  1. You think if they are smart enough to create an invincible class that can two shot all other classes, they are smart enough to fix it quickly?
  2. Unfortunantely all of this correct. I have never seen an MMO with so much potential destroy itself so quickly with bad decisions. The MMO community is an unforgiving audience and once you lose them, you lose them for good, regardless of what you change in the future. Until developers learn that Beta actually ends at Beta, they will always fail. I think it is accurate to say the developers are still running SWTOR as if its in Beta. Too late...game over Bioware.
  3. In a very long line of needed nerfs, bounty hunters is far down on that list. Lets be honest.
  4. Yes, basically Marauder has the best of all worlds right now.
  5. Merc is completely useless now. It is possible to do solid damage still however they have no survivability or utility that makes them a needed teammate. In all reality they are a liability which is why I shelved my warhero mercenary and opted to play my nongeared powertech. I can't in good conscious be a liability to my guildmates in upcoming rated warzones. The healing tree is horrible for merc, the tracer tree is broken with no mobility, and pyro is average with no survivability. Merc IS useless in its current state.

  8. The real problem with Marauder is Expertise. Expertise jacked up damage to an all time high which makes EVERYONE do heavy to ridiculous damage. However, everyone are glass cannons currently except for Marauders and Juggernauts (who do much less damage therefore do not appear OP)...this is what makes Marauders OP. Marauders can dish prime damage but stay alive significantly longer than everyone else. This is what creates the imbalance. When "1" class meets "2" class and both are dropping 10 to 15K damage quickly (as created by the new Expertise levels) it is an equal fight; however when "1" class can live two to three times longer than "2" class, "1" class wins everytime. Therefore, the real solution is rollback Expertise changes or lower the survivability of the Marauder to be more in line with other DPS classes.

  10. As long as BW continues to create grossly OP classes, this is going to happen. People are not going to play classes that are nerfed to the point of being ineffective because it simply isn't competitive or fun. I've personally had to shelf my Merc currently who I have placed all my time on because the healing tree is worthless, the tracer tree is broken, and the pyro tree is average. It sucks to see solid classes destroyed in patches and others needlessly OP.
  11. If you cannot see Marauder is OP then you are not pvping enough. It is a clear and evident imbalance.
  12. Absolutely agree. No other game in MMO history was given the resources that this game has been given to develop, and the developers continually and repeatedly drop the ball on this game when it comes to the development of pvp. PVP is a joke and yet again, another game with HUGE potential has already been ruined. I can't imagine this game ever rebounding and most of the subscriber base will be gone after the free months are out. I know I will.
  13. Lol please, this is the least balanced pvp I have seen in TOR since launch. Melee is king, ranged are glass cannons.
  14. Pros: Ridiculous suvivability Ridiculous damage Ridiculous DOT's Self-heals Multiple distance closing abilities Snares Area stun Area speed Vanish if all else fails Cons: None, what else could a class have?
  15. Marauder is like everyone else until 50, then they kick into god mode with Expertise on their side.
  16. Hop into a warzone and approach a marauder one v one. There is little math that can happen in those few seconds....Oh wait, let me guess....you are a marauder. You can argue against it all you want, you all know the nerf hammer is coming. It is the most blatant pvp imbalance to date in TOR.
  17. QFE Marauder in its current state has made pvp in TOR the worst balance I have seen to date.

    Powertechs

    Powertechs have amazing non-mitigated damage but absolutely no survivability. If they had survivability then they would pretty much be mauraders....but then again everyone would.
  19. It is needed but not with as much weight it is currently given. I should not be getting over 20% damage increase ever (and thats just with bm gear). It has created glass cannon battles and way too fast pvp death, which takes all of the strategy and fun out of pvp.
  20. None of these classes were remotely close to the state maurader is in currently. The main difference being that you could beat any of these classes one vs one depending upon the player. Maurader is simply unbeatable one vs one due to game mechanic and damage mitigation. Everyone hits like a truck now, Maurader can just live 5 times longer (or if all else fails just vanish and come back)...you do the math.
  21. As a ranged class myself, I feel your pain. In warzones I feel the pain for about 3 seconds each time, then its over.
  22. 100 percent correct. BW can't seem to get the balance right. It is time for melee to own and ranged to take a back seat.
  23. There is no survivability in pvp currently except for marauder. It is a game of glass cannons and one class you can't take take with two people (marauder).
  24. It is also not "fun-ness" to have one class dominating supreme in warzones. Marauder is flat out ruining pvp in their current state.
