  1. which looked horrible and dated WoW or Tor?
  2. if dark fall ever makes a workable user interface it is a very good game as well. i have a rather large group of friends ive played UO (and other games) with from 2-10 years back that feel just like you guys.
  3. I'm quite done with WoW, but it should be one hell of a role model for this game. /signed
  4. lol I hate you. Im not just saying it either, I mean it. = p I honestly thought to much time and money would create something good.
  5. "Why would you leave WoW if you were well established there?" I wanted to see something new. I am bored with WoW. That is why i tried a new game. Obviously i enjoy star wars. Hearing about the time and money spent on this game i made the mistake of thinking it would be a new and exciting MMO. Even if they add extra features that are currently in other games in the next three months or more; will they be new innovative features?. I dont care if wow or rift or eq didnt have raids or battle grounds. I care that swtor does have them and there is nothing inspiring about them. If this game gets new content it will be a revised version of what has already been done and that will not make the game better or make me want to play it more. Just because it is beta (and yes it is still beta) and does not have as much content as other games isnt the problem. The problem is the content it does have and will get is more of the same.
  6. BioWare in my opinion has done well at what they do best. Made a game that was fun to play through once. I hear people boast about how each class has their own story line and if i could only play the class quests id probably play them all, the rest of the content is to repetitive. I did not race to the end of the game so much as i enjoyed it enough to play pretty much non stop to see it through as i do with many RPGs. The nearly 3 weeks i got from the game was worth the 60$ i paid for it, it is not worth resubbing for the exact same content i can have from multiple other vendors that have done it much better.
  7. Just putting it out there. When i ended my sub i had 11 days of free time left. I got one character to 50 with half a set of pvp gear and a couple alts to 30 and a couple 15s. Ive done this all before in WoW and other games that follow Blizzards template (yes i know EQ did it first, remember its been changed drastically since then, just not nearly as much by anyone but Bliz). Im just putting this out there in case anyone comes to the forums looking at what others think of the game. Ive been bored with WoW for years why would i play it again with a different name?
  8. first a foremost a spaceflight system more like SWG. we already have the ships and upgrades now lets get em off the rails and in he cockpits. as it is our space flight in our mmo is single player. i want space pvp. is that broad enough? also, world pvp is a wipe due to factions not having close to the same amount of numbers or it would be at least (the very least) acceptable to keep me intertained for a month or 2. im talking about ilum to be more specific. driving around the central area for 30-45 mins cause theres no rebs to kill is a wash. i dont dare think of what the rebs do for there dailies. id love to tell you a lot of great ideas but as the game was designed on tracks i cant see how to implement them. the worlds are set out in straight lines not open areas. they have built it so even on pvp servers you are not intended to interact with opposite factions except in a few hotspots. and its true im not a dev or producer i realy do not get paid to sit around and brain storm new ****. but in this case the devs didnt even brain storm new ****, they took what was already being done and added a very slight tweek to it. IF YOU COULDNT READ THAT WALL OF TEXT SIMPLY READ BELOW. is it realy so much to ask that the people who are paid to entertain us come up with new and rewarding ways to do so?
  9. pretty much hits the nail on the head.
  10. sand box mmos are great. but your right not everyone lieks them so they are usualy underbudget. look at darkfall for example. best mmo next to UO. unfortunitly it doesnt have a workable user interface to speak and you have to make scripts to do basic things. id accualy be playing DF right now if i wasnt concerned they are going to wipe it all with df2. yes i thnk your right though i am bored with the "wow clone" mmos. i wish someone would make something new and exciting.
  11. title says it all. running heroics is an option. but mostly im doing pvp dailys and the failure that is ilum. anyone know of any fun world pvp hotspots? anything im missing that is new and exciting that hasnt already been done better by other mmos. thanks in advance. P.S. my thought process is if im already established on WoW. why would i start over here for more of the exact same concepts that are even less refined and aggrivatingly buggy?
  12. and it was still easier than finding a group in the actual game all 5 of us were bank sitting bored in. maybe if they had some customer service or end game this game wouldnt fail. or **** some real space flight right? doing exactly what everyone else has done but doing it worse is no way to run a business. grats again EA = p
