  1. Of course, half of the population that left was just QQing as well. It has nothing to do with the management of the game.
  2. Until they announce 12 hours before 1.3 that rated warzones will not be implemented.
  3. We could come up with all kinds of reasons but the truth is that bioware thinks nothing through when they implement it.
  4. I think we should all be asking for money back on the original game purchase personally..
  5. And 25% is a highly inaccurate figure. The truth is probably about 50 to 70% are unsubbed. The only reason the numbers are only at 25% is all of the free months still running out.
  6. It all hinges on how the server transfer process goes. If these transfers actually create servers with playable populations I may stay. Otherwise, I"m gone for good. There are too many other good games coming over summer to continually waste my time on a no-populated failure of a game.
  7. The game was developed over many YEARS. Once the game releases, it is not BETA anymore and therefore customers should not be treated as BETA players. I believe the community, or whats left of it, has been more than patient.
  8. This is another major failing of the game. There is no allegiance or civil war. There is no open pvp in the world and when players que for pvp (the ONLY form of pvp offered), you rarely even face the so called "opposing" faction. Most of the time you are fighting the same faction or even players of your same guild. It lacks competition and certainly lack the development of allegiance to one faction over another. Of course, not being able to communicate with the opposing factions doesn't help but that is the classic WoW model kicking in so people aren't QQing about grieving.
  9. It is such a train wreck you can hardly look away ...kind of thing. It is amazing how great this game could of been compared to how bad things are currently. While it will certainly spark research so that others won't fail so miserably, it is really simple. Once a game releases, the game is no longer in BETA. The major mistake made by many failing MMO's (not just TOR) is that developers push games out THEN decide that significant changes need to be made. You cannot overhaul your game only after it has been out a few months and expect to keep your playerbase. You cannot treat paying subscribers like BETA players...plain and simple....research done.
  10. I can't name a game that had needed server transfers or merges in the first year but that is why they will not merge. It will make them "look bad" to investors. Server transfers are more PR friendly.
  11. They will not come back because in a few weeks Guild Wars 2 and Secret World come out...both huge MMO releases. Paired with D3, they have no reason to come back to this game full of dead servers.
  12. It is impossible for one specific item (in this case the required kit) ever bringing stability to a game economy. That is because everyone will be crafting the same item and the market will be flooded with one specific item. Crafters will slowly undercut one another in an attempt to create sales and this will simply lead to them going dirt cheap. This will happen quickly. Now compare this to the current crafting process where a crafter can choose from hundreds of augmented items to attempt to create. This allows for a variety of items to be on the kiosks with very little "price undercutting" going on and also allows crafters to find their "niche" to make profit on specific items.
  13. That is correct. Welcome to Artifice being useless once more, as everything will be condensed to a basic crafting kit, that applies to everything, that all crafters will make and undersell each other on until the market price is worthless.
  14. Regardless of how the process occurs, anytime one generic item replaces a mass variety of crafting options supply/demand will never allow that item to be valuable over time. It's basic economics really.
  15. I would but my hand gets tired smashing the space bar through all the rendered sequences everytime I pick up a basic mission.
  16. Maybe you should think reasonably and understand a basic kit will pretty much create the same problem listed above.
  17. VAST difference in supply/demand and potential earnings when comparing a basic generic kit and the massive variety of potential crafted items prior to the kits. The kits will flood the market and sell for near nothing within a couple weeks.
  18. This game DID have that potential but was utterly mismanaged. Right now Blizzard is having a non-stop party as they prepare for their next expansion, since TOR was the only real title that could have challenged them. Christmas bonuses all around for Blizzard this year. They should send BW/EA multiple fruit baskets this year in appreciation.
  19. So BW/EA attempts to stimulate the game economy and make crafters worthwhile by allowing crafters to create "crit-crafted" gear that adds augment slots to individual gear, and now with the upcoming publishes, the augmented slots are automatically added by anyone through obtaining a singular, generic crafting kit that can be crafted by any crafter. This takes crafting from a near endless variety of individual crafting options to make profit, to a singular crafting kit that wil be replicated by all crafters; this will destroy supply and demand, and it will eventually make even the crafting kits near worthless to sale for marginal profits. This is why people continually leave this game. The player works to improve their characters and attempts to be rewarded for their work in sales or combat: in this case grind crafters to make top of the line gear: then soon after everything is just handed to all players for nothing. This has been a cycle since the release of the game in all areas of the game. Noone has a desire to work for anything in this game or spend time doing it because sooner or later (generally "sooner") it will just be handed to them for free with no effort. Soon all crafting professions will be near worthless yet again. Put another check in the "wiinning" column for BW/EA.
  20. ...too late. BW/EA has already lost a significant amount of customers that will never give this game a chance again, regardless of the changes or improvements they made. At best, this game may be average one day.
  21. They are cleaning house. TOR has been an utter failure and completely mismanaged. Their PR department continues to spin lies and in the mean time BW/EA actions toward their employees tells the real story. "you failed with this game..you're gone". The TOR community is up in arms and has been for a prolonged period of time. It does not come as a suprise that the person in charge of community relations is gone.
  22. FACT: SW:TOR recently experienced the largest and quickest loss of player subscriptions in MMO history. FICTION: this article
  23. Adrenals have died. The heal stims are near worthless and all other buyable pvp stims are much better in power and effect. Yet another crafting profession Bioware has destroyed....
