  1. It would be a lot of fun if we could "respec" our class mission to the start. Not for rewards or experience or anything, but just..because I'd like to go back and do it in one straight shot. The only way I'd prefer it working like a respec would be so the game wouldn't get all confused if you made conflicting choices Also, if you've completed a mission and you're playing with a friend who hasn't, he should be able to share it with you, giving you a "shared" version of it with reduced(if any) rewards. And another thing I would LOVE to see this game adopt would be the "sidekicking" system from the cryptic games(buff/debuff on your stats so you match the level of someone you're grouped with)
  2. Not to my knowledge. I only even know of one gas mask that an inquisitor can wear(the taris one) and it blocks out the hood. I was SO annoyed when I discovered that. (that's the balmorra resistance mask, by the way)
  3. I'm pretty happy with my current look. Without the mask.. And with.
  4. probably the ONLY reason I don't go lightning spec is I hate lightning strike. Star Wars lightning is not meant to be charged up and shot in a bolt, it has to be channeled! Lightning Strike doesn't make you feel like a Sith, it makes you feel like a lightning wizard.
  5. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GZfZfMcRsrkrcz.2 is the build I use. I realize most people would see my ignoring of exsanguinate as a mistake, but all it really offers in pvp is convenience. In burning someone down quickly, the extra 2% crit is more useful; I jus thave. I often can't decide if I want Electric Induction or Convection.. I like the boost to crushing darkness, but I hate running out of force. I'd like to use parasitism, and it sounds good on paper..but any time I've tried using it, the healing has been negligible(in pvp, anyway)
  6. "L2P" translates to "Enjoy repeatedly leaping into a meat-grinder until you've got full battlemaster or war hero. Also, you have to have the correct spec, avoid any variation."
  7. "If they stop charging people for this game, so it not only increases in population, but doesn't cost me money..I'm going to unsub." Uhm.. What? Going F2P is no longer a death sentence. Just look at STO/Champs/Team Fortress 2
  8. It could just be that I'm still in the 10-49 bracket, but I play a mostly-shield tech PT, and the only people who can ever give me any real trouble in a 1v1 are marauders. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hRMrdzroMZMcrzo.1 is my current spec, and I'm working up to http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hRMrdzrRMZMcrzoZb.1 (haven't decided if I'm going to add the 6% shield chance or 9% aim yet)
  9. Yeah, if I could choose one thing to have them add it would be the massive ship siege. Normally I"m VERY hesitant of new classes, but since everything is mirrored, I suppose it couldn't do much harm.
  10. I was hoping people's responses would have something to do with my creative ideas, not technical suggestions. I do not wish to have this be another in the long list of "Server Merges!" threads, because I'd like the devs to notice it if it gets enough attention, not just immediately lock it out. I only said anything about it because if they implement anything large-scale, they're going to need large server populations or else the matches will be underpopulated and boring.
  11. Here's just a light brainstorm I had on what could make a fun expansion. Expansion name: War Premise: The "peace" between the empire and republic is officially broken, all-out war comes back. Any player can fly to any planet and go to any zone, no matter the faction; Every planet has both offensive and defensive daily missions. High level NPC patrols(not the invincible instant-kill guards they have now). Space Combat needs a complete overhaul. While it looks pretty, the roller coaster point-and-click needs to go. Make the gameplay more-or-less identical to Starfox 64(or similar games) and have pvp dogfights. You could even go so far as to have multiple people in a single ship, manning some turrets(the pilot only controls the forward guns) Similarly, you could have guild capitol ships with LOTS of people manning lots of guns. You could have guild v guild space battles, capitol ships and fighters. In the capitol ship, if the gun a player is manning is destroyed, they can go through a minigame to repair the gun. Also, you can have boarding parties, flying over to the ship(unless they're shot down on the way) and whoever can capture the enemy ship wins. As much as I hate jumping on bandwagons, to accommodate the large-scale content, server merges or cross-server warzones would be absolutely necessary, as those things would be boring as hell without a lot of participants. That's one of the biggest things this game doesn't have. The only battleground I truly enjoyed in WoW was the alterac valley(early ones) when you'd have a multi-hour massive battle and the only way to win was to have an established chain of command. Also, Kashyyk for some new end-game raids. Wouldn't really make sense to have them drop gear, but they could drop mats to make super-awesome end-game gear (and frankly, in my opinion, equipment should be made entirely by crafters, not gear drops.. but that's an argument I doubt I'd ever be able to win the masses over with) If they were to make these changes to the game (correctly) and advertise it properly, I daresay it could not only have it's second wind, but it would surpass it's wildest dreams of success. (also, I very well may edit the primary post if I change ideas) TL;DR more world pvp, massive pvp space battles, server merges(or cross-server warzones), and Kashyyk end-game. edit: It wouldn't HAVE to be a paid expansion, it was just some ideas I have for future content that I think would be a LOT of fun.
  12. You'd apparently give anything except the week or two it would take to level up a Powertech.
  13. I love the story, the whole "entirely voice-acted" aspect was REALLY enjoyable. I have a pretty powerful machine, so it runs on max settings without issue, and it's quite pretty. Also, the classes are generally pretty neat(I don't quite think they handled the sorcerer correctly. It should have been telekinesis with a splash of lightning) Also, I don't think that the force users should have been healers. There should have been medics and such, but not magic healing(To my knowledge, there was never anything at all like that in the films.) SWTOR is full of what my friend and I call "Wheels-on-luggage" ideas, to where they're so awesome and so simple, it's baffling that nobody else had done it before. Sadly, the flip side of that is there are also tons of things that they should have had but didn't include. My only issues with the game are Balance issues(present in every mmo) and other various nit-picking things. All in all, I think it's a wonderful game, and I plan on playing it for a long time.
  14. You do, of course, realize that they didn't actually buff the commando, they just fixed a bug..
  15. They made it pretty clear when it was ending. First thing I do when any event happens(in any MMO) is I check up on when it's ending.
