  1. Having same issue. I don't understand why setting it to Windows 8 compatibility would fix anything; my pc is Windows 10.
  2. Nope. If the character I last played is ever not at the top, then I will know someone hacked my account. It is not much of a safeguard, but it that is how I first learned someone had hacked my Netflix back when the app sorted things that way.
  3. I'm stunned that there is an emote for spitting. That isn't something I would have thought to attempt. It is uncouth, but from a roll play perspective, it could give some characters nuance. While I can see how it can be used to harass others, unfortunately, removing the emote simply wouldn't stop harassment. It seems to me that its use in an abusive manner could actually help you to prove an individual is harassing you if that has been a problem for you.
  4. Seriously? That just makes the painful process of accumulating enough of the hard to get coins even harder when I already want so many of the things that I don't have enough coins for. (for context, I was out of game for three years and only rejoined around that last week of last season)
  5. That's good to know. Wasn't even paying attention to the difference between dailies and weeklies, but I just learned that if you get 7 of 7 weeklies completed, you cannot earn any more points from dailies until the week resets. That surprised me.
  6. Sadly my eyesight has "seen" a drastic decline in acuity in the last three to five years due to cataracts and other health problems. Now onet eye is effectively blind and the other extremely myopic. Gonna try to enjoy the parts of the game that I still can do semi decently while I still can.
  7. Forgot about that. Had spent an horrendous amount of time adjusting everything else and had ignored the UI's to both Space and Starfighter simply because I had already discovered years ago before my break from the game that I am not good at those aspects of this game. The reminder is greatly appreciated.
  8. To whomever just allowed me to remain in the game despite how sucky I was, Olivia Branch thanks you very much. Super glad my horrendous skills did not impede your ability to achieve victory. Your Token of Kindness allowed me to complete two levels Galactic Seasons, the last of which included, coincidentally, the Token of Kindness, LOL. Hopefully, it will be a very very VERY long time before Starfighter is required for anything. (I'm not even going to attempt to get thelast couple Conquest achievments for doing it on bomber/striker/scout/etc.
  9. Limited amount of time to see what is written very small on a UI that is as big as I can make it on a 27" FDH 1920x1080 monitor that I have to put my face 6 inches in front of in order to read. Guessing you missed the part where I said I have poor eyesight. Doesn't help that when I needed to do several space missions, I had to adjust the graphics to protanopia, despite not being color blind, in order to read the map labels to find the mission I need. Makes me really miss SWG for how awesome its space missions/pve/pvp were by comparison, where you actually got to learn everything you needed to know before being thrown into combat with experienced pilots. p.s. Did the tutorial, and got to say that that literally did not do enough to prepare for these forced group pvp sessions.
  10. Truly not intentional to play badly in that team portion of the game, but since it is impossible to practice in any form of solo content and the fact I have poor eyesight, and the fact Galactic Seasons is requiring people play it six times... It was really sad that on my last needed attempt at starfighter I would get kicked for not knowing what the heck I need to be doing. It just means I have to go in again under a different character. Just let me get my practice in and I'll be gone before the day is out.
  11. "Inspired by". Yes, there are several outfits/armors that were inspired by those featured in movies and tv series. Funny thing is that they have already placed several armor designs that were inspired by Boba Fett's armor into this game, including a set that can be purchased early on in Kaas City on Dromund Kaas. Problem is that the OP sounds like they want an exact copy of BF's armor. That simply does not make sense given the fact this game takes place thousands of years in the past where the designers of this game (and those of KotOR which inspired this game) decided to try to give it a more primitive-by-comparison feel to the game. It is also possible that there may be legal restrictions (licensing agreements) that bind the developers' hands from placing anything that looks even more like BF's armor, but you might find a work-around by mixing and matching pieces of armor from both mando and non mando armors.
  12. Same problem I have. The only thing that helps, only helps a little bit on my low end laptop. Your pc should have a separate program that may allow you to adjust settings for individual apps. It may not be the brightness that needs adjusting, but rather the contrast needs trial and error to find the correct setting for your system.
  13. In both cases, my file was already set to your suggsted number even though the only thing I adjusted in the .ini file was the gammaramp. This has made indoors and dark caves to be slightly easier on my eyes, but the outdoor/daytime settings is worse.
  14. Very helpful. Thank you. Caused me to go back into the Radeon app to put the Contrast back to its default. Which makes me wonder what the difference is between Gamma and Contrast. I understand Contrast allows me to set the level of distinction between features such as walls and furniture. But what the heck is Gamma, and why doesn't the SWtOR graphics interface have the option to adjust contrast?
  15. After going into my laptop's graphic's app, I found where I can adjust just swtor graphics. Increasing brightness only made it harder on my cataract afflicted eyes. Maxing out the Contrast setting, however, caused an improvement on seeing some of the interior details (often REQUIRED to find objects in the game like the relics in Secrets of the Enclave FP). Unfortunately, that amounts to only about a 5-10% improvement, which is not enough to see the details when trying to find tiny quest/achievement related objects I've never seen before, and that's while viewing on a fairly new large HD monitor.
