The free transfers being promised during the summer will likely be to low/medium populated servers that noone wants to move on to begin with. Therefore, the only legitimate option will be to pay for a transfer to one of the few servers left with solid populations. Bioware indicates that this will actually follow the option of free transfers meaning possibly months later. By then titles like Guild Wars 2, Secret World, and World of Warcraft's new expansion will be out. Does Bioware actually think people will be buying transfers when they can be buying one of these new titles instead? I can't imagine buying a transfer over any one of these new titles. What do other SW:TOR gamers think about this? Pay for a new MMO title or transfer? (Vote away!)

These transfers will fix nothing. The free transfers will be to servers that are already dead and noone wants to play on. The fact that BW is even thinking about charging people to transfer is the final straw that will break their back. BW has created this dead population of servers by inept decisions and poor management, and now we pay for it? Not out of my pocket.

Wait until early summer when all the new MMO's come out, not to mention the WoW expansion in the Fall. There won't be a server left alive.

The melee vs ranged balance is the worst it has ever been in TOR with melee being king. It is an imbalance that never should have happened and should be corrected already; however due to BW incompetencies it will probably continue indefinantly since they don't play their own game.

They have basically back pedaled on all rated warzone promises which has obviously destroyed their population. Since the next major content patch will focus on pve you can pretty much kiss rated warzones goodbye for an extended period of time (months to years my guess...if the game lasts that long of course).

Yeah this is one of the MANY problems with pvp currently. The resolve bar simply does not work and if you find yourself in a mob of people, you can be CC'd for up to 10 plus seconds at a time, which is a lifetime in pvp.

SWTOR cannot be saved. The developers have already infuriated and isolated their original subscribers. Once a dev team leaves that type of impression, the MMORPG community is unforgiving. They have permanantly tainted their reputation at this point and TOR is doomed to be average at best with a small long-term community. The fact that servers already need consolidated is completely ridiculous and a clear sign of things to come.

Yeah feel free to post any other class combat log doing that in pvp. I have multiple characters (none of which are a maurader). No other class in the game can hit like that.

The role of merc currently is to die as fast as humanely possible. Merc DPS is a liability currently; don't even que with one.

PVP balance is the worse it has ever been to date.

I have a merc. He is pointless in wz and horrible 1 vs 1. I no longer play him.

The problem is ridiculously OP DPS,,,, paired with ridiculously OP Defense,,,,, paired with Vanish,,,, paired with self heals,,,,, paired with...well you get the point.

Marauders clearly are the top OP class by miles. One of these days maybe Bioware will get around to fixing it before their entire pvp populations quits the game.

PT dps is no better than anyone else's dps. You just need to know how to play against them, as with any other class. All classes are glass dps cannons, excluding marauders and shadows of course which can live forever AND shell out crazy damage.

Because Melee now owns Ranged in pvp with ease.

I call a ban for all weapons in the game....they do damage!

Currently there is no reason to play a ranged class in pvp unless you love getting owned in 2 seconds one on one.

Yeah there is no real reason to pvp currently if you are ranged anything....unless you enjoy being destroyed in two hits by every melee character in the game.

Just hang up your merc bro....Merc is broken and has no survivability whatsoever any longer (even though you have heavy armor). I had to stop playing mine because it is simply a liability in warzones currently. Melee is king.

Yeah because focusing on PVE has gone so well for them.....
