  1. they really should do this. make the game like eve: one server to rule them all (except china). but this is just impossible given latency issues, along with the design of teh planets and quests. there would be a massive, MASSIVE queue, not to get in, but to pick up any quest item. what we need is like 10 fatmans for US/EU, and 1 fat man for oceanic. this would be horrible for the press, but good for the players. so that being said, it'll never happen. they'd rather have the game die then merge.
  2. i support this. my server would be overloaded with these things though. we have to make sure they aren't too OP.
  3. is there a themepark game out there where you have such control? yeah, thought so.
  4. so you want us to comment on your notion that you have no problem with a dead population, because you think the game is :awesome: and can enjoy it solo. what could i possibly say to you that wouldn't be removed by a moderator?
  5. this is a themepark game. you follow the trail set for you. that's all that can be said about your issue. you have to either accept this, or move on.
  6. uh cool i guess. i have the CE edition malgus, and i honestly hid it in a box after a few days. anyone ever seen the 40 year old virgin? that's what a girl thinks when she sees a star wars figurine on your desk. imagine what that girl is going to think when you have a statue, a star wars statue, in your room. nerdherders.
  7. if that was such an easy thing to answer, then why can't they just announce it officially? why this twitter nonsense? bioware needs to reverse engineer their PR. they might proc some purples.
  8. wrong message? to who? the media already crapped on this game, and so did whathisface from EA. what new and unbearable message would mergers bring about?
  9. 1.3 will just be a bunch of legacy bantha poodoo. no ranked warzones? check. anything else that matters? not much. the only hope "1.3" will have is if they introduce server transfers and mergers. i would accept a complete lack of content for these transfers. it won't be the savior, but it would be a pretty nice bandaid. however, knowing bioware, they'll screw server transfers up, and they will have botched their only New Hope. idiots.
  10. even if all of those issues were addressed, none of them will matter if there isn't a population to experience such fixes with. it's a pretty simple concept, but i am not surprised that one of "you people" is trying to argue otherwise.
  11. bioware, you suck. there really is no other alternate interpretation. we have honestly waited long enough. anyone who calls me a crybaby is seriously a confirmed fanboy. there is just no way to think otherwise, unless you are on the fatman.
  12. i'm trying to be patient. i don't even think the game needs much changed! the real problem is population! you can have all the best features ever but it doesn't make a damn bit of a difference when there are 9 imps and 5 pubs in queue, with no more additions for nearly two hours. this was my SWTOR experience last night, standing around on the fleet, waiting for a queue, talking with people about the state of things.
  13. it's like you've appointed yourself to point out all the negative remarks on this forum. only a nerfherder would take up such a cause.
  14. it will be announced for 1.3, and when the bioware accounting team confirms a slight surge in subscription renewal, they'll drop the unfortunate announcement that ranked warzones will have to be delayed again. even still, people on the forums will say how this is a good thing, that we wouldn't want an unpolished product to play (see what i did there?). bioware, YOU ARE BAD.
  15. ilum was broken, but it was still fun from time to time. to see bioware just kill the planet for whatever reason just shows how out of touch and quite simply, how straight up dumb they really are. this analysis of their collective intelligence becomes even more apparent when you consider that the introduction of ranked warzones was supposed to be the filler for this void. it's so bad that it's kind of funny. but then i remember that i actually paid for this game and it becomes less funny.
  16. your post reads like a "deep thoughts with jack handy" skit.
  17. i found a secret area in a voidstar warzone. i don't know how to replicate it, but i found myself teleported behind the doors we were supposed to attack. clearly a bioware admin was trying to show me a secret world, but instead of paying attention, i just planted the bomb.
  18. i can confirm the bad force push. on both my shadow and mercenary, the blast back skill is seemingly random. it's most likely due to latency issues. it's always fun trying to push someone off the rafters in huttball, only to see them go the opposite direction, towards the spawn. not that it matters on my dead server.
  19. not a planet, but i would like the fleet stations of both factions on my server looked at. i think the UI is bugged because it says there are 2 people on it. please fix this, james ohlen.
  20. i won't pay. the fact is, if :bioware: wants me to continue paying to play their stupid game, then they should provide an environment that one actually wants to play in. a desolate expanse of nothing doesn't really fit the bill, and isn't what anyone of us paid for when we preordered the game like idiots. given the fact that it is entirely logical to provide free transfers to save their bad game, i will assume that the server transfers will cost money. you can always relay on ea/bioware to make the most tard decision possible.
  21. naddist rebels is dead. bioware, you are just bad. good job.
  22. lol starcraft. here is a pro-tip: it isn't serious business unless you are in korea.
  23. in the beginning we were incredibly hardcore, rushing to do everything. we had a ton of people online at all hours, and it was fun. now there are maybe 5 on at a time, though people do attend our scheduled raids, and during that time the number reaches maybe enough for a 16 man. however, spots keep filling up, which is nice for new guys, but it really just means that someone left and isn't going to come back. basically, newer people are sort of online, and the older players just log in to raid and then go back to DOTA2 or d3. it's pretty sad.
  24. this guy was funny maybe 10 years ago, or at least it felt that long ago.
  25. i still see sorcs destroy people in warzones. they have a ton of utility, and due to their dot damage, they can cast and stay mobile, using line of sight. if you are getting smashed as described by the OP, well, maybe you should take a look at how some mercs play. positioning is everything.
