and other forms of cc that now reduce your movement speed to basically 70% (there is no way those 50% slows are 50%, anyone with half a brain cell can tell how slow it is compared to last patch) the ones who suffered most are stealthers. Both assassins and operatives are now basically rendered immovable in regs with all the cc going on and on top of that you guys decided it was a good idea to nerf both conceal and decep's dmg. I'm sorry but doing less damage on top of not being able to move is nonsensical. First off the base cd of force speed for assassins needs to be 15 sec not 20 and we shouldnt have to pick a utility to get that. Second, the amount of time it takes to get back into stealth after leaving it is also insane. Please either remove the limit or reduce it to 3 sec instead of 6. Finally if you guys want us to have to use our gap closer to get the shadowcraft implant's bonus (which i have absolutely no problem with) then at the very least either give us two charges of Phantom Stride or make Phantom Stride a 15 sec cd just like most of the other spec's gap closers. Juggs, maras and pt's for example have access to a cap closer that has a very short cd relative to stealthers, have access to a cd reduction on said ability AND can get 2 charges of it. Please play stealthers yourselves in regs and see how incredibly annoying it is to stick to anyone in the game atm. so now it takes all of our cds just to stick to someone and we had our damage nerfed too, while other melee classes are the hardest hitting classes in the game with no lack of ways to stick to their targets. this needs to end.
  9. So ive actually written a post about this before they "buffed" hatred last patch, and I completely agree its still below par both on damage and survivability but the devs don't seem to understand anything. Leeching strike being weak af is the biggest issue and the best fix for the spec. I suggested firstly making Leeching Strike not able to miss, the reason for this is because it misses too often and for an ability that is so integral to Hatred's miserable survivability, it shouldn't be rendered useless by all the tanks running around in pvp. So making Leeching Strike never miss and increasing it's damage by 30% when the target is affected by discharge (just like force leech works) would seriously help the class no longer feel like youre a sheet of paper that hits like an insect. This wouldn't be an end all fix for the spec as its dmg is still miserable for single target (relatively speaking of course) but it would be a great start. And yes, making leeching strike root the target again would be a great addition as well. Tbh in order to help fix the spec they need to bring back the old death knell 30% melee damage bonus for hatred. Giving it to decep would make the class too op but having it on hatred would be a very fair way of buffing its absolutely pathetic damage and give it less of a ramp up time.
  10. its been a VERY long time since 7.0 dropped and you guys still haven't fixed the fact that power yield does not build energy lodes when taking crit damage, what's the hold up?
  11. At the end of the day, whether you like ranked or not it doesnt mean it should be removed. I personally think GSF is one of the most useless and horrid games ive ever come across in my entire life, that doesnt mean I should ask for it to be removed. If you dont like ranked, dont q for it, simple as that. Now they are apparently removing the ability to see your dps/hps in pvp, as well as making flags into decos and leaving flairs up in the air. It's pretty clear the devs not only no longer give a flying F*** about pvp, they are actively trying to turn it into a safespace pve grind with an absolute mockery for rewards, for people with no skill to feel like they can do something. Way to go boys, I thought skill didn't mean sh*t anymore bcs all you need to do in pvp atm is just q in premades and spam your cc, but you guys went ahead and said "na we can make it even more irrelevant". Mission accomplished.
  12. Believe me Prum, it's not a q of skill. And I do agree that the dots need a buff or some way to make them more useful, but I would rather/also see a return to force lightning actually hitting for something more substantial like it used to, especially for an ability that is so central to the spec and requires you to stop moving. Btw Killing fields is absolute garbage. It was ok to use back in 6.0 bcs it did more than just spread demolish and for other reasons as well, but currently it certainly pales in comparison with ToR and does more to hurt your gameplay than help it.
  13. Exactly. And btw death brand lifesteal is 100% not 50%. Again, I'm not saying they don't have fantastic healing, I'm saying calling it broken in a meta where abilities are hitting you for 100k a pop is pretty stupid. Also as the previous person mentioned, saying that you can get 50% of your health in a short time when all your cds are up means nothing. Without all your cds up, death brand hits/heals you for ~20k base dmg and force leech for ~16k. Even if we factor in a force speed on one of those as its cd is relatively short plus a bit of offhealing dots, you're getting maybe 70k heals if you have good RNG in about 2 gcds time, while many classes have tons of abilities that alone hit for more than that on just as short if not shorter of a cd.
