  1. Are you fighting tree stumps and statues or something?
  2. Hello fellow Sorcs. I was wondering what kind of stats you guys are running around with. It appears that there is an over abundance of Alacrity and that is very annoying. I am swapping out any Alacrity enhancement piece I have with Surge, Crit and Power. Bonus Force Damage 679 Crit Chance 32% Crit Multiplier 83% Activation Speed 6% I have seen a huge difference in damage output by replacing Alacrity with Surge, Crit and Power. I keep the enhancements just in case they decided to make Alicrity better. Even if I'm replacing a higher level enhancement with a lower level one, Alacrity just sucks.
  3. You can't blame the players. Designers are suppose to design a system that works. If the players don't care about PVP and just want the rewards, then the problem is the system not the player. If you remove the rewards from Illum and it becomes a ghost town then what? You're going to blame the players for not playing? Game designers are generally lazy. Developing new systems is too difficult for them. Might as well just copy everything from World of Warcraft right? Sounds easy enough. No thinking required.

    SWTOR vs GW2

As soon as Guild Wars 2 is released, my guild and I will be dropping SWTOR so fast it's not even funny.
  5. Illum, what a waste. This is the best you got? Is this the result of your combined brain power? Looking for boxes in the snow? I think my 8 year old can come up with an objective a little more innovative than that.
  6. Our playstyles are different indeed. There's only 2 reasons why I would use Deathfield. In PVP, to bring someone out of stealth and in PVE for AOE. Your Deathfield is a big part of your DPS because of Deathmark. Its in your AOE and single target DPS rotation. The mechanics of Deathfield makes it annoying for me to include it in any rotation.
  7. Lightning Storm is just for AOE. My burst potential is crazy. Polarity Shift + Lightning Barrage? Are you kidding me? I just fry them to a crisp in seconds. Instant Whirlwind is amazing. CC on the move. Backlash blinds stealthers who jump me. Operatives have thier opener's literally blocked because of it.
  8. I don't even have Lightning Strike on my bar. That point is for Lightning Storm. My AOE rotation looks like this... Lightning Storm, Chain Lightning, Death Field, Force Lightning until Wrath, then Chain Lightning again then Lightning Storm....ect ect
  9. You sacraficed PVP utility, resource regen, and burst DPS for healing. In PVP, you'll be standing still more often but, might be able to heal through the damage assuming no interruptions. In PVE, your resources might deplete on long fights and will have less DPS.
  10. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201bZdcMMdRr0zZcMcRsMz.1 PVE I've been running around with this build for awhile now and it melts face. Not only does it do high DPS but, I have infinite resources. I can use Chain Lightning and Crushing Darkness on cooldown and my force bar remains full. I have so much resources that healing myself or allies becomes trivial. PVP Operatives and Stealthers get blinded as soon as they attack from me behind and pop my shield. Some of them are so stupid that they use thier PVP trinket to break the blind, then I just go to town on them. The 20 second Force Speed cooldown with the 5 second AOE Overload root plus instant Whirlwind (2 sec stun after it breaks) gives melee a hard time let me tell ya. If I pop my Adrenal + Expertise buff + Relic + Polartiy Shift + Recklessness my Force Lighting just melts people.
  11. I use Ashara exclusively at lvl 50. In order to make her deal massive damage you have to do a couple of things... Gear: Strength, Endurance, Accuracy, Power, Critical Stance: 15% Armor Penetration Abilities: Deactivate these 3...Force Burst, Whirling Force, Blade Ward Those 3 abilities that you deactivate will actually increase her DPS by quite a big amount. The reason why is because first of all, these abilities deal very little damage and they interrupt her from auto attacking. I geared Ashara with blues and purples. She has over 100% accuracy and 23% crit. Her main hand damage is 700 and offhand is over 110. She can solo 3-4 lvl 50's by herself.
