  1. problem is with tor bioware tried the open world pvp idea on illum.... and what a disaster that turned out to be, and bottom line, is the hero engine cant handle that many players close together, the ROOT of most of this games issues is the hero engine.... and the devs know there is nothing that can be done about that so IMO they are frantically trying to make the best of what they have to work with (which isnt/will not work) there tasked with the idea of turning horse $hit into hay.... and bottom line is, people are leaving by the 10s of thousands, and wont be back... this is a sinking ship, that honestly i see know way to recover from.... and to all you people who tell us "if you dont like it leave dont post negative comments if you dont like it" the reason we post in here is we are pissed off, myself personally waited for this game FOR YEARS! I played wow since BC and could not wait to get away from it and play a MMO with star wars as the theme, and truth be told TOR isnt half the game wow is. Its sad but true, only thing that was NEW and different from wow was voice overs, and cut scenes while leveling..... everything else was a let down and not on par with wow. Bottom line is we are posting in here because we are upset this is the final product we are given to "enjoy" and it turned out to be a bust. We post because we are upset, we post because we WANTED THIS TO SUCCEED!!!!
  2. I have been trying to get this point across every time i post in threads like this, you have all these people crying about the game failing because there are to many servers, its true people are leaving this game in droves every single day and i have news for you guys, ITS NOT BECAUSE OF LOW SERVER POPS, sure that has something to do with it, but there are much much larger issues why people are leaving this game. 3 months ago the servers for the most part had decent populations. Did they all start leaving massively because of low server pops, absolutely not, the game got very bland after 1.2 and even before it. The lack of content, and endgame material is ultimately what started to make people lose interest in this game. that is why we started to see the decline of populations. Server transfers and mergers could possibly help the existing population but it sure as hell isnt going to respark this game and get thousands of people to come flocking back, it just isnt gunna happen
  3. im with ya buddy i gave up as well, i cant justify paying 15$ a month for a single player rpg that has nothing to offer once you hit level cap. Im not going to stand by and hand my money over to company that doesn't listen to its consumers on how to fix improve this game. I truly hope bioware can turn it around, but i honestly think its to late, the next few months are going to be very interesting as to what bioware does, or doesn't do to try and save this game from total failure.
  4. not everyone enjoys paying money for a game that is going down in flames
  5. just cancelled my sub its a bittersweet feeling, I really hope bioware turns it around and i can come back in a few months to a revamped game and actually HAVE FUN playing once again..... goodluck to all of you who are stickin it out with them
  6. your joking right ? you think they will make money with free to play , it has been said by bioware they figured they needed AT MINIMUM 500k paying subscribers to keep this game in the black, going free to play would NOT make them money, and trust me Bioware and EA ARE WORRIED about the massive subscribtion loss they are taking right now not even at the 6 month mark of the game, its business bro, and paying subscribers is all a board of investors cares about, you tell a board room of people who invtested millions into this game "free to play" you would get laughed out of the room,
  7. so what do you suggest then, that bioware/ea doesnt listen to their community and what they want?
  8. spot on right with that quote, if this game didnt have jedis, imperials and wookies, people would not be so quick to defend it saying its a great game, and isnt in need of "saving" if it my juggernaut was reskinned in ORC gear people would actually see this game for what it really is.....
  9. Yeah, the last reports from bioware is they were claiming a loss from 1.7 million subs to 1.3 and that was back in March, what people and or bioware arent taking into account is the included play time from the box users 60 days is it? and also they are going by subs and not active players, When the next quarter comes out its going to be eye opening several websights and mmo critics sites, are claiming that they data they have been gathering from the dailys SERVER Population (the actual people playing there subs) is estimating the true active community somwhere around 600k now and still falling, so when next statement comes out from bioware and they claim to go from 1.3 million down to 600k they are dangerously close to the 500k sub threshold they need to keep this game profitable (using biowares own words) so im curious when those #s get released just to see how bad it really has gotten in the last 60 days
  10. Also this post is only a few days old, quoting about 400 thousand players un subbing in last couple months... http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/400000-players-left-the-old-republic-in-the-last-3-months-12771
  11. I agree, I have a feeling if drastic changes aren't implemented quickly, there going to have no choice but to go F2P to keep servers alive, cuz at this rate, nobody wants to pay 15$ a month to level a toon in 3 days, and sit around waiting for them to give us new content.
  12. Just wanted to add one more thing to all you people who don't think the game is in ANY trouble whatsoever, and their are plenty of you. If the game wasn't in trouble or headed for failure, just look at all the threads JUST LIKE THIS, and even Google TOR failure threads and you will find THOUSANDS of people upset, done with the game, evidence of massive subscription loss, and you will see the evidence yourself, if there wasn't issues with this game and it was the greatest thing ever, like some of you claim, why are there thousands of upset consumers, and people calling this the TORTANIC? if this game wasn't in trouble, we wouldn't be making, and posting in threads like this.
  13. Exactly, they realized they had a sinking ship, and actually listened to their community and WERE COMMUNICATIVE about the changes they were working on as fast as they could, that is what saved them from completely going under. Bioware needs to do the same, and stop being a ego driven. They need to admit their mistakes and act on them before everyone decides enough is enough, this game can still be saved IMO but they need to act fast
  14. you could be right here, I just had higher expectations for this game, and I will admit I came from WoW in hopes this would blow WoW outta the water, and to be honest the first couple weeks, i truly thought it had, But once I hit 50 and raided for a few weeks, the bubble done popped for me.
