Rotation as follows: Stim boost while in stealth (esp if you have 6 piece Tacticians)>Volatile>Veiled>Backstab>Lacerate spam Rinse and repeat. Veiled is a short cooldown so you can usually get two more in before Volatile is off cooldown for the combo to be repeated. VERY IMPORTANT: if you pvp, you ALWAYS want to make sure your Volatile is used BEFORE backstab if you're taking the Jarring Strikes talent. That way your backstab will root the target and interrupt them since Volatile Substance being popped allows your next backstab to be used like you were in stealth. To your original question - as long as you Veiled strike after Volatile Substance, you dont have to wait for it to pop. If you don't have Veiled strike up then it will still require a poison/use of backstab which is counterproductive and a big loss of dps since it won't guarantee a backstab crit if you do it the "old" way.

You can't fully min/max in WoW since everything is time-gated and RNG. The VERY best you could do is a weekly PvE chest/weekly PvP chest/Mythic Raiding. If you were by some reason the luckiest player alive, you'd get 4 BIS pieces a week (which would never happen b/c again - your chests and drops are completely RNG). But then you have to grind artifact power to level your neck. Also time-gated. And then there's armor specific traits that have to be randomly found/at max level. And finally, by some chance you get all the above, let's now throw in random titanforging on all your gear except head/chest/legs. And nothing is account wide so you get to do this for EVERY alt. I'm sorry OP but you have no idea what a "grind" truly means.

They dont make most of their money from subs, they make it from the Cartel Market. And bump on this thread, the lag on abilities is pathetic and the fact BW will hotfix crashing when entering a menu but won't hotfix something that effects everybody doing anything is unreal.

You could always roll one and see how easy it is...??? I guarantee you'll see the difference in the skill cap between a person who is new to the class versus somebody like myself or friend that's been playing the class since double hidden strike was a thing.

The fact you even think this game still has a developing team is funny. How many people do you think ACTUALLY create fresh content for this game besides Cartel re-hashes? The last of the major updates probably came with 5.0, you'll be lucky to get any new content before 2019, and if it does come, it's probably old ideas they scrapped from long ago that was already partially/nearly completed but cut from other xpacs. Accept this game for what it is: a decent story-driven, single player RPG with lightsabers. Expect much more and you'll just be driven mad by what could have been.

The almighty regstar. If you're playing them and taking them seriously, I'm sorry. Better luck next go around when EA gives the Star Wars licensing to somebody with a clue (I hope), or at least a developer that won't use a **** engine like this one that can't even cope with 16 players in a WZ without it crapping out. It's regs Who cares?

I like pretty much all you said but this sticks out tremendously. In the US, I can finally start coming out of my basement because the frozen tundra of the Midwest winter is losing it's grasp and spring is near . This means some much needed sunlight for my pasty, pale skin and generally much longer days and shorter nights. You may see an influx of kids/young adults logging on more often come Summer break, but if you're an adult with a life or a family, Spring and Summer will definitely cause me and probably others to not be playing as often.

TL;DR

Anything that has to do with OwPvP in this game is dead. If that's what you're looking for, the devs have pretty much already laid any doubts to rest what their main focus is and will continue to be.
