  1. Guild Wars 2 is on its way this year. People who need incentives to grind for gear to give them a reason to PVP are beyond hope I think. Just let them run on thier hamster wheels.
  2. Small Scale PVP is a nightmare to balance. Blizzard stated that thier biggest mistake was Arenas and if they could change the past, they would have NEVER implemented arenas in WoW. Ever. 10 classes, 3 talents tress, 41 talent points. Thats a headache of epic proportions. Big designer mistake.
  3. Are you saying that Bioware doesn't have game designers? You know, people who invent game systems and then design them? Game designers don't invent things anymore, they just copy paste the same thing other people are doing. It's a lot easier and doesn't require thinking.
  4. Nope. 10-49 is fast paced, limited CC, all fun, no gear grind PVP. Very few premades are in the 10-49 bracket as well. Queues are instant. In fact there isn't a single thing that is better in lvl 50 than 10-49. Not one.
  5. No. -PVP at lvl 50 is a gear grind of epic proportions. -Gameplay mechanics identical to WoW, nothing new and innovative. -Serious lack of endgame content. -World PVP non-existant or broken beyond repair. -Crafting and crew skill systems uninspiring and dull. -No character customization and gear customization. -Bugs and glitches are very annoying.

    *crickets*

10-49 is where the action is. Everyone I know avoids lvl 50 PVP like the plague.
  7. I find myself logging in a lot less than usual as well. The guild seems to long into raid nights only and some of us play 10-49 pvp. When you look at end game SWTOR its just copy paste from World of Warcraft. I will be very curious to see how long Bioware will be able to hold on to thier subscribers because, I have a feeling that they won't be able to keep me for much longer.
  8. How about a T-Shirt that says... "I've grinded a whole lot and now the numbers are higher so I win yay!"
  9. MMO's reward people who spend more time playing and gives those people the most power in the form of items. Interesting isn't it? It's almost like a vampire sucking the life out of you.
  10. Buying a TV is not an experience. Grinding for gear is an experience. A painful experience. Those who went throught that pain to get the gear also want other people to go through that same pain. The thought of designing a better system to benefit all doesn't matter to them. The only thing that matters is that other people should feel the same pain as they did.
  11. My best guess would be because those that have gotten beaten up to get the gear, would like to return the favor when they get the gear. Its like saying, because I suffer, you should suffer too. I'm sure you've heard the expression "misery loves company"?
  12. Grinders, I like that. I think that's what we should call these people. Grinders. "I grinded a whole lot and now the numbers are higher so I win yay!" Joey the Grinder
  13. I want flashpoints that are so hard that I soon as I walk through the door I'm getting my face eaten and die in 2 seconds! just kidding Yes I would welcome a more challenging version of flashpoints.
  14. Guild Wars 2 is in the polishing stage right now. Its only a few months away. Then we can leave these hamsters chasing purple items forever.
  15. What? That doesn't make any sense! Are you saying I'm supposed to be able to defeat you when you have a gear advantage?
  16. Why do you need gear to beat other people? Do you suck THAT much?
  17. Hi, you must be new here. MMO developers need you to keep chasing +1's and +2's on purple items so that you keep paying the subscription fee. These developers don't understand any other system to keep players interested in playing the game other than that.
  18. You don't need expertise. You could make the PVP gear the exact same as PVE gear. Same models, same stats, same textures. The only challenge that arises for developers is which channel is faster to obtain the gear? This is difficult for them due to the way thier PVP reward system functions in relation to how thier PVE reward system functions. I could write a long report on this but, the fact of the matter is the developers want you to play as long as possible in order for you to keep paying the subscription fee. Chasing gear upgrades is thier most innovative game design system that they can come up with. This design system will be around until most people realize that they're just running on a hamster wheel.
  19. Its actually the opposite buddy. If you're a lvl 50 for 2 years and I'm a lvl 50 for 2 minutes I should be able to smash you. Not because I have better gear than you but, because I'm faster, smarter and better than you.

    Expertise Mods

Hey Bioware, Let crafters create expertise mods and let hard mode flashpoints/OPs drop higher lvl Expertise Mod schematics so that they can be sold on the GTN creating a market. This way people can spend thier credits and customize thier gear for PVE or PVP. I might even enter the lvl 50 bracket with my alts if I can equip them with custom gear that have some expertise.
  21. How did your brain comprehend PVP gear nerf from that statement? For all you know, they might provide base expertise at the player level and reduce expertise on the gear by 50%. Or they might introduce an entire lvl 50 craftable PVP gear set. Or they might add lvl 50 blue PVP gear sets with expertise. I could probably think of 10 more off the top of my head.
  22. Winning is not a reason. Winning is a condition based upon a set of rules in a conflict or contest. Another condition is losing and a tie depending on the rules. So again... why do you play to win? Do you want to prove to others and yourself that you're better than someone else? Because thats a good example of a reason.
  23. You either don't know the answer or don't want to tell me. Which one is it?
  24. They won't. Once they lose a couple of games in a row they will stop participating. They might return after a few days but, if they keep losing consecutively again, they will stop playing permanently. This is the ugly side of the PVP gear grind system.
  25. Ok.. fine. Why? Why do you play to win? Is there a reason?
