  1. I must have read the question wrong I thought that the answer was pretty straightforward, but I can see your POV. Glad to have helped. As for tone: no no, not at all. Tone is hard to convey over the internet sometimes. Of course, folks can ask questions here on our forums. I meant to say that for me, personally, it's easier to answer questions that I can see easily. Granted, even then, I won't realistically be able to answer every single question that comes my way
  2. I personally do not have new information for you at this time. However, I'd recommending checking our Q&A archive, as some of your questions seem to have already been addressed. I'll also check with our devs to see if we have an update.
  3. Simply put, I am not going to post a reply to every tweet I get on here, much in the same way that I won't publish every email or PM that I get on here. If you have a question, feel free to ask me directly. I'll do my best to respond. The forums are a large place and even though I will do my best, I can't answer everything. To answer your other concern, this was a reply on Twitter from today. Yes, they are still here with us.
  4. I actually answered this recently over on Twitter. I'll copy what I responded with: James and Daniel are definitely still part of the BioWare Austin team. Everyone here is working towards our future plans Lars Malcharek is your German community lead and Antonio Moreno (who has been on vacation) is your French community lead They will both be at Gamescom next week! The Community Round-Up will try to include this. Keep in mind that we can only post news from officially recognized outlets and fan sites. If you're interested in becoming an official fan site, please send Eric Musco a PM!
  5. The rumors about my death have been greatly exaggerated. I'm definitely aware that promises mean nothing without anything to back them up. My team and I will be working hard to make sure that we follow through.
  6. Edited to be more specific: To be more specific, we do apologize for any inconvenience but our dev team is hard at work on the game, and we just couldn’t spare the staff. We just completed Comic-Con and are preparing to attend Gamescom in Germany next week. Please stay tuned for updates about future events.
  7. Last I checked, our backbones were still in place. The Ops that you mentioned is currently being looked at and will be fixed as soon as we can. We have a specific person on our team (Amber) that escalates these issues as soon as they appear to our development team.
  8. As a community team, we are here to help get answers from developers when they are available. Sometimes, we simply don't have new information or the answers to certain things. The weekly developer Q&A is currently the best place to ask questions related to the development of the game. As I mentioned before, we're going to push for more interactions as part of our new plan.
  9. We're aware that different folks get their game news from different outlets, and we're trying to broaden out to make sure that more people get information. Additionally, one of our goals is to make sure that developers interact more with you folks. Allison and I will be working together to ensure that this happens more often.
  10. I'm aware of my previous post. Circumstances have changed substantially since then and we are now in a position to deliver on the things I have outlined. The list of bugs is currently being looked into and we will update as soon as we have more information. Thank you!
  11. Of course not! This just means that we will be sure to spread out our communication when WE have new information for you. This does not affect fan sites or any interviews conducted
  12. The team is responsible for more than just communicating via Twitter and our forum posts are somewhat dependent on new information being available. As mentioned in my post, more frequent updates means that more information will become available for us to post about. Courtney's great weekly Community Round-Up blog has also been a good source of community information during these past few months.
  13. Hi everyone, For those of you that don’t know, I’m Joveth Gonzalez, Community Manager for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. As most of you know, over the past few months, our team, our studio, and our game have undergone quite a few changes. Through it all, we’ve remained committed to the community and have worked with the development team to make sure that your voices were heard. I wanted to take some time to reassure you all that my team, the community team, is still committed to you folks. As part of this commitment, we’re excited to let you know that we have been developing a brand new strategy for our team that focuses on developing new ways to bring you more information about the game and the people involved with SWTOR's development. As we progress towards the recently announced Free-to-Play experience, you can expect more frequent updates to the game (which means more information coming to you) and more developer interactions. The Star Wars: The Old Republic community is large and spread across many outlets, but rest assured that our team is scouring the forums, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, fan sites, and anywhere that SWTOR is being discussed to make sure that we get your thoughts, comments, questions, and general feedback. Know that we are listening you, no matter where you choose to participate in the SWTOR community. In the upcoming weeks, you’ll be seeing elements of our new community strategy as they appear on our site. One of our primary goals with this is to ensure that new information about the game is communicated as quickly and effectively as possible. Last but not least, I will be re-introducing the rest of community team along with this new strategy. You may have already seen them here on the forums or on the website, but you will learn more about Allison Berryman, Eric Musco, Courtney Woods, Amber Green, Lars Malcharek, and Antonio Moreno. We're all excited about the future of this game and with the new focus on more frequent content updates and the introduction of the Free-to-Play experience, you can expect more communication opportunities overall. If you have any questions, thoughts, or ideas, please feel free to send us an email at community@swtor.com. You can also send me a PM here on the forums or reach me on Twitter @joveth. These are three different ways for you to get in touch. We will limit important announcements to only occur on our site, forums, our Facebook page, and/or the official SWTOR Twitter account. Thank you, sincerely, for participating and being a part of our community over the past few months. We look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
  14. Just wanted to clarify that the exact phrasing I used was "we are currently working on something for Digital Deluxe players".
