lol yeah, just goes to show ppl replying to old threads without reading previous posts. this thread basically got nuked after (sacked) Stephen Reid said 'we will be looking into this issue' then after they looked into the issue they turned round and said 'tough, deal with it, they arnt changing ever so like it or lump it' (well...words to that effect) and this kiddies could be one of the reasons the vast majority of EU servers are constantly at 'light' but EA/BW cant/wont change it, everytime its resurected some americans feel the need to post here saying 'tough, deal with it' etc etc etc leave it die, just like the majority of servers are

this ^ in the last huge maint thread which Stephen Reid responded to saying 'we are looking into it' then we got a 'tough, deal with it' response from BW/EA...THEN to add insult to injury they even took down the EU servers only one night after a maint. they are capable of doing split maints, they just chose not to also those that keep quoting GMT/BST, its only the UK & I think Portugal that use GMT/BST, every other country in EU is +1 - +4 GMT so what may be 6am GMT start is 10am for some EU countries, add to that extended maints (which there has been a few) most EU's get hit into prime as well, all the while the NA players are sleeping/just waking when they finish yes, Aussies get the raw end of the deal, worse than we in the EU, especially considering these days its been 2x maints per week still, amuses me to no end the amount of NA players complaining when 90% of maints are done when they are sleeping and they had the gall to tell us EU's to stop whining/being self-entitled cry-babies etc etc etc quick edit: also forgot to mention this is a 24/7/365 game as are all MMO's so anyone saying about 'work times at EA/BW' are obviously living under a rock, 24/7 service requires 24/7 staffing, if a server breaks at 8pm PST do you really think they wont fix it until they turn up for work the next day, CS may not be working but you can guarentee they have a tech team working 24/7

stupid question, but is anyone else having major issues with the 'new' style forum? using firefox 3.6.16 with plugins flashblock, ABP+ & noscript running and I start to read a thread (not just skip to the last page and respond unlike a fair amount seem to do) the pages start to get condensed to 3 replies or even a page of nothing with the footer at the top and the thread title merged into the header, never had this problem at all on the 'old' forum suggestions please (and taking off plugins or using IE is not an option, i prefer to have 'safe sex' and not want to pick up every STD someone wants to imbed into flash/scripts)

ok....re-read the updated sticky and realise one thing I need to learn to read will check my account after its been applied to see if they've changed the billing date from May to June 19/20th some mod needs to nuke this thread now as I cant read and need to purchase some new glasses

that makes 0 sense seeing as i have paid for this month (we pay in advance, not in arrears) and everyone will have different billing dates due to when they subscribed

somewhat confused here, I had the e-mail stating I would be getting the 30-days free yet have been billed and paid on the 19/4 and the next billing date is 19/5 for same amount. before anyone asks, I have 2x 50 1x 47 and 3 others 35 and under and am also legacy 25 and have paid monthly since early access so when exactly are we getting this free month??

looks ok, my biggest issue is in reading the forums, dont know if its a firefox issue or what but when i go to the next page in a thread, it either puts the page footer on the top / doesnt show any posts / shows what seems like 50% of the posts again, could be a firefox issue or one of the plugins (ABP/flashblock/no-script) causing it, but i aint removing them or using IE so will just deal with it

seriously....im usually in agreement with some of the complaints on here but this just is plain stupidity... they didnt have to give us anything, if you ever played FFXI, you would be bald and suffering with stress after every one of thier major updates if you wanted some kind of compensation for thier downtimes to fix the patch to fix the patch that fixed the patch of the patch that repaired the previous patches patch be grateful and stop whining

thing is, how many players TOTAL do you really think cared about rwz's compared to how many cared about the lack of endgame PvE content, you'll probably find the rwz-carers are just a small percentage of 'kids' that care about 'i iz l33t awesome wtfbbqomgroflcopter!!!1!1111'

nice speculation there...nice shame i dont give a rats arse about rwz's or any PvP at all but still got 30 days free on my EU PvE server

just incase anymore EU players think its US only, got my e-mail with the 30 free days and I live in Wales that said, personally i find it disgusting that BW havent added everyone that subscribed from day 1 up to the recent bout of free trials (and thats continuous subscriptions, not the re-subscribed after leaving in Jan/feb waiting for 1.2). this should be open to everyone thats stuck with the game since release, through all the bugs/US-friendly maints/lack of legacy on purchase etc etc etc man up BW/EA and give it to all that have supported you since release

all i see the family-tree is good for, is enabling you to mail every name thats listed in the tree and that is good enough for me. that said still trying to find the legacy OR cash things after just using human as a base knowing that everyone was related that arnt just some emote, can only find legacy AND (lots) credits

just killed him as a 32 heal-spec and died twice due to the stupid 'you cannot see that target' crap....once i got him to chase kaliyo off his platform and CC/LOS his mega-spells he was quite simple...annoying and killable but takes some thought....his opening whirlwind can be annoying but just use the kiting/threat clear when he's chasing you once kaliyo is able to attack again and rinse/repeat they really do need to fix the target bug on this though

my PC isnt the best, game plays nicely but loading planets takes forever also...ALWAYS stops loading about a 1/4 of the way for a long hang til the music plays then loads fine....damn music, really wish there was an option to turn off loading music, game might load faster for everyone then

saying what quest it is might be a good start so anyone can give you some options that you havent tried yet... paying RL cash for in game items would probably get you banned so that isnt an option either list server/character you're on....there may be players on there in here that could offer to assist if its a class quest, try asking in that forum

you beat me to the FFXI reply lol like was said by previous poster...the vast majority of FFXI customizing was done via 3rd party tools and switching .dat files and s/e were pretty hard on anyone they found using these for automated actions (skill-up scripts for eg.) you could have added FFXI in the LFG group though because you could always search across zones for anyone flagged to party (also were able to list what type of group you were looking for and have detailed comments in the search box as well)

thats the point I was making, you're making 50k overnight on the IMP GTN, but i bet if you rolled a REP alt the GTN would be a graveyard merge GTN's, it will only make the game better

unsure what its like on other servers, but on my server (Sith'ari) the IMP GTN is pretty well stocked on most things but the REP GTN is a wasteland BW need to merge the GTN's and just have one both factions can freely buy from, FLEET not the hutt GTN's cos who really uses those except players moving stuff from imp to rep alts which will also die once we can send to legacy could well be the reason for server imbalance....everyone goes IMP cos they know the GTN has stuff they can sell/purchase, which inturn would create a dead economy on REP

or just scrap the factions altogether and allow all to group up and just leave the PvP to 'light' & 'dark' side yes sounds crazy and stupid. but whats the point of having light/dark unless they expand on it

one thing I always did notice with FFXI was after a maint we had 3-4 weeks of emergency maints to fix whatever the maint broke

been married since '94 and i've been gaming all that time (console/PC/MMO's) and wife has never complained (much....she gets slightly peeved when i play CS or TF2 and 'insult' the majority of players ) because me playing lets her hog the TV and watch all her CSI's & phone-to-save-this-untalented-idiot program. we will sit and watch the occassional program together - sons of anarchy atm, but mostly im on the PC, shes on the TV....17 years without a major row (im 43 shes 52) just a matter of finding a sweet balance between each other and not upsetting that once you have it.... anyway...if she complains just tell her to get in the kitchen and make you a bacon sarnie if that gets you in trouble, great, women ignore you then and gives you more time to play without the moaning
