  1. I think they only start talking via livechat if you've sent in a humongous bunch of tickets. Agreed that if it's not an urgent immediate problem then there should not be livechat about it. Yesterday had an appropriate livechat regarding a quest item that would not drop for me after my same-class guildie had finished that portion of the quest. (He has 99% winning rolls on everything, loot, conversations, EVERYTHING - so of course he got his quest items first. Halfway through every quest we simply tell him to stop rolling so others can have a chance to get anything.) I ended up solving the problem by kicking the guildie from the party, when the items started dropping again. Despite that he'd finished that portion, he was still winning every "roll" for the quest items. Since it was a class quest, they would have had to reset it for me somehow if I hadn't come up with the solution. Now I just hope it did actually get sent in as a bug report after the conversation. I've never had them simply talk to tell me that they read the ticket, that's awful.
  2. Yea I don't understand the gear divide. I mean, if you're in a dungeon, why should you care that the guy next to you got his gear in pvp as long as he can pull his weight in the raid? If you're going into a match of pvp, wouldn't you want your team to live long enough to maybe conquer an objective even if they got their gear from doing pve? People whine when it's easier to gear up for pve through doing pvp or vice versa. Well, pvp isn't that easy compared to most scripted encounters, so maybe the rewards should be commensurate. And a noob in pvp is gonna need every advantage they can get so if raid gear helps out then why not? To separate the two systems is more divisive of the community than anything else. On the other hand, you need different abilities in pvp than vs boss fights, because it's a different type of fight. It's when you want bragging rights over your TEAMMATES that this artificially created divide is a problem. Because we should all be thankful when our teammates are geared and ready for the encounter, not selfishly mad because they got their gear in a different venue. Making pvp and pve gear different just puts up barriers to entry to the other part of the game. TLDR: Who cares how your teammates got their gear as long as they got your back in the fight? C'mon. This is your team here.
  3. Full name: Kryth'ana'nuruodo Core name: Thanan Short name: Ana Known as: Baroness Kaalika, having taken the name of a Demoness from a childhood tale when she became a Bounty Hunter.
  4. I do have a Guardian and I think it's silly I can leap from the platform (the one up from acid pool but below first platform from spawn) alllll the way to the goal zone without walking through two fires as long as an enemy is in a freshly respawned state. Sure it takes having an enemy to leap to, but the sheer range of it is silly overpowered. That should be just slightly out of range and force me to at least commit to dropping down before leaping to the goal zone.
  5. In pvp, most dps classes are forced to stack accuracy, which ignores armor. That heavy armor you think you have? You don't have it.
  6. Commando healing is simply not designed for pvp. Everything we do can be interrupted aside from bacta, and we have no way to get away from melee. Without dual spec, there's no point even playing one in pvp if you need to be a healer for pve for your guild. On my server I usually get focused by 3-5 people the entire match. As a healer, I got 1 medal per match (2.5k heal) since 1.2 dropped. Before that I got usually 7-8. I'm not saying I'm the best ever, but I am saying that my fun shouldn't be dependent on the other team being morons. I switched to dps and in same gear now getting 5-6 medals per match. Sure I've done well in some matches after the patch, when the enemies are completely clueless. It's not fun to win only because the other team is simply bad. Look. They know it's not fun like this, so obviously they intend the game to not be fun. *Shrug* Skill should be more important than gear and class. But that's now how Bioware wants the game to be. So respec to dps, have a pet tank follow you around on a leash every match, or quit. Those are our options.

    Healing and PVP

Agreed. Really lost trust in Bioware over these design flaws. I mean, they can't possibly think it's fun to not even get one spell off before you die?
  8. In case the necro comes up again, as of 1.2 commando/merc is a sitting duck in wz against any enemy with half a brain cell or more. Sage/Sorc or Scoundrel/Op both seem still good and depend on your preferred playstyle. I'd say the stealth advantage of the latter helps a lot, but the bubble from the former is amazing.
  9. /agree with OP. Also the check box to never do Novare "simulation" or at least shut the droid up!
  10. Just remove the option for character creation and have all possible headbands be moddable crafted headgear for Twi'leks only!
  11. Would love to but already have 8. Plus my commando is the only character that has achievements and titles the other characters can't ever get.
  12. I love my Naga. Try settling with 5 as the "main" number you rest on, and use your thumb's joint to hit 12 instead of actually moving your thumb hunting for it. Once you're used to resting at 5 then it's easy to find the corners for 1 and 3 and everything else falls into place. The only prob with the Naga is those silly extra buttons next to the left-click. VERY awkward! Could put silly things like mount or inventory on them I guess.
