  1. Give us a few minutes! Should be going live shortly.
  2. Hi folks, I'm here to give a quick update to this issue. It's not much, but we actually do not have any new information to share with you at this time. Should that change, I'll be more than happy to update this thread! Thanks for your patience and thank you for supporting the game! As I mentioned in the email to Uluain, we really do appreciate your discussions on here and we are definitely keeping tabs. MTFBWY
  3. Because you've activated both a DDE and a CE, you will get both rewards! For those of you unaware, we have updated our Free-to-Play rewards program to include owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition.
  4. Hi folks, as an update to this, we have confirmed that this is indeed a bug and we are working on getting a resolution to this as soon as possible. Thank you!
  5. Hi folks, we're currently investigating this and we'll update when we have more information! Thank you for your patience.
  6. This is correct. This is a change made exactly for the preparation of server mergers.
  7. Bingo. This position was created for someone to assist in analyzing monetization trends AFTER we transition over to our Free-to-Play model. They will analyze & monitor transactions (among other things) and well, you can't really do that until after we go live with the new model. Rest assured that we already have a dedicated team in-house working on preparing for the transition. This person will obviously support that team.
  8. While we appreciate all kinds of constructive feedback, as Allison pointed out, the forums are only one small measure of communication. Do keep in mind that while some days it seems that there isn't any forum activity from us, we're busy hopping around, taking a look at the SWTOR subreddit, Twitter, Facebook, and responding to PMs. Consider that our fanbase is large and spread across various social media sites, and you can see that we strive to make sure that they are covered, no matter where our fans are. We're also working on some new community blogs that we'll be posting in the upcoming week or so, in addition to our standard weekly blogs that we already put up. Finally, while this team is highly visible, a lot of what we do is internal: responding to developer requests for feedback, moderating the forums, writing patch notes, working with localization, sending various documents & ideas for approvals, working with marketing, maintaining relationships with fan sites & guilds, attending game development meetings, escalating issues, following up on bugs, and much, much more. In short, measuring the number of gold posts every day is not the best indicator of our overall activity. You're welcome to continue to do so, but know that every day we are working with our developers to respond to your questions here on the forums, which results in about 5-10 developer responses even during a light news week. If anything, measure against what we had before we started our increase in communication on August 8th. I guarantee that you will see a difference. Stay tuned for the new blogs, which we'll be debuting starting tomorrow. As always, thanks for taking an interest in this. Constructive feedback is always welcome and we'll definitely adjust our strategies when there is a need .
  9. Hello! This is part of a general topic regarding Miralukas and headslot items, and you can find our latest response to this here. Essentially, we are aware of this and discussions are currently underway between artists and developers as to what the next step will be.
  10. Hello! So I spoke to Principle Lead Systems Designer Damion Schubert about this, and he feels that with some of the Legacy rebalancing that has occurred recently, he definitely agrees that there is a need for more rewards for players with Legacy levels 25 and higher. The team hasn't made any decisions yet, but it is something that they are exploring.
  11. Hi folks, I spoke briefly with Sr. Designer Austin Peckenpaugh and he wanted you all to know that this is something that we are aware of and that we're investigating potential solutions for the future.
  12. Wir führen derzeit einen schnellen Server-Neustart durch für den Server Jar'Kai Sword. Wir bitten die Unannehmlichkeiten zu entschuldigen und werden diesen Thread aktualisieren, sobald wir neue Informationen haben.
  13. Hi folks, I wanted to take a bit of time to explain the reasoning behind the weapon selection on the vendor. As you know, each SWTOR event that we do is unique and this also applies to the variety of items offered. That is, if you don’t find anything that you think is useful during this event, you may find a different assortment of items in the next one. Your feedback is definitely appreciated and we’ll look into different ways to improve our item selection in the future. Thanks for participating!
Bonne chance!
  16. Update: Remember, the Shady Dealer will be leaving tonight at 2AM CDT (12AM PDT/3AM EDT/8 AM BST/9AM CEST/5PM AEST)! The Chevin Conglomerate has decreed that you will have until next Tuesday (August 21st) at 2AM CDT (12AM PDT/3AM EDT/8 AM BST/9AM CEST/5PM AEST) to finish up the Grand Acquisitions Race. They've also decreed that the Shady Dealer will remain for an additional week after the race ends, citing "feedback" as the primary reason. Good luck!
  17. Edited: Due to feedback from the previous event, the items are actually on a global unlock. I've fixed the writing below to reflect this. Also fixed some other wording. Hi folks, We wanted to inform you all that there is currently an issue with the missions A Lead, A New Lead, and Another Lead. The way the Chevin Event works is that players can find the first six items of the mission The Grand Acquisitions Race whenever at their leisure. The next three items will unlock on a daily basis for everyone, regardless of what step players are on in the main event quest. (item #7 unlocks today, item #8 tomorrow, and item #9 unlocks on Friday). Players are currently running into an issue that when they complete the mission, A Lead (item #7), the UI marks Another Lead (item #9) as complete with no item given to the player. DO NOT WORRY. These three missions are merely hints. You DO NOT need this mission to appear in your Mission Log in order to activate it. It will unlock on a daily basis as I outlined earlier. To be clear, you can STILL play these missions even if they are marked as complete. You just have to wait for their specific daily unlock. For your convenience, I have posted the text for each mission below: A Lead (Item #7 - Akar Kesh Meditation mask): A Sniffer droid is available to aid you in your search for the Akar Kesh Meditation mask, but is still undergoing programming. [unlocks today] A New Lead (Item #8 - Black-and-Orange Sphere): Sapaaga the Hutt is refusing to speak to anyone at this time. Check back with the Hutt observation droid at the Lower Promenade on Nar Shaddaa later, when the Hutt's string of losses may have made him more inclined to negotiate. [unlocks tomorrow] Another Lead (Item #9 - Plasma-Sealed Jar): A Republic Slicing Droid is tapping into the Transportation Network Terminal in Shadowtown in Nar Shaddaa to locate information leading the Plasma-Sealed Jar. [unlocks Friday]
  18. edited a line for clarity: Hi there! If you ever get frustrated and delete a bonus mission during the Grand Acquisitions Race's main mission, the easiest way to get it back is to reset the main mission for this event. It will look like your items have disappeared, but you will get them back as soon as you reset the mission. You'll still retain all of your previous items and you will only lose the progress that you've made towards the current item that you're pursuing. Hope that helps!
