  1. Queue for ranked with a team that doesn't quit. Problem solved.
  2. I've started to look a bit at the objective points along with the highest number of deaths. I know the pity vote sounds bad, but in a losing match I actually think the one who keeps trying to help despite dying repeatedly is actually most valuable.
  3. You are confusing effort with time. Effort would mean that you worked hard to earn your gear, but with the current system you just need to spend more time on it.
  4. L2Math... The higher overall stats added from 14 Augments makes the upgrade from 14/14 augmented BM to 14/14 augmented WH less significant than the upgrade from 0/14 augmented BM to 0/14 augmented WH. Using the more realistic numbers that YOU provided, it was 0.86% less significant. That really doesn't mean much overall, but still a difference. You don't just get to ignore the augments... I'll be happy to try and explain it in several other ways if you still don't get it.
  5. Way to use math the wrong way... Try using percentages and you might look like you know what you're talking about. Unaugmented BM>WH... 1500>1600 = 100 point increase... WH is a 6.67% increase (the math goes... 1600/1500-100) Augmented BM>WH... 1752>1852 = 100 point increase still, but WH is 5.71% increase (1852/1752-100)
  6. Its been over a month since the last post. Any news from the OP?
  7. If someone has their pvp flag on, you can kill them. It doesn't matter what type of server you are on or how unfair the fight is. If you want to actually read the rules for yourself I broke them down in a post a while ago, look for the link a few pages back.
  8. I made a very detailed post about my interpretation of the code of conduct regarding player killing and it had some good discussion but ultimately no response from customer service or the dev team. I think the general agreement between everybody in that thread was that anybody flagged for pvp is fair game and if you don't want to get ganked then roll on a pve server and don't flag yourself. You can find that old thread at the link below. It was moved to the customer service section for some silly reason. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=438098
  9. Resolve isn't really the problem, the problem is that most CC breakers are on a 2 min cooldown which can be talented to be a bit lower. Stuns/mez/knockbacks are all on 30-60 second cooldowns and most players have several forms of each. That means you can get locked down 2-3 times between the 2 minute CC breaker cool down. Roots/slows do not affect resolve which is intended, so they shouldn't be part of this conversation.
  10. If you want to skip part of the grind for an alt, you can buy the bm or wh armor/weapons on your main and then rip the mods and put them in the appropriate legacy gear and mail them to your alt. That way when your alt dings 50 they can have augmented wh armor and weapons, so you can use the saved up comms to buy the bm/wh belt/bracers or implants/earpiece/relics
  11. Legacy gear can be used to transfer bound endgame mods between characters of the same legacy. You can grind BM/WH or the PvE equivalents on your main, pull the mods/armoring, and then put them in legacy gear and send to your Alta so they have end game gear as soon as they ding 50. Think this is an awesome feature.
  12. The easiest solution is to start your own group. In the pug ranked matches that I've participated in, the groups that worry least about gear and composition tend to do best(as long as everyone is in at least mostly BM gear)
  13. If you were playing on a decent team, they wouldn't allow you to get rolled on that fast. If you're getting as much focus as you make it seem like, then you might as well just stay in the spawn.
  14. L2P and let this thread die. Also, nerf operatives.
  15. ^ Same reasoning behind why I vote for most deaths.
