  1. http://imgur.com/QlA0i Gotta love their script "defenders" posting their "support" http://i.imgur.com/36GUY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/A8rtk.png http://i.imgur.com/LWTEI.png http://i.imgur.com/OMnni.png I particularly like all the "supporters" from North Korea. http://i.imgur.com/Vr1J3.png http://i.imgur.com/SoP1d.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mYUiC.png http://i.imgur.com/MRGXR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VKDjn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RgO1A.png http://i.imgur.com/Kqnpc.jpg http://i.imgur.com/TMVZS.png http://i.imgur.com/nKBGz.png http://i.imgur.com/3l7KP.png
  2. In LoL, tanks serve as the combat initiators, and by virtue of the fast paced combat take a large brunt of the damage in the initial volley (putting the opposing teams skills on cool down). Furthermore, once the team fight was underway they still had their skill set crafted with the purpose of making the tank a character who warranted the enemy teams attention. CC = death in LoL. Most characters have some form of CC, but usually not to the degree that tanks have. Slows, roots, stuns, and silences are all staples of a tanks resevoire of skills. In TOR this simply isn't the case because every class has butt loads of CC. In fact, Guardians are pretty low on the CC tier. In Guild Wars, your basic DPS warrior WAS the PvP tank. Naturally beefy with high survivability, heavy armor actually did mean something whereas in TOR the damage mitigation difference between heavy andedi armor is minimal. I can't really speak much about WoW because I didn't spend a whole lot of time pvping in that game but overall I felt like even purely tank specd warriors could dish out respectable damage, atleast more than some DPS/utility classes and still had good survivability. Warriors, STRONG and durable. TOR must have forgot the "strong" part? TOR really needs to take a longer look at those who succeeded before them. I really like LoLs approach but I think it might be a little late for that since that kind of role balance takes vision, which Bioware lacked from the start. Look at Guardian, their design philosophy with that class is all kinds of screwed up. The GW approach is still possible though I believe.
  3. First off, there needs to be medium/heavy variants of social armor. Obviously it's intended so that you can actually use the armor otherwise it would not be orange (moddable). The problem, however, is that the only ones who can really make use of the armor are Jedi Consular and Sith Inquisitors. Simple request, and the solution shouldn't be so tough to implement. Just have vendors sell the same skins with heavy and medium typing. Secondly, with 1.2 augmented slots are going to be "standard". I propose that you allow the armor to be reverse engineered for the schematic. When crafted the armor would still be Bind On Pickup but you'd have a chance to "crit craft" the armor with Augment slots.
  4. Before launch: Check it out, SWTOR will have this amazing Legacy system that will blow all other games away! At launch: Legacy is coming guys! It will blow any other MMOs AWAY! 4 months after launch: Soon guys! Legacy will kick so much ***! 4.5 months after launch: Finally, some legacy stuff! Most of it is coming later but oh my god, Legacy! So awesome! Best game ever 10/10!
  5. http://dulfy.net/2012/03/15/swtor-overall-advanced-class-distribution/ Guardian and Juggernaut are the 4th least played class on both factions whereas Sentinel are the most played class on the (lol)Republic. First off, "Sentinel" were for the most part non-combatants and focused on stuff like stealth, medicine, and computer. But disregarding all that arbitrary title mumbo jumbo, dual wielding lightsabers is supposed to be a rare sight. Just seems weird that single saber is so iconic yet seems relatively uncommon compared to the other options in this game. Could it be that the Giardian DPS is so lackluster or the fact that Guardian is advertised as a tank class without much mention of its DPS capabilities from the start? I'm just speaking from a pure aesthetic / lore stand point. It just looks weird seeing so many lightsaber dual wielders. They should still exist but imo all jedi/sith classes should have incentive to going single lightsaber and dual wielding should have a niche but relevant role. That or they could just make Guardian DpS more appealing and market it as such.
  6. How do you feel about it? http://dulfy.net/2012/03/15/swtor-overall-advanced-class-distribution/
  7. Ahahahahaha Oh you were serious? Yeah, I guess it is a bit more believable to be able to take a light saber to the face while wearing robes as opposed to a strippers outfit. Also, why not get rid of he ability to chat with each other? I mean it breaks immersion because everything else is voice acted!
  8. This makes no sense. Obviously they want people to use them otherwise they wouldn't be customize able in the first place, but seeing as most classes don't even use light armor there is little reason to even get the armor because most the time (when you're actually playing) you won't be showing off the aesthetics anyways. Are social armies just another feature that was half assed into the game due to pushing the game out the window or is there a reason why non-light armor classes shouldn't be able to use them?
  9. First off, you max out light/dark waaay too quickly. Chances are your Allignment will be maxed out on one side by the time you complete your story but I guess that isn't such a big deal seeing as how there are like no rewards for having a maxed out a allignment late game. You can buy....... Relics that are outclassed by even centurian relics, boots and gloves but no chest to match and no augment slots (soon to be a big deal), an unempressive vehicle, and uh.... A mini pet? Just curious to see how many of you actually like the current system.
  10. A major update that adds stuff that should have been here from the start? I know it's hard to understand when your parents pay for your subscription fee but if you pay $60 up front and $15 every subsequent month, it's ok to expect a complete game.
  11. The Pro-Server Only LFG group seem to base their argument on only one thing: zOMG IT'LL DESHTROY TEH COMMUNITAHS To this response I must impose another question: Who the hell cares? Because it's certainly not the majority that does. X-Server LFG was almost unanimously praised when it came out in WoW. There won't be a community to destroy soon enough if people who play on a half empty server have to always choose between rerolling another character and bringing him back to level 50 on a more populated server (A LOT of peopledo not like this idea, and who could blame them. You become attached to your character because you sink so much time in building him up) or rarely or maybe even never be able to experience things like HM Flashpoints or Ops. Stop being afraid to live in the moment. I mean, I'll give you an example. There was this one, a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Needless to say things didn't end well for him. HOWEVER, we must take into consideration what our lord and only hope, Luke Skywalker, would do if he were here. His will is my command. My opinion means nothing next to his, so please enlighten me.
  12. I think this just about sums up my opinion on the script of this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tjk3XVN2ut4
  13. How many of you could not see yourself playing this game post-1.2 if no significant new content (such as new OPs, Flashpoints, and WZs), nor dungeon finder and dual spec, nor server mergers/transgers, are implemented until after the first expansion (roughly estimated at being released a year from now)? IE, is Dungeon Finder and Dual Spec make-or-break for you in the long run?