  14. Lol bro k first off Ill say this, yes madness is in a good spot right now and is a very self sufficient class. Yes madness has very good offhealing and is incredible at kiting. Now having said that a few points you may want to consider: 1) their self heals dont do anywhere near 50% of their health. 2) the self heals cannot keep up with any class that knows their rotation well if you dont also kite and LoS properly, any madness sorc standing out in the open will get shredded. 3) the only abilities it has that go through armor are its two dots, leeching strike and death field/brand, which is basically just as much if not less than any other class as pretty much everyone has access to elemental/internal dmg. Force Lightning, Demolish and Lightning strike which are its other main abilities are kinetic force dmg and therefore have to go through armor. 4) madness is a relatively low parsing class, yes it can dot spread and amass bigger numbers that way but typically it shouldnt be able to outdps a lot of other classes, and its dot spreading comes at the cost of its self healing and survivability. Also, there is a SERIOUS ramp up time for madness, being a dot spec using a main ability that takes 1.8 secs to cast while having to stand still and doing garbage dmg. A lot of classes and specs are easy to play when you just stick to the basics (namely dot dot and spam force lightning) however anyone who's played enough pvp knows that the longer you live the more the other team is gona come for you, therefore ease of play will mean nothing when you have 4 ppl jumping you and melting you into the ground. Like any class the real skill will come from being able to handle taking on multiple ppl alone. Also the fact that IO and engi require some heat management has no bearing on madness in any way, its an issue that needs to be addressed by the devs in its own right. Madness suffers from force management too if you live long enough and just run around spamming dots. 5) 2 mill healing in the current patch is pretty standard if not trash. Both lethality and annihilation do way more than that, and yes i've outhealed healers bfr playing dps specs but only bcs those healers are garbage. If you're a healer getting as much healing as a dps its time to reroll, sry. 6) like someone mentioned the root is every 9 secs and is essential to madness survivability as its a relatively squishy class when you don't have your escapes up. A well timed root followed by a stun when 2 targets are on you is usually enough to kill you. 7) while madness *can* have burst phases if specced into the correct utilities, you can maybe take away 50% of a person's health with it, and it required a certain amount of setup and abilities at your disposal which are on cd. With ling I was able to litterally reduce a target from 100% to ~15% in just about one stun's worth of time. So yes the ling nerf was well deserved, and the buffs to madness are pretty small, getting 20% self healing off an ability you need to sit and cast which does ~22k dmg over a 1.8 sec cd bfr armor mitigation will maybe grant you an extra 5k heal here and there, which means nothing in a burst meta where ppl are easily hitting 100k+ abilities. As I said, I think we can all agree that madness is in fact doing well in pvp, and that a very skilled player using it will be tough af to beat. however bioware tinkering with madness will more likely than not really mess the spec up, as its been shown to happen over and over and over throughout the years. My advice is if it rly bothers you just roll a madness sorc and play it in 80's, it would seem to me that doing so would seriously make you reconsider most of the points you've made.
  15. Yes it was nerfed by about 5k dmg, and no it wasn't useless, it parsed as much if not more than BotE, tho perhaps not in pvp where ppl have heavy dot DR and die bfr your dots finish
  16. not with their crippling slice root, and at any rate facing them wouldnt make a diff as far as backstab goes bcs the tactical conceal ops use allows it to be used from any angle
  17. You are and aren't doing anything wrong. The truth is that while hatred still does ok especially when you can dot spread, basically every other class has gotten such significant dps boosts that hatred is now pretty much at the bottom of the rung unless you're pretty much an expert player, all it has left for anyone who's not at that level of play is dot spreading, if that. hatred is now so squishy even really bad players playing pretty much any other class can beat you or give you a very hard time, and thats in part due to the fact that classes have so much burst and cc now that hatred just cannot keep up with it. I've suggested heavily boosting Leeching strike and maybe making it unable to miss to give the class some more survivability and on demand damage as without it hatred crumbles in 2.3 seconds. The devs need to start listening to their players but that's pretty much a pipe and a dream at this point.
