  1. I agree. An iconic planet like Tatooine needs to be revisited and this is such a cool reason to do just that. It opens up opportunities for more player-player interaction and I really like the rewards. Keep these cool events coming Bio!!!!
  2. So far the legacy family tree is extremely lackluster. You can't have more than 1 kid. And even if your storyline has you married to your companion, you can't incorporate that into your tree. Not to mention, I haven't seen 1 benefit to establishing a family tree. Is there any reason to make one yet other than personal satisfaction of crafting a wonky multi-species family tree representing a family reunion that nobody would want to attend?
  3. 3 hours every day is axtually quite a lot. That's 21 hours a week. I wish I had that kinda time to play. And I have plenty to do yet. Multiple class stories, companion arcs, Ops, FPs, WZs, events, crew skill maxing & schematic hunting, etc.
  4. You basically described a Shadow. So you like all the things that are a shadow...obviously none of the other classes are going to be exactly the same, so you're going to have to make compromises. Which aspects are MOST important? Stealh? melee/range? armor type? complexity? Try Guardian: you get a few force moves, mostly whacking with a saber, and lotsa CDs. Sentinels are NOT squishy, especially as you level. Their plethora of CDs give them more survivability than any other dps class. While they are dps only, they have enough control to be versatile. Scoundrels are the only other stealth class, but you will be shooting people at point blank range. Though if you don't mind Empire, Operatives use knives.
  5. Stay with the BH, the story is much better. As for playstyle, be light side. You're a bounty hunter, not a soldier. Follow your own rules!
  6. Been playing a Smuggler Gunslinger lately and it's fantastic. The story is good and the converastion even better. While true that the Smuggler is a bit fragile, mine hits like a truck. Trooper is kinda EZ mode from what I hear (heavy armor, range attack, huge AOE early). But I prefer a more challenging class as it keeps me from getting bored with a 3 button rotation. Be a space cowboy; be a Smuggler.
  7. Questing alone nets more and more credits as you get higher. Starting now you'll notice that. Also, stay away from the GTN. If you have Crew Skills, you're probably flushing away credits without even noticing it. Sending your companions on missions costs credits and it adds up fast. I leveled my Sage with Bioanalysis, Scavenging, & Slicing. Just gather as you quest (costs nothing) and sell the Bio & Scav mats. My Sage was never broke. My Sentinel I leveled with Artifice and its accompanying crew skills and money was an issue early on. I could mod my orange gear so that was nice, but had to borrow from my Sage for Speeder Training at 25. I suggest being smart about your Crew Skill investment, do Heroics for Orange gear, take commendations as quest rewards to keep the gear up-to-date, choose 1 companion and only gear them, keep questing. GL
  8. Wait, can you only do 1 Daily quest each day or each Daily quest once a day? I thought I could do em all and they don't disappear once new ones appear.
  9. I agree completely. I love this game, but it does get disheartening to see <20 people on the fleet at peak times. I think people would play more if they all had a better chance to do Heroics, FPs, Ops, and PvP more frequently. My guild is constantly complaining about the endless queue for WZs.
  10. I think Crated gear should be equal to end-game gear. This way, crafters can't hold gear hostage for obscene prices nor will they feel obsolete. Instead I think crafters should have equal gear ratings but different skins. So you can be a min-maxer and either rock a crafted red body armor or a blue one you grinded for.
  11. This works. It's just a shame that it needs to be done. Boarding your ship just to get rid of 6 companion gift missions? Annyoing!
  12. I'm having the same issue with my Twilek Sage since 1.2
  13. I rolled a female smuggler just to hear the voice actor and I gotta say...not impressed. She sounded old and the delivery just didn't have the smug irony the male has.
  14. That's funny, considering when I started in December there were Troopers EVERYWHERE on my server! Guess it was appealing at start-up but people got faceroll bored.
  15. Cuz i'm not level 50. I'm level 42 and those skill ranks have been sitting idle at the trainer since the end of Chapter 1. At 50 when I have more cash, I'll train em. Till then, don't use em, don't need em.
  16. I don't PvP. So my answer is no it's not worth it. I haven't bought the new rank of 2 movement imparing abilities for my Sentinel and I'm not missing it. I don't use em, I don't need to drop 30k on the rank-ups.
  17. As an aside, if you want to be a ranged Jedi, roll a Consular and pick the Sage advanced class.
  18. Keep going with JK. The Ch 2 storry doesn't have you hunting all over the galaxy, I think only 2 planets. The Ch2 ending is pretty awesome to be honest. Now I'm in Ch 3 and I'm amped for the end-game. Should be pretty kick-*****.
  19. I found the JC story much more personal, especially early on. Haven't gotten a JC past Ch1 tho. However, JK is quite epic. If you've read any of the Old Republic books or played KOTOR you will recognize a lot of characters and events. I though Ch 2 started a little goofy eye-rolling. But when Ch 2 ended for JK I was like "whooa!" so it does get better. As far as play-style, I love the Knight (Sentinel for me) and got really bored with my Sage. I think the earlier postings are correct: if you don't like it, reroll. If you're bored find something that doesn't bore you. Simple. However, don't knock a class cuz you don't die, that's kinda the idea. And you can't say Knight is a faceroll EZ mode class...that's Trooper - GL
  20. I'm still quite low level with my GS but I am having a blast. Leveling SS and together, me & Corso can take on anything. I have enough CC, to keep things off me, and my shots hit like a truck. Once you get comfortable with the cover mechanic, you're golden. Keep at it. PS- I hated Scoundrel.
  21. Could be a bug. Lucky Shots is a class-specific buff that all Smugglers get. You can cast it on yourself and allies and it does last 60 mins. Check your buffs bar above your health. If it is disappearing, report it.
  22. I know for a fact that when igniting and closing down various lightsabers they have unique sounds. If lightsabers are an indicator, then blasters should each have their own unique sound too. Having said that, you'll prob only notice the sound for your white attacks tho.
  23. First, you can't judge all smugglers by Han Solo. You know they wrote Star Wars books? Talon Karrde (prob the coolest smuggler of all) being a huge character in the novels. And then there's that smuggler (forget her name) that broke the Mandalorian blockade of the hyperspace lanes. Lando used to be a smuggler before going legit. Han wasn't the only smuggler. As far as iconic things for smugglers: the best conversation in the game, profit and self-preservation as a way of life. A BH barely uses its jetpack in-game. Smugglers use their wit & charm throughout. As for sneaking or not skeaing: Yes, Han charged the troopers on the Death Star. After he stealthed around disguised as a trooper. He snuck around Endor, hunting for the backdoor to the shield generator, he scrapped hand-to-hand with speeder troopers....Need I go on? No.... Smugglers are a completely appropriate class in SWTOR.
  24. NOTE: 1.2 fixed this issue. Now you can port to the fleet (like at the end of Act II) and it won't bug.
  25. That's some bull$****. I have a 42...and a whole lotta alts. But apparently that's not good enough for Bio. boo-hiss!!!!
