Yes sure extend please. Gives me more time playing FIFA, Rift, WoW, Uncharted, Final Fantasy... Has been great not playing this game. Sorry, but I hate these things. So well done... I'm having a blast not playing SWToR... At last some fun for a change. Keep it up Bioware, way to go.

I guess it means I can log on again... Or not. Hate these things so I haven't played since it started. I am kinda hoping when I do log back the whole thing will be finished and I can carry on where I was. If they extend the thing or keep some of it I'll just carry on doing other stuff. I have to say the other stuff has been more fun anyway, so the whole event probably drove me away from the game finally. I only come here to see if there is word of the thing ending.

You can fool some of the people some of the time but you will never fool all of the people all of the time. Time will show just the state of this game, but for those that are use to MMOs and like heavy crowds of players this game looks very empty. Whether that empty status is as the game was intended matters not. Players that sense the game as empty will go play something else. And sadly, the initial storyline which is good will not sustain players if they can't be seen in game with loads of other players. So issues of whether a server is really active or not is irelevant. What matters are the views of other players. And no 'talking the game up' on the forums is going to change matters. I have tried very hard to like this game.. but after a while you feel very alone and it gets to you and you just want to log and play something else. That's the nature of the MMO.

Haven't logged into the game since it started. I do really hate this type of crap idea.... I'll come back when we get the all clear I guess. If I can drag myself to play the game anymore that is. Time away certainly lets me focus on other fun things to do. Thats the way it goes I guess.

Thanks for the notification of the plague. Having played through this kind of thing before in Warcraft I guess I can find other things to do in the meantime. I'll come back in, what 2 or 3 weeks time. I'll check out the forums so do keep posting. I seriously do hate this kind of thing cus in truth what I have to put up with is a silly game of childish tag... Have fun while it lasts. Yet just another reason to stop playing... I have to say its getting easier and easier.

I really don't know what the issue is with EA and games... I mean I can get 22 together and play in the comfort that there are many more watching my efforts. This afternoon I stuffed Chelsea 6-1 in a cup match and can't wait for my next Premiership game.... Sorry.. I quit here... Went back to Rift and now I'm back with EA but playing FIFA. I just gotta have fun when I'm not working.

Blizzard don't need to cus they have a very successful game and know their player base will stay through thick and thin cus in truth the game is created and managed by people that generally know their stuff. The image I have of these guys here is that they sat in their ivory tower shielding themselves from the world of MMOs arrogantly believing their product was always going to be superior to others on the market. And yet within hours of launching anything they have to withdraw as the players destroy the thing. So yeh... well done on the extra day, not that that's going to make a blind bit of difference to 'real' MMO player's view of things.... You will be pleased that with the next patch they are going to let everyone have a pair of rose tinted glasses, just so folk like you won't need to keep using your own. .... Sorry gotta go. Footy.

I guess the test is in the doing.. And seriously I have way better things to play right now. I don't need thirty more days to try and convince me of that. This game has had quite enough of my time as it is, and I aint even going to give it the time its going to take to rebuild all my talent trees. Boring is boring in what ever package you bag it up in.

I was fine with my trees. I built them sensibly and had them working as intended. I work at my gaming. And I DIDN'T GET A CHOICE. And now I have to try and remember what talent worked how and when and on five characters. Not very helpful.... But then you see this patch was of no use what so ever to anyone playing under Level 50.

That was sarcastic.. right ? PS 30 days of a crap game still equates to a crap game. So who is the idiot in that scenario.

I have five characters and they are all pretty well advanced. Logged to find all my talent trees reset. Well thanks for that... Like as if I can remember how I built them. Never mind... probably the final straw as they say. Logged out... I seriously just got fed up of it all. PS Before you go waffling on about... playing MMOs for a long time, should get use to it, how else can this be done etc etc.... Well yes I have been playing a long time but such things should be the last resort. This wasn't an expansion and for characters at my level I got ZIP, nothing, zero from this patch. It has provided nothing... except my trees reset. And so maybe, just maybe a toggle button that shows your trees as they were before. My bad as they say for not screenshotting the trees. But with everything else that is crap about this game, it was enough to stop me playing. I just asked a GM for help finding an easy way to get the trees set up the way I had them.. but hey, I know what the answer is going to be. PS What are those symbols over players heads that I see now. Maybe they were always there.

Mine appears to be working OK and she has her hat on. Trouble I find now, but maybe I just didn't notice it before is the sound is coming from the direction of the companion. Some may say thats realistic, to me it just sounds like one of my earphones is busted. And now I notice it, it has become really annoying.

Phew .. Good thing they don't employ the best programmers then cus we would really be stuffed.

The good news is that 1.8 is coming soon.. But not here.

That about sums it up. They should have called it the 'endgame patch' .. everyone else just ignore. Not even worth downloading the patch was it. Made me realise that this game is going to turn out just the same as all the others. At least I learned before I invested six months in it. And so I'm off now before the drudge starts.

NO ! Nothing changed. All that happened is that my spec trees got reset. And across four character... under 50 I now have to work all that out again. So the stupidity of such matters carries into this game as well. The stuff added is no doubt for post 50s, and I don't play post 50. So hey have a blast. And I had to download a massive patch, just to have my talent tree reset. WoW.. impressive. Pointless. Not without tangible stuff that makes the game fun for everyone that plays.... I'm already playing something else.