  18. Hatred survivability is next to non existent and its melee damage is so sad even squishy classes laugh, and this is besides the fact that it has atrocious force management and frequently demands use of your auto attack ( very much like IO ) which imo should NEVER be something that a class requires to use if played correctly. One very obvious way to remedy both of those issues is to buff the damage of Leeching Strike (~15k base dmg is honestly pathetic) and maybe even make it so that the ability cannot miss as hatred desperately needs it to survive. This would balance the class which relies heavily atm on its dots for damage, giving it a modicum of survivability in such a burst heavy patch which would allow its dots a bit more time to do damage.
  19. ATM the Hemophilic Slash Tactical for veng juggs is very underwhelming, it barely does enough to be worth using and that's even with the increased crit chance utility on your dots. A simple fix would be to make the tactical increase Ravage's damage on top of refreshing dots. Right now Ravage hits for roughly 18k dmg, so increasing that by ~25-30% would make it much more viable and would give veng an ever so slight amount of burst for pvp.
  20. The ghost gcds are ruining the game where you activate something and it doesn't go off, just wastes a gcd and you're sitting there like an idiot waiting for the next one. Mad dash is supposed to give you 100% def chance but you still get cc'd, hit and killed MID Mad dash. Server desync is at an all time high , with people constantly dissapearing and hitting you while invisible. Sorc Phase walk is bugged and sometimes just teleports you to your current location. Power yield for powertechs is broken and doesnt do what it's supposed to (build stacks on crit hits received). Many classes have different utilities for mirror classes (ops having 30 sec stun, scoundrels have 45 secs stun, same ability), as well as utilities that don't work properly (scoundrel auto crit on root doesnt work, madness sorc healing on death marks consumption has an internal timer where none is mentioned) People lose class buffs when they queue for pvp in groups. Don't even get me started on operative roll bug and all the other bugs it has to deal with. I can keep going. Point is you guys need to stop listening to the people trying to play Space Barbie in this game and focus on fixing the game instead of adding new content. No one wants to pay to play a game that doesn't work and everyone knows the game is currently in a state of complete ***** with all the bugs, on top of the fact that you guys ask us to tell you what's wrong with the game and nothing seems to be done about it so what's the point. Please stop wtvr you guys are working on and focus completely on FIXING the game.
  21. K, misunderstanding about lethality then. Believe me I have no misconceptions about ranked. You say no one would die in one hard stun unless they're global bait, but there are obviously many times when people die not stunned. Unless you're playing GR (which then does become much more of a numbers game than SR) and die to the sudden death debuff, then there are only so many cds available to people, and any team properly focusing one target would not need more than one consecutive hard stun to kill any one target if major cooldowns are out of the way (looking mostly at escapes or immunities). Also saying that sorc has access to 3 breakers pretty much means nothing unless we're talking about a noob who pops all his cds at once. Any sorc taking focus from a team will have to pop some kind of important cd at some point to live and so calling those "stun breakers" doesn't really mean anything bcs you're taking the sorc out of the fight either way and chipping away at its defenses. Btw, less stuns also means classes will be able to do more damage, especially the ones that require a certain amount of setup to not be interrupted to maximize their damage output. And a pt being immune to stuns for 30 secs straight wont mean that he'll kill the entire team at 1 person/ 5 seconds. FIrst off the pt's burst is not sustainable, and second, like you said, classes have defensives and people to peel for them (if we're talking about a competent group, rare) so no, a pt being immune to stuns for 30 secs would not lay waste to a team. Btw, as it stands, if a pt doesnt break his first stun, he is now immune to cc for at least 30 secs, its basically the same scenario. If you honestly think that calling out in voice chat for someone to get their stun ready as soon as yours goes out to kill a target is hard then we're talking about diff levels of skill here. Tbh this whole conversation is silly. The ability to be hard stunned for 8 secs straight is obviously not he sole way to kill people in any content, be it regs or ranked. Will it make things more difficult? Yes. Is that a good thing? YES. You mention the current meta means nothing bcs burst was always favored for ranked. What does that have to do with anything? I'm saying the current meta is absolutely ridiculous. There is so much burst in the game atm (and less defensives) that having to be hard stunned for 8 secs straight to be able to kill someone is just a L2P issue. Now for all I care they can also reduce the bar's duration from 15 down to 10 secs, as long as it means being able to not die stunned over and over. My point was in fact more focused on regs than it was on ranked, for many reasons, and so I'd still be happy if it only applied to regs, but something needs to be done.
