  2. Yes, I think the silence speaks volumes. Stuns are so bad you end up just having to take your hands off the controls and submit. Maybe its time to have an "Ask the devs" section on the forum where they promise to answer all questions asked honestly....even if that answer is an honest "we don't know". Communication is key for the success of this game....it shouldn't be THAT hard.
  3. Devs, Gunslingers in PVP whats the story? I'd just like to hear your reasoning as to the role you see them playing? There may be other classes that perform badly but anyone who knows anything in PVP knows to wipe Gunslingers and Snipers out 1st - even before you go at the healers. We have no defense worth its salt and the only reason I am the only one queuing as one is because I'm stuborn. In the name of good communication with a player who has subbed since launch, I'd like an honest reply.
  4. I have a situation where my utility bar is not directly above the dropdown when I have moveable secondary windows checkbox actioned. The dropdown part is off halfway across the screen. Does anyone have a solution to this please?
  5. Playing my gunslinger in Huttball just now and was leaving base and walking up initial mid ramp. I was put to sleep from agent in stealth. Another player runs down the ramp past me with the ball and scores and then as he is running back up the ramp stuns me again. By the time I can move the same player is back with the ball again (almost immediately), scores a second time and then the two of them knock 7 shades of you know what out of me and kill me without a chance to reply in any fashion (couldn't get a stim heal off or anything. I just had to laugh. Marksmanship slingers are being dumped on in PVP and no amount of could have or should have will change that. They even took the knockback at the end of penetrating blast away....I'd like to meet the person who pushed that through and have a word.

Thats what I thought at first ...like the time at the start of Covid and my wife accidently cut through the fibre cable running the perimeter of our garden and I was mid warzone (I thought I was doomed to a lockdown without broadband!) The pylon was definately capped and I saw another player trying to "cashin" his orb too at the same time. I'll keep an eye out for it in the future and report back!
  7. I wasn't concentrating on orbs but if i'm mid and they are there for the taking I'm going to take them...so many games go a pylon each team and then every little advantage counts. Just annoying having carried the thing that it doesn't end up boosting score. If I knew it was broken I could have just concentrated on kills and pylon capture.
  8. I appreciate your points but my input was lowest of all my team and even some of the opposing/losing team were as good...this shouldn't be the case.
  9. Was playing PVP tonight (sun 20th Aug) and collected orbs were not activating which meant the game dragged on for an etertnity. How long has this been a thing?!
  10. Just came out of a wz where I scored 3 of the 6 goals in huttball - I had the least objectives by far. Surely in huttball the objective is to score. It shouldn't be the case that teammates PVP'ing and ignoring the ball should come out with more objectives. Its seriously messed up. If you want to reward straight dps have a deathmatch map like 4 v 4 but where you are playing the ball you should get rewarded properly. Also - if you play a pure dps class you do not have the ability to gain objective medals for the PVP season in the same way as those that can heal or tank in addition to dps - this needs to be looked at. Finally, can we have somewhere on the forums or in the game that actually tells you what you do get a medal for, its not good enough that this sort of info is left to the realm of influencers or those with their own websites that support the game. Really, at the end of each game there should be an objectives list and a tick box against the ones you've achieved. imo.
  11. Well no developer has touched some bugs that have been there since the launch of the game so maybe just those ones!
  12. AI should be avoided at all costs where possible...its just taking people's jobs away and who wants that? If it aided bug fixes or something there might be merit in it but replacing or suplementing actors work, no.
  13. I guess I'm just fortunate that having put in the hours already I can bypass the clicking this time. Its still a shame the armor set, while in parts nice looking, still has that collar that even short hair clips through. It would be nice if they'd put alternatives around the jacket and helm that would reflect choices for each class.
  14. Just me or are the rewards this year poor? The armor set is ok, but you can just acquire it with golden certs, which if you have played in previous years you could have a lot of and therefore no further involvement needed. (Is the collar meant to be lopsided or is that a bug because in cut scenes the short sided elements seem to jitter all over the place at times?) The mount is very similar to one already available through the vendor and which nobody seems to get hyped for. No new companion or animal mount. No new short missions to run or new games to play. Just seems like I can check out of it without spending a single credit - not much of a credit or time sink.
  15. Its not the real world where transfers between spouses are non taxable. You are not married for the purpose of this game!!
  16. Same as @Midassi I have logged in using the launcher since 2011 and never had this issue. Now logging in after the update on 4th July I can access the game by ignoring the message and just clicking into the character. Will this cause a problem down the road by skirting around the warning? OK, I logged out and clicked on the warning - it fired me back to Windows. I re-launched the launcher and it downloaded the weekly patch again and now the warning has gone.
  17. Thanks for the info Keith. I think I've had so much disappointment with almost everything after the Ziost story (hated Kotet and Kotfe in particular and Commander moniker) and yet there is somethng about the game that keeps me playing I'm prepared to see what happens. I hope the devs which whom we are familiar are to retain their roles in the new structure and that Broadsword truely does enable some improvements which are long overdue. Crafting and gearing are in such a bad place right now its just beyond further comment. Galactic Seasons is fun but, as others have stated, its losing some of its lustre. Those of us who have stuck with the game for over a decade want to to see the game thrive so lets hope it does. I appreciate the communication about what is happening. The track record in that regard during your tenure has been less than promised I feel and I just wanted to voice my feeling that being kept in the loop as a player DOES matter. My expectations are low so hopefully you and your team can surpass them, I wish you and them every ounce of encouragement in your efforts.

With 50 toons on a server and legacy banks and 7 cargo bays each along with multiple companions if you end up looking for an item or armor its near impossible to find - can we please have a search facility that would point us to its location that would work across all toons on the server. I'm guessing that I'm going to get a NO on this but if you don't ask you certainly don't get.

Yes, for a small guild which a single player has pretty much self funded there is real jeopardy around taking a break and kicking everyone is not ideal as it can take a long time to renew links with players or forge new ones. Something needs to be done about this, there is no guarantee that the small group that might start out together will all last the course and its not fair to have to abandon all that you have worked towards. Devs can someone please address these issues please or at least lets have a discussion around what players would like to see happen?

I'll chip in on this in saying that it took me a long time to get into GSF but largely through better conquest point rewards and galactic conquest seasons objectives I have taken to liking this aspect of the game a lot more than I thought I would at the outset. Thanks to those who have posted schooling videos which make up for the game's poor tutorial this has helped also. Given that it seems to be a central part of conquest objectives which has undoubtedly encouraged many to try it out, it really could do with some new maps and also some further adjustments to prevent certain classes of players from getting kicked while playing their roles earnestly. Have to say I'm not a huge fan of PTS - I pay my sub to play the game not test it and even when I do pitch in in that regard the population is so low its often hard to achieve anything. I do agree also that Eric seems to have taken a real back seat with regard to his presence on the forum (yes I am aware his role has changed) and its a shame having built up a good rapport that this is the case.
  21. Would a fresh start server be one that you could not transfer characters/funds to? - could be mildly interesting. I sort of have that in the German server but it comes with the difficulty of not being able to speak German! I'd have no interest in going back to game like at launch as walking for 14 levels is zero craic.

  24. Yeah it only seems to happen on the one interesting area worth visiting with lots of comments. Interestingly, the dev page loads very fast. 😝
