  1. This is my impression also. AFAIK they didn't touch anything but the cutscenes, but it could well be that a bug has reared it's ugly head, and some changes has bled into the normal game world when they are not supposed to.
  2. Thing about that is, not everyone play those kind of events, as few of them are relevant to the overall story, and are seen as side quests at best. Now planetary quest lines are more connected to the main story, and as such could need a little more here and there for sure, but at what cost? I would not want them set the main storyline on the backburner to get more planetary missions, which is likely what would happen, as they are limited on dev time and resources, and can't do both. As for the entire LotS story, yes it's been focused on the Mandalorians for sure, and that is understandable given how popular The Mandalorian TV show was/is. But the story has been progressing slowly, and we've heard nothing about what Malgus is really up to, and I bet it will be some time before we get to know more, given that Shae is AWOL, and we proably have to find/rescue her, and that's most likely what the next story update is about. And maybe more about Sa'har. So better pacing would be better, but what can you do as a dev studio with limited devs and resources?
  3. Nice. Good on you for this. It's just too bad that it took so many complaining about this. Why it was removed in the first place I would really like to know. It's not like you would loose anything from running the unlock sale. I would think it's the opposite in fact, as some have been saving their CC's for the end of year collection unlock sale, and get an armor set and maybe some weapons, and use the sale to unlock it in collections. Others stated they would buy CC's to unlock even more, so it just seems like a weird choice...
  4. Good. Hopefully this will change, which it should. Sometimes I really wonder what goes on in the minds of developers/publishers, and would really like to be the fly on the wall during such meetings. That no one even said that this would be a monumentally bad idea, is beyond me. Now we see what the result of the devs "offer" led them.
  5. How very dissapointing. Was so looking forward to collection unlock discount to unlock some armor and weapons I've bought. Now that is gone, which is a huge let down. Not liking this new thing you're trying. I want to get what I want to buy, not what you want us to buy. Please rethink this, as it's a bad idea all around, and not in the spirit of the holidays.
  6. The game does turn off the running buff at certain times in the game story. Why this happens I do not know, but the solution is easy. Go under your abilities and turn it back on again. It's a weird thing to be happening for sure, and I'm almost certain that this is not intended, and may well be a bug.
  7. They have to do updates now before the holidays starts and the devs go on vacation. And update days will allways hit some ones prime time, or days they have available to play on. It's unfortunate, but at same time it's something that needs doing.
  8. I did enjoy it. Both Rep and Imp sides were different, apart from the start before you go to Ord Mantell. Good to see the plot moving foreward, as it seemed to be a bit stuck with the whole Mandalorian story. Now I wonder what Malgus is really up to, been some time since we've had any mention of him.
  9. Agreed. The price of the dyes is very high, and at those prices I would also want it to be legacy wide, or atleast unloackable in collections. From the pics they've shown, the specular dyes looks fantastic, and I had some ideas for new chars using that shiny new armor they used in the pics. Now I'm not so sure I will, with the price of that armor and the weapon to go along with it and the very high prices for the specular dyes. Please devs, throw us a bone here, either lower the prices on the specular dyes, or make them unloackable in collections. It's the holidays season after all.
  10. Agreed. Wanted to take my lvl 80 consular through the new story, only to get roadblocked with the first clicky in Oradam. The others was smooth sailing, but Oradam had atleast 20-30 players standing there with no hope to progress, since everyone clicks so fast that no one will get anywhere fast. Tried to get into another instance, but that was a no go, as it said it was depopulating. Gave up an tried the Imperial side, which was much better designed, and the clickies there respawned fast, so no troubles there. No idea why they thought clickies in a general area was a good idea. News flash devs, it will never be a good idea, I thought you had learned that from previous clickies in the open world. Guess not...
  11. I did read it, so your presumption were wrong my friend. I meant that sometimes things change even between the latest PTS build, and the live build. But no gonna argue.