  22. I would love to hear why you think lethality should not be taking Flash bang. Also, you say that without stuns no one in ranked would die. First off, with the current burst meta, any class can die within one hard stun multiple times over. And second, all it really means is that players will have to coordinate with each other better, which would improve player's skill levels. Stuns are currently a crutch in the game. With classes like PT having access to a 5 sec ttk, I find it very hard to believe that one team couldnt obliterate an enemy within one hard stun.
  23. Regardless of all the points made in this thread, cc remains an abused mechanic and its largely due to resolve bar being pretty much useless. PvP is not a 1v1, so all the talk about less cc means **** when you are getting mezzed, pushed, pulled, rooted, stunned, slowed and treated pretty much like a ragdoll on repeat, all while being attacked by multiple people at once. By the time Resolve bar activates you're either already dead or about to be, and when you come back from spawn its already gone and the whole thing starts all over again. And btw this isn't just when you're fighting multiple targets. I love hearing people say stuns can't be spammed. KEK. Just look at PT with their 15 sec hard stun, reduced aoe hard stun, and 3 sec hard stun on grapple, and thats without the 5 sec hard stun available to them. Or maybe look at the retarded amounts of tanks in q who have multiple stuns on a relatively short cd, or should we visit our friends the ops or sins who have cc's on stupid low cds. Another thing to consider: you might think that when it comes down to the stun vs other better utility choice in the skill trees, that people are obviously going to pick the better one, and so there will be less cc in the game. To assume that would be to sorely underestimate the noobs in the game, picking all kinds of random **** in the trees that dont make sense and doing nothing but cc'ing people and running away. Maybe this doesnt happen to noobs in pvp bcs who needs stuns to beat em, but for experienced players pvp is a ****fest of getting perma cc'd to death on repeat. Making resolve bar activate after one hard stun would be the best step forward. If you need to keep someone cc'd for more than one stun's worth, its time to L2P, stop making excuses for people who need cc to do anything in this game, there's no point having as much as there is, it just encourages mediocrity, fosters a whole community of players who haven't a clue how to play the game bcs they rely on cc to do anything, and makes the game much less enjoyable bcs who wants to sit stunned, unable to do anything over and over and over. As far as ranked goes, timing your cc on a healer isnt skill, it takes as little as a quick voice chat heads up. so go bother someone else with your ranked excuses. By the way, this is besides the fact that resolve isnt even working "properly", must be a bug or something going around because you can now get cc'd during white bar. Isn't that something.
  24. I think we can all agree it does the worst damage in the game, yes? I can understand it being a cc heavy class and therefore giving it loads of dmg would make it op however some buffs are certainly needed. One of the obvious ones is you need to make the AoE Heatseekers hit secondary targets for at least half damage, as you see on so many other classes. That 1/4 BS does nothing, its laughable, you can spam AoE attacks all match and think youre gona do great numbers and end up with like 8k dps. Also we need a much more reliable priming shot. Currently the main tacticals for Arsenal are centered around priming shot, which is trash bcs it misses so often, and if it does, your already low dps becomes complete trash. Either give arsenal an inherent 5% accuracy buff in the skill tree, or work on making its other abilities hit harder. I think Heatseeker missiles should be hitting for much more than it currently does. Being one of the spec's main abilities, having a relatively long cd and hitting for only a bit more than other class' fillers is a joke. Gotta find a way to buff it, maybe make it an auto crit every time it hits a target that has your tracer missile debuff, or up the dmg increase from 25% to 50% when hitting a target that has the debuff. Also for an ability that hits so low and has such a garbage accuracy roll, I think Blazing bolts should be getting a solid 10% dmg increase.
  25. Merc does pretty well 1v1, even though you do the worst damage in the game your job as a merc is to cc the target to ****, not even let it get close. You've got loads of utilities available to use to support your team as well as keep yourself out of danger/heal up.