The Jedi Dress Designer .... cus I am guessing the theme could then be a character that fights brilliantly but doesn't look like a monk. A class built around style and exquisite taste and a love of great looking threads. I mean the character would stand out a mile amongst all the brown sack cloth.

Have you thought that it might have something to do with players now knowing what gear to expect, what companion to expect, what story to expect. I have to say that having tried them all I tend to like the Sentinel though I guess Guardian would follow the same plot. There really are only four options for me character wise , forgetting the differing factions, as I don't play Empire. And now it boils down to what the character progress and the fun that levelling is... and the Sage and the Smuggler have terrible companions and I wouldn't play trooper cus eventually you die in a sea of armor. I want to see my character... Using two sabers isn't a real issue and this gives you plenty of options in terms of just how you want to customise the character. In the end the Sentinel is DPS and in this game is not healing, out of combat and what did you say... using computers. Didn't understand that but then I'm knew to Star Wars. A Sentinel is no Rogue or Paladin or Warrior in truth... Just pure Melee DPS is what I find. In the end the Jedi Knight is the true Star Wars hero and I guess most coming to the game know that character best. And if you have to rerun the game again and again its probably the easiest to replay.. Well thats how I feel anyway. Sage would be my choice if I could get rid of that bloody Lizard. Next companion is a healer which is a bit puzzling. I'm playing Sentinel with my companion melee DPS which is potty as I should use the tank but I really can't understand droid chat. They need to let us customise these companions and choose them like in STO, plus the gear and then you may see other combinations coming through. The game kinda fails at end game so levelling is what folk do I guess. Not sure about PvP as I don't play it.

It's new... New stuff. New character. New places to go. New things to do. New gear to look at. New story. New quests. New weapons. All looks pretty new. And I'll play till I either get bored or something new comes out. But at the moment it still feels new to me.

Never seen a Benz with bamboo wheels.... But then maybe they are converting the vehicles so the big fat kiddy pandas can get a ride to Kindergarten. PS Don't tell me you're still hooked into that kiddy stuff are you. Its obvious Blizzard have dumped the game and want serious MMO players to move onto other products. Its aimed at the Asian market now.... I think there are kinda clues in the style of the new Super Mario stylie Nintendoesque bubblegum Pandamonium twaddle. Give me a break. And as to comparing... Why compare a game like SWToR with stagnant crap like WoW. Been there done that.. and well sick of the thing. Well have been since Catastrophic was released. Complete with snotty noses and silly rockets.. So funny. Well would be if I hadn't invested so much time into something just to get crapped on by Pandas. I mean come'on could Blizzard be any more blunt about sticking their fingers up at their dedicated player base. They couldn't give a crap. They found the kids wanted sweets and so they are laughing all the way to the bank. Just give em sickly silly kiddy stuff to do all day and they will keep banging away for sweets. ... No comparison. Thank goodness.

Having done one Jedi Dark and another Light I gotta say I hated the Dark so much in terms of the brutal decision making, which wasn't clever, it was as I say just brutal, and probably runs against everything I have ever played in a game.... I just started over as Light and feel much better. Added to the fact my Dark got the decimel point bug and now stands at something like 3009.10097867773 Dark. The GM says they know about it but won't be fixing soon and after all it is only 'Cosmetic'. So I thought if thats the case why bother. I will go back to that Dark Jedi which is on 25 and level the other half Light and see if I can get back to zero to square the maths. Thing that got me the most was having to kill that poor girl who just had her mother die. I mean come on guys what kind of people do you think we are... Rewards for murder. Very good.. er NOT.

Its not just the hoods but the tails as well. I mean seriously, can't the Jedi Knight actually look like something other than a monk. I get the old stereotypes but in this game it just goes way too far. I just spent like an age going though all the gear you can get and whilst I may be able to wear some medium without a hood if I want to swap strength for cunning, so having to wear smugglers stuff, I still have the bloody curtain tails. I mean the image you have of the Jedi in the opening shot shows you splendid in your armor encrusted gear. But guess what... WE SEE OUR CHARACTERS FROM THE BACK... all the time. And with the movement characteristics of the char its nice to see all the body, legs, arms movement when in action. Plus it would be nice to see something of what we are wearing. For me I would either add wardrobe slots like in Rift or let us hide hoods and tails... or those drapes and curtains that all Jedi wear. ...... Feel like I'm at a Druid get-together every time I see a Jedi in game. I shall wear my Synth Vest till the bitter end I guess. Level 15 gear... Cool or what. But at least I can see my characters body when running and the head and hair etc. I mean what is the point of character customisation at the start. They don't mention in the guide that it really is unimportant cus you will be draped in a sack for most of the times. And one last thing.. Can you please change the animation of the Jedi running with weapons out. I have seriously never seen anything more silly... I am like hitting the z key like mad every time I am out of combat to avoid it. Feels like I am playing an old Atari platform game.. The old vampire stance. The characters can appear quite liquid but the animation guys have created potato sacks with fleurescent tubes sticking out of them. Come on guys.. I'm trying to save the galaxy here... Not good.

Amazing that so many that pre-occupy themselves with wanting to have loads of other players around them in a game.. choose to sit in a bedroom most likely on their own... for like hours and hours on end. Personally I like to game to get away from people. And I find that 1 to 50 in this game is a pain if there is even one other player doing what I am doing. So I thank the creator that the areas are structured with as few players as possible... Anyway gotta go... real people need me.

Why am I kinda pleased I don't understand any of this. Whooooosh !! Gaming just got even sillier.