  12. I am chill, just wondering where the ptach notes are. Guess you're right. And I never rely on what's on the PTS, as things can change from the latest build there, to what actually goes live.
  13. Well said my friend, well said. It just seems like such a strange choice by the devs to rely on hypercrates for sales, when direct sales are much more appreciated, as you know exactly what you're getting. Thought they had learned that long time ago with the CM armor and weapons direct sales, and even older sets still seems to sell occasionally from what I see on reddit. Players like to know what they are getting for their IRL cash, but with a loot box you can try a 100 times and never get what you want, and I have long since stopped buying hypercrates. Might be the odd one here and there, but that's far and few between, and only when I have enough CC saved up from subscription.
  14. Chromatic dyes has been a request for some time now, and it was even more so after seeing Captain Phasma's armor. Or Din Djarin's for that matter. To introduce it for sale in the CM, only to remove it and place it in hypercrates seems like a hit below the belt. They could have a high price on the CM instead of try your luck boxes, and it would still sell on a regular basis. I just wonder what makes them the most cash, hypercrates or direct sales...
  15. It's true that the hypercrates are there for those willing to play roulette, but what about those that do not want to partake in it, like at all? Only option is to pay extortion prices on the GTN, or break open your IRL wallet and get them while you can, before they are pushed into hypercrates... And who knows how long it will take before the new shiny dyes comes in a flash sale, or if they will be made available in the CM after the Force knows how long? I really hope it's time exclusive to hypercrates, and later on available in the CM.
  16. This is a good question. I would have thought it better to sell them on the CM as regular dye packs are now, and make a steady income from them rather than putting them in hypercrates, which has low odds of getting the ones you want. Not everyone buys hypercrates, and I know with 100% certainty that they will go for stupid ammounts on the GTN as a result. I really hope you will reconsider this move devs, as it's a really bad one. Just stick them permanently on the GTN, and be done with it, and you will get happy space barbie players.
  17. Noticed this. I've wanted to buy some single packs, but they are nowhere to be found. It's been a while since I last saw them available on the CM, and can't seem to remember any info that they were going away. Seems weird to just stop selling them with no warning. Any info on this @JackieKo @EricMusco?
  18. Yeah, pretty much what @Spikanor said. This is a "new" server, and they want to see how the economy works out with no super rich people posting mega high on the GTN. They can use this to see how a good economy can work, and maybe use that to help control the hyper inflation on the other servers. Maybe.
  19. Sad truth is that most laptops have pretty bad GPU's with the exception of really high end ones, but they cost an arm and a leg and the shirt of your back. I have an older Samsung laptop, which does have a dedicated GPU, one of the few I could find at a reasonable price at that time. It's able to run SWTOR, but not without the game settings on medium/low, and it gets really hot, so I can't play on that laptop for more than ~45 minutes at a time, even with the setting as low as they are, and still looking somewhat ok. I do have a gaming rig that's much better suited for well, games, and it runs SWTOR with no trouble on high settings. I know that you want to game on your laptop, but if you have the funds, you are much better of with a stationary gaming rig, and you can get some decent ones for reasonable prices, depending on where you live.
  20. ^This. I got the message aswell, and wondered what it meant, until it clicked that all it is, is that the launcher fails to get or maybe connect to the server/database that is needed to show the missing content/pictures. Speaking of pictures, the one showing the Ahsoka inspired set and lightsabers looks a bit low in resolution. It almost looks a bit out of focus, which I find weird with it being a new set and all, when other pics of new sets have looked really nice.
  21. It's good to finally hear something from the BS boss, even if it didn't go into much details other than confirming they will continue past 7.4. which is good news. That said, I'm with OP in saying that taking the wait and see stance is the best option for now, until we get something more tangible to work with as it were..
  22. Agreed. Those small class missions on Rishi was very nice. Would love to see Master Orgus again. Or Lord Kallig. Been too long since we saw anything from them, and I feel like it was a missed opportunity to not have them appear in KotFe/Et.
