  1. my bad, I meant the sarcasm detection force... I play an Assassin too, and that was my opinion of 99% of the "Nerf Tankassins nao!" crowd. WZ's are so zergy it is damn near impossible to claim any 1 specific class is OP. Just my opinion, sorry for the confusion.
  2. The sarcasm force is not strong in this one.....
  3. I couldn't find this "Reqruit" gear after looking in fleet and Dromund Kaas.. The closest I found was 'Recruit" gear or a bunch of orange gear on the GTN. Is the recruit gear ok until I get BM gear or no?
  4. Hi, I was chain CC'd and killed in 5 seconds while I was fighting a countless number of opposing forces in a WZ today. I distinctly remember seeing an Assassin in the vicinity so I am here to tell you they are OP!!! And no, there is no way any of the other players that zerged me had any effect on this encounter! It was the Assassin I am sure of it!
  5. Not only is it never a 1v1 fight, more like 3v1, but the constant zergling CC really makes me scratch my head when someone says "X" is OP nerf them!! There is no way you could possibly tell if a class is OP, period.
  6. As stated before, any and all world PvP dies the moment you introduce instanced PvP. Adding in the ability to que up while remaining in fleet furthers kills off any world PvP... Having some planets to fight over for control would help, but you then need to look at possibly doing away with separate PvP gear/stats, and maybe forcing PvE players to travel there to do FP's etc..? Either way, running the same ol' WZ's day, after day, after day for no real reason gets stale very quick...... We need a reason to fight, and no, rated WZ's is not the answer............
  7. Remember the days of getting slightly better gear (stat wise) doing PvE encounters which you would also use to PvP in? That format goes as far back as MMO's were created.... IMO, once a separate set of gear with a specific attribute (exp, resil) won through instanced PvP you effectively kill any and all open world PvP, and the whole epic 'warring factions' feeling to the game. This is further embellished upon when you allow opposing forces to stand in a safe haven and que up without ever having to travel into dangerous territories. Think about it once... AT level 50 when do you really ever see the other side you are at 'war' with? In order to get that epic war feeling you need opposing faction player interaction besides instanced PvP.
  8. Never a truer word spoken. But I digress, what they really want is a gear gap so large it is nigh impossible to close unless you can live in game and forgo all real life duties. This way they are ensured once they get ahead of the gear curve they will remain ahead and the real competition is who can kill more under geared noobs (aka- no skill players).
  9. EXACTLY! They also had no instanced PvP which meant you had active world PvP. Gear progression should be left for PvE encounters, not PvP encounters. Rewards for PvP, sure, but it should be more for bragging rights not ezmode stomp the less geared noobs.
  10. WoW's zones were not all that big and they had MANY areas you could not traverse. If that is your 'idea' of an open world you need to get out more. Vanguard's world blew WoW's world size away and once the average computer caught up ran pretty seamless. Unfortunately the design was way ahead of its time. I would recommend going to look at Mortal Online once. Now that is a world you could literally get lost in for hours upon hours. It is entirely seamless with no zones and there isn't an area you cannot get to. If you see a place of interest way off in the horizon you can get there - eventually. It is the explorers wet dream. Unfortunately the devs do not have the financial backing this game received. As with WoW, world PvP insta-died as soon as they introduced instanced PvP with rewards. Many games pre-WoW had active world PvP because they had no instanced PvP for rewards. Once you offer a separate set of gear won through a separate world (instanced PvP) you immediately kill any and all forms of world PvP.
  11. I haz no job, I needz job, why I no can apply???
  12. And there you have it folks.. The 90% of his guild has spoken! /case closed
  13. Funny, I have had the opposite experience since dinging 50 less than a week ago. I spent all but 25k of my credits on recruit gear. Since then I have ONLY done PvP and now sit at 45k cool credits.......... Now, how much is that rank 3 speeder skill + speeder again??? Not to mention crew skills and gearing up for PvE.... Yup, I am making so much I made a alt to shoot the coins in the air as I recupe my health!!!!
  14. As a fresh 50 I don't live long enough to survive most stuns period. My easily noticed health pool draws attention like flies on sh*t, true story lol. IMO, they need to address TTK before CC. CC is an annoyance at times but the current TTK is just god awful.
  15. Ding ding ^^^^^ Fresh 50 here in recruit gear... waaaay behind the gear curve and easily stomped due to gear only. It is no fun getting beat down like a red headed step child and then receive 0 comms for the futile effort. But ya, they claim I will get the gear someday when my skills stop sucking it has nothing to due with gear...
  16. And in 4 months people will be saying this very same about GW2. **** it is getting old already....
  17. Thanks, you just proved that tankassins are not out of line, comparably speaking, when you would expect them to be with dps gear . Doing sustained damage of 400ish with burst spikes of 1200ish every 15ish seconds is so game breaking they need to delete the class!
  18. Right, the healer should be able to hold himself up. The reason is due to just hard capped player numbers in WZ's. If a healer could tank a dps, while holding up 1 more team mate with heals, he effectively negates 3 players, not 2, as it would require 1 more dps to kill the team mate or the healer. At that point if your opposition had 3 healers there would be no reason to attempt the WZ. Assuming all gear equal is equal ofcourse.
  19. Ideally they should be able to defend 1v1 and not die, as well as, not be able to kill the dps. Now, toss in 1 more dps (2v1) and eventually the healer should fall due to interrupts and push back etc. I'm not saying the 2 dps should mop the floor with the healer, but in no way should the healer be able to out heal 2 dps while beating down their health bar. Just my opinion.
  20. Blizzard brought nothing to the table other than turning this genre into a repetitive time sink grind fest. There is no creativity anymore, just grind, grind, grind and grind some more. Then they release an xpack and you get to rinse and repeat. If anything it is time the MMO market did away with this model. You want to play a game like it is a job? The asian mmo's are over there ----------------->
  21. Nah, the whiny snot nosed no lifers want to have full blown WH gear while their competition is in recruit or pve gear. The fact that they will have still have an easier time getting WH gear before a fresh 50 gets BM gear is beyond their comprehension. They want to steam roll and that is all there is to it, period. The only competition they want is which fully geared guy on their team is going to 1 shot the noob 50 first.
  22. What I read is: "***? So called PvP'rs expect me to quit my job, quit my social life, eat, sleep, and sh*t at my computer for the next 5 months just to be competitive and have fun in PvP??" Let your skill determine the outcome not the gear disparity. I am good to go if I have BM and you have war hero because the gap isn't that huge. What many fail to realize is the gear gap grows to even more unreachable heights as the game progresses for a fresh level capped player. For example, how many full BM/war hero players did you face upon reaching level 50?? I am guessing 0....
  23. But I thought the whole point of competitive PvP was to play on equal terms, or gear gaps with slightly better stats, not gear gaps that = an IWIN button??