  12. You vote with your wallet my friend. It is the only true voice any of us have left.
  13. This game is great and all but, there's a lot of useless items with stats that don't belong together. I wish I could filter these useless items out of existance but, I can't. Healing stats are generally OK on a DPS class. It's the tanking stats that are combined with Healing/DPS stats on the same item that's out of place. Shield and Crit? Shield and Surge? Really? I mean come on, do you guys even play the game you're designing?
  14. The end game gear for PVP and PVE looks beyond terrible. The ugliest gear I have ever seen. The lvl 20 sets look better.
  15. If nothing gets done about PVP warzone balencing, I will be cancelling my subscription as well.
  16. You have teams in there at level 50, decked in artifact gear and expertise playing against level 10's. Need I remind you that a level 10 barely has 5 skills, 0 expertise and 1 talent point. I'm not even going to bother wasting your time arguing that this is unbalanced because you probably know that it is. How did this get past quality assurance? Maybe there is no quality assurance? Who knows... I would like to let you know before hand what's about to happen to the behavior of the community just so that you don't freak out or start scratching your heads in confusion when it does happen. AFK will become rampant. Warzones will be filled with players who fill up slots but don't participate. There's very little you'll be able to do to stop this. If you think that removing all rewards for losing will be the solution to that problem, it'll actually turn out to be the final nail in the coffin. Boy, I thought WoW was unbalance. But wait, here comes SWTOR where NFL professional football teams teams play against highschool football teams. You have a limited amount of time before the community finds AFK behavior a worthwhile investment. Once they do, it'll cause damage to your PVP community beyond repair. That is of coarse, if you even care about PVP at all.
  17. There's an outpost near the middle of the map, Outpost Ghrent. From that outpost, head directly north across the river. You will find a road that inclines higher until you see a shuttle. Yes the quest is bugged and doesn't show you a green triangle. I was looking for it for over an hour.
  18. I've been playing WoW since 2004 and I can tell you that SWTOR doesn't come close to the smoothness of gameplay that WoW has. SWTOR has a high production quality, however, there is a very annoying delay in ability activation at times which is a big problem for PVP. In addition, the manual (point and click) targeting system in WoW is far more accurate than SWTOR. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the strict camera functionality and targeting system in SWTOR. These are issues that can be resolved in future patches so I'm not worried. The ability activation delay however, will make or break this game for me. My performance in PVP is negatively affected. My character simply does not respond accuratley to my input commands.
  19. I can play the healer role without being a healer spec. In terms of efficiency however, a dual spec would allow me to be a more effective healer and provide me with the tools to carry a group of inexperienced players while patching up thier mistakes. Dual specs provides far more benefits to MMO's than you can think of. The real problem is the Tank/Healer/DPS trinity design model. Since Bioware was too lazy to design a more efficient system, the community has to deal with issues such as tank shortage and healer shortage due to thier lack of forsight.
  20. Omg this is painful to read.
  21. I think you guys are confusing the meaning of the words you're using in your arguements. It is a statistical fact that thinkers and problem solvers are a minority over the instant gratification crowd. Don't believe me? Look around and find out how many people are drowning in credit card debt. What is a credit card? Instant gratification. Some people like challenges and solving problems but, believe me when I say this, if you think you fall into this category, you are the minority. Or else we'd have engineers, scientists and doctors all over the place. The toddler arguement isn't a good example. Why? Because babies are born as a natural scientist. As the brain develops, parental conditioning is what will shape your child's behaviors. If you want your child to value effort and hard work, he will be a problem solver and a thinker as they grow. If you keep telling your child they're beautiful and smart despite thier failures, the child will respond negatively to hard problems and gravitate more towards instant gratification. A video game doesn't have to be hard. It just has to be fun. But, remember, fun is subjective. The instant gratification crowd will be content with a virtual amusement park. The problem solvers and thinkers, despite being a minority, NEED a challenge because that is what is fun for them. In the end, Bioware will design a game that makes them as much money as possible. The money is in the demographics. A company that doesn't study thier audience carefully is doomed to failure.
  22. There's this awesome MMO that I play everday, its called OUTSIDE. Here are some features. -Billions of characters to interact with -Massive world to explore -Fully PVP -Highest resolution graphics
