  1. Way to welcome me back to swtor. Thanks Bioware. Holy crap. Whatever, no more crafting until this is fixed, just hoarding materials..
  2. "We had to build a large engine, which is always a challenge. " Golden. Does he have any idea what he's talking about?
  3. I really can't stand this whole 'friends/guild/community' excuse for why we don't need a dungeon finder tool. You can group with them any time, with or without a tool. You can get groups using LFG and never speak to anybody beyond the initial invite. You can join an LFD group and initiate conversation. If it breaks your heart that nobody wants to respond to you in an LFD group, you have to realize two things: 1) that can happen in a 'regular' group also! and! 2) Nobody in this game has to speak to you if they do not desire to. Just go ahead and leave the group if it bothers you that much, it's not a big deal. They can find another DPS to take your spot. In wow, i've actually made a ton of cross-server friends using the tool, so your community-killing nonsense goes straight out the window. Besides, you were never a community - you're telling people to find guilds and group with your guild, that's not community. THAT is what is killing your idea of community - the thought that you have to find a small group of individuals to join with so that you can enjoy the games content. You are, yourself, splintering your server into tiny little factions. Good job. If you can't handle your community becoming larger due to cross-server, well, you can just stick to your guild like you are right now. You're not hurting anybody, and neither am I with my randoms and my cross-server buddies.
  4. You forgot that there was a lengthy beta process in which bugs that still exist today were ignored.
  5. Are you seriously implying that 'brokers' are sitting hunched at their desks watching these forums for stock trading information? really?
  6. YEAH! How dare people want an OPTION that they can TOGGLE ON OR OFF and choose to ENHANCE THEIR OWN EXPERIENCES while leaving yours ABSOLUTELY UNAFFECTED You tell em, OP!
  7. Personally I find it very amusing that world of warcraft can lose more subscribers than any other mmo has been able to retain, and still remain on top by a wide margin.
  8. What in the world is wrong with you? Talk about a kneejerk reaction, I don't see him raging, nor do I see him flipping out and demanding that bioware respond to him immediately or he's going to call the united nations, cry, and sue everyone who ever existed. Calm the hell down.
  9. I remember when 'griefing' was camping somebodys corpse all day long and looting every item they dropped. These days it's sitting on my speeder in a public area? Crazy.
  10. You know, you really can make the same point in your thread without rude nonsense like this. This isn't fox news, where you're with us or you're against us. If you want to know what will kill a community, it's that kind of attitude.
  11. YEAH. I much prefer the "doing dailies till I can stop spamming LFG" gameplay IT IS INNOVATIVE AND REVOLUTIONARY.
  12. That's what you'd think at first glance. However, in a years time, when bioware is desperately scrambling trying to gather subscribers, they will send me an email. A desperate plea, telling me of all the things that have changed! Please come back, dear player. It's better now, I promise. And I will look. We'll see, what I am worth.
  13. No. That is not how you get heard. I love starwars with all my heart. I am an avid MMO player, and have been for the last fifteen years of my life. I own every single bioware product they have put out. You would think, all these qualities put together in one game - I would be ecstatic, and would be so happy that I would pay my money, suffer any problems, and gladly hand them my money. That is not what I am going to do. They have crapped on their own starwars lore, they have crapped on the basic functions of mmos, and they have released a sub-par product, far from the claims that they made previous to its release. I will not give them any more money until they change those things.
  14. It's funny that in a thread laying blame for failure on people who are disappointed with the product, you have people telling anyone who disagrees or dislikes anything in this game to 'go away'
  15. Expecting a game to be the game that has been described and advertised to you for the last four years is not asking too much. I understand, OP, that there will be flaws, bugs, and things that need adding later - but SWTOR simply is not the game that we were told it was. Within minutes of logging in were you doing things in SWTOR that you never expected to do in an MMO? Is the combat heroic, and do you find yourself feeling like a mighty starwars hero, instead of one of a cluster of players attempting to bring down one single enemy? Do the choices you make in the storyline matter? Or is story simply another form of progression? Farm those LS/DS points so that you can use your swanky LS/DS gear!
  16. Hold on another window popped up and closed the windows I was actually doing things in let me bring them back up and get back to where I was so that I can continue doing what I was doing, what a great feature this ui is revolutionary! Bioware, being the genius triple A developers that they are, should implement a UI experience bar. The higher your UI level the harder the UI is to use. Make this game about skill. REAL skill. INTERFACE SKILL. hur dur
  17. I really, personally, believe that bioware should remove the entire concept of basic and advanced classes. You should pick marauder, or juggernaught, from the start. Going from Warrior to Marauder to whatever skill tree you want within marauder just seems to be too fluffed. And it would also alleviate all this silly "confusion"
  18. 6/10. This game is a step backwards in a genre that needs to move forward. Now it can be argued that the mmos of old were far better than the mmos of new, and to a point I agree. These days, however, we have more intuitive controls, UIs, and a much more fleshed out and thoughtful set of features. That is where this game steps backwards. If it had stepped backwards in other areas, such as going from instancing back to full open worlds ala Asherons Call and Ultima Online, I would be very pleased. However, it didn't. It gave us safe, closed off little areas with very little player interaction, along with outdated interfaces.
  19. Did it look weird plastic and textureless? You may have simply had a bugged texture.
  20. considering only subscribers are allowed to post here - we already do pay.
  21. Having some target dummies on my ship would be pretty sweet! On the space stations as well - in the combat training area I would assume. But I'm always down for more stuff in my ship!
  22. Yes, he asked why it can't be like wow. Oh no! So many other things in this game are like wow - and wow is the most successful mmo to date, so why not ask? Worst that will happen is nothing. I'm just saying - relax. Just because someone says wow does not mean the world is ending - there are threads out there where it's taken to ridiculous levels, go to those and take it out on them, not anyone who asks a question.