  15. Hi folks, I just wanted to drop in to let you know that, thanks to all of your feedback, we are currently working on something for Digital Deluxe players. We're not quite ready to say what exactly, but know that this is definitely happening. Thanks again!
  16. We haven't announced the official amount for after we launch the free-to-play experience, but I can assure you that subscribers will be rewarded monthly.
  17. Our plan is to include significantly all of the currently available mission content between levels 1-50 for free players. We remain committed to the idea that free players should be able to play the game significantly from 1 to 50 and should be able to enjoy the entirety of their core class arc, and the vast majority of the high quality Bioware mission content along the way.
  18. Hi folks, that goal is still very much in place. However, there have been recent changes to our team that have affected these initial plans that I laid out back in May, making them a bit more difficult to accomplish. I will have more to say about our future plans shortly, though. I appreciate your patience and know that good changes are still coming down the pipeline in regards to communication.
  21. Hello everyone. Customer Support is currently experiencing an issue that could cause a delay in responding to players via email. This will not prevent players from filing tickets in-game, via email, or http://www.swtor.com/support, but ticket responses may take longer than normal. Additionally, due to technical issues, Customer Support is unable to assist with all phone transactions. Thank you for your patience.
  22. Hi folks, Just wanted to hop on here to let you all know that at no point will we be deleting your characters later this summer when we automatically move any remaining characters from origin servers onto designated destination servers. More details about how this will work out will be forthcoming, but I can assure you that automatic character deletion is not going to happen for this upcoming move. Thanks everyone!
  23. Update: Servers are back up! The following servers will remain in maintenance. There is currently no ETA on when they will come back up, but we will let you know as soon as they become available. Zez-Kai Ell Elysium Thendys Noori Sedyn Kyne Master Dorak Crevasse City Colonel Tobin Rwookrrorro Telos Restoration Project Nathema The Deadweight Firaxan Shark Eidolon Security Gardens of Talla ICE Breaker Fort Garnik The Razor The Defenestrator Assassins of Sion Axial Park Hanharr Thank you
  24. Hi folks, As promised, we've been monitoring the state of populations on the remaining European RP-PvP servers (Lord Calypho, Jen’jidai, Huntmaster) since we’ve allowed for transfers to PvP destination servers. Based on current populations on these three servers, we are now going to open up an additional RP-PVE destination server for the remaining population. The following options will be available for these three servers: Lord Calypho ----> Tomb of Freedon Nadd (PvP) ----> The Progenitor (RP-PvE) Jen'jidai ----> Jar'Kai Sword (PvP) ----> Vanjervalis Chain (RP-PvE) Huntmaster ----> Darth Nihilus (PvP) ----> Battle Meditation (RP-PvE) If you have already transferred to a PvP destination from one of these three RP-PvP servers and would like to, instead, transfer to the newly offered RP-PvE destination server, please contact Customer Service and they’ll be more than happy to work with you on this process. Thank you for your patience on this, and we hope that all of you enjoy your new destination servers, wherever that may be.
  25. The server has now been restored. Thank you for your patience!