  13. Pick a class that has a lot of instant abilities, not so much cast time stuff. Or a stealthie so you can learn the lay of the land. Don't take a healing class in for your first time at pvp! That way you will have a chance to do some damage while learning instead of being stunlocked to death over and over. Find people who love to pvp but aren't jerks to newbies and run with them! RP servers often oddly have a great pvp crowd who just aren't into the trash talking and attitude of the PVP server crowd. Read the Bikini Sage's Guide and understand the overall strategy of the warzones in this game. That way you can at least contribute to the objectives even if your kill count isn't the best evar.
  14. I love my character, she's the only one with certain achievements and titles and without advanced class respec she's a useless waste of a slot. Try finding that out at 50 after you've poured heart and soul into developing the character.
  15. Has this been surveyed? I suspect there's an awful lot of nobodies. The other day, pre-50 wz, my team just rolled over everything. I was bored the whole game and didn't even feel like I did anything. Sure, did tons of damage and protection but there was no FIGHT. It was a resounding meh.
  16. 1. Kite! - Can't kite, rooted. 2. Kite more! - Can't kite, force choked. 3. More kiting! - Whoa what's this, rooted again? Now if there was one MORE kite in these steps then maybe, but at that point you're already dead. Unless you're facing baddies who don't root or stun or interrupt or force choke or leap... lol.
  17. Yea I was whining. I've done pretty much nothing but pvp in this game and can't go to GW2 so am very annoyed at the direction Bioware's taken to remove the fun by making the same drastic class changes that drove me from Rift because I didn't want to play 4 new soul trees every 2 months or be useless.
  18. Suffering builds character you know. (Whiny is still character, yes?) You should simply melt as a fresh 50 no matter how much pvp you did before 50 because none of it matters now the stakes are "REAL" and it's gotta be PAINFUL to be real right? It's not like you're the Hero of the Galaxy or anything! (Wait...!) Everyone into serious pvp is leaving for GW2 anyway, so Bioware can gut the fun of it however much they want and only Star Wars fans will suffer, not the real pvpers. The SWTOR experience isn't about playing how you want to play, being the ****** Hero of the Galaxy and having fun. It's about experiencing "gritty" fake drama, over-the-top fake shocks in the name of story, and extreme poverty next to extreme wealth, that we all get enough of in real life or we wouldn't need to play games to get away from that. We all want to be the ******, but only hackers can be that in this game. Or in real life. ---------------------- Long I know but that's why you can't buy your BM gear before 50. They want it to be awful.
  19. What server are you on I want to roll there and enjoy playing a healer who can simply use my stun to kite away from the roots, snares, interrupts, stuns, and 2-5+ people focus firing me at all times! Oh wait a sage has what, 3 stuns and a slow?
  20. Nope. I go into wz right at level 10 because I love it. Even better now I don't have to wait for Sprint! Only sucks going against level 49 premades as a level 10, but usually there's a better mix than that. Level 50 is only fast to gear if you're 1. not a healer without a tank, or 2. have a geared guild premade helping you get the gear. So it's not fun. I wish they'd remove expertise and take away the brackets, tweak bolster so it really works. Would be so much fun.
  21. Merc/Commando doesn't have the tools either. Leap + stun, interrupt, stun, dead. The most you can do is target someone else and try to get your instant heal off on them before you die so you have a chance to do ONE thing per death. Or try to cc them and hope their cc break is on timer. Usually I have anywhere from 2-5 people leap on me in any wz tho. If I try to heal around corners that doesn't work too well either and the sneakies come hunting instead of the leapers. Only got 3 BM pieces before 1.2 hit, so I stopped playing. Gear is king and healing is nothing. Don't have a pet tank to queue up with, all pugs who just want to get as high damage numbers as they can and don't care if you heal them or not because they'll still get 20+ medals while you die repeatedly and might manage 1 for the 2.5k if you're lucky on an instant. My server's puggers are pretty selfish, I don't see the good people on anymore. Pug tanks take guard off me when they realize I can't heal anything while stunned and they're taking the damage from 2-5 all at once. Not like a Sage who can at least throw down an AOE and contribute SOMETHING. But a healer shouldn't have to depend on pugs to help them stay alive, they should be the ones helping everyone stay alive. You are the tank in pvp, because you get allllllllllllllllllllllllllll the aggro. If you're getting any high healing numbers on a Merc/Commando, you're playing against people who don't have a clue.