  19. For #1: Thanks for this, I've pinged some folks to see what's going on there and will update as soon as I hear back. #2: Here is thelatest from Matt Boudreaux, one of our gameplay programmers. OK! We started on Friday by posting the beginning of more consistent developer responses (via Allison Berryman). Let us know what you think. You should start seeing improvements as of Friday. No biting! We just had a bit of a walkabout as we found our grounding again. During this time, we spent time thinking about community strategy as things settled here. The Known Issues are meant to be high visibility issues that affect a large number of players. You can assume that all of the Known Issues are being worked on if they've made it onto the list. I'm not saying that yours is a bad idea, it'd just be a bit redundant since all of them would be "currently being worked on". 1. Everything in the Known Issues list that is removed should have a corresponding patch note when it is fixed. Occasionally, we have missed a few when the patches went live, but we've historically added the patch note when this is discovered. We're working on improving this with every deployment. 2. I should have been a bit more clear here. There is an internal document (used by us on the Community team) that is used in ADDITION to company bug tracking software. Our entire bug tracking system is not an excel spreadsheet (trust me). 3. Thank you very much for this. Yes, this is constructive and thorough. I will make sure that this is investigated and looked into. Sorry you feel that way. I'm hoping our actions will speak louder than words and win you over eventually. That's two politician mentions back to back. Look, we're trying something different and the changes will be gradual (starting with more frequent dev reponses) in the upcoming weeks. I hope that you give us a chance to prove ourselves. Rest assured, I aim to deliver. Not too much slack, to be sure. In order to have any sort of dialogue, there needs to be two sides to anything. Yes, there has been a lot of skepticism here, but there have also been signs of trust. I welcome constructive dialogue, as it only helps to push us forward. If I wasn't consistently challenged, then there would be little motivation to do better. Thank you all for your feedback, and for your words. They mean a lot. The public changes started last Friday. We heard your feedback about the weekly Q&A so we decided to morph into a more dynamic model. Developers will now be responding more frequently to questions on the forums (which you can follow on Dev Tracker). Most often, Allison will be posting on their behalf. In the upcoming weeks, you'll see more community projects that we think that you'll enjoy. Internally, the community team has specialized and there are more interactions with the developers (hence the increase in communication). Stay tuned for more.
  20. Hey folks! Just wanted to let you know that there will be no maintenance tomorrow. Enjoy the game!
  21. Hi there obi-joachim! This is definitely a good idea that I have, in fact, looked at. We actually DO do something similar whenever we have a Game Update, except that our content is spread out across several weeks. This would be the equivalent (with links to the specific blogs). With more regular updates coming to the game, you can expect to see something like that more often. Thanks again for the suggestion!
  22. Of course our team uses internal metrics! Community feedback just is just one part of the process.
  23. All right! Big list of responses today. I'll do my best here. Ok Blisst_uNF, in order: 1. Yep. This is definitely something we can do. The problem sometimes is finding a thread to post in. We'll do our best going forward. 2. Most important news and updates can be seen on either http://www.swtor.com/info/news and http://www.swtor.com/blog. These two sites should cover most major information. Additionally, I try to push this as much as possible, but the Dev Tracker is also a powerful tool. We use the official SWTOR Twitter and FB accounts as an additional outlet for news that already appears on our main site. Relevant discussions can happen anywhere, and it will be a difficult process to keep track of and reproduce them in one centralized place. I'll try to see what we can do, but this will be difficult to do. 3. This is actually in the works. Keep an eye out for these interactions in the near future. 4. We do do this internally. Amber has a daily list that she escalates up to the responsible development teams. In the future, we can work on finding and updating threads more consistently to let players know that we're either aware, investigating, or coming up with a solution. We'll definitely be working closer with devs to make sure that these sort of interactions continue. We've heard your feedback regarding the Q&A and we think that we've come up with a better solution, such as increasing daily developer interactions and publishing THOSE responses on a weekly basis. Will do! Thanks for this! We just recently finished up our last round of class feedback (we posted stickies in each class forum on the perception for each class). This feedback has been taken back to the designers, who are now digesting all of it. Your feedback will definitely contribute to their decisions in the future. Additionally, we will be requesting MORE feedback soon, so keep an eye on the class forums for that. This document is already managed internally and maintained by us. Keeping track of every single bug reported is no easy task, to be sure. It'd be unrealistic to have this document publicly, but we DO make sure to address major bugs and issues with the Known Issues thread (maintained by Amber). Thank you for this. We are currently aware of this issue and it was escalated internally. Yes, but feel free to reach out to the rest of the team as well. They don't bite. For the most part.
  24. Folks, I wanted to follow up a bit regarding Celebrations. We do apologize for any inconvenience but our dev team is hard at work on the game, and we just couldn’t spare the staff. We just completed Comic-Con and are preparing to attend Gamescom in Germany next week. Stay tuned for updates about future events.
