  1. 2200 isn't a "top tier player" in WoW. 2800-3000 is top tier. That said, the ranking is your measuring stick, not the gear. Why can't you people get it though your head? And regarding the "qqqqqqqq we don't have 8man premades yet qqqqq" please, have a warm cup of esti effu. If you're really that good your 4-man will be able to carry the other 4 no matter who they are. If not, well then I guess you're not that good, are you? "Elite players", lol.
  2. It can be tough to throw the ball, especially if you're low on health and being crowd controlled. The place you're throwing to also has to be in line of sight it seems. Don't wait til you're 3/4 dead to try and pass, move that thing quickly if possible. This depends on your spec. Spec how you want and use it accordingly. No. The buff puts you on somewhat equal footing with the other players in the match. Don't worry about it too much; once you get to 50 it goes bye-bye. I have no idea. Maybe you look too scary.
  3. Often times I'll cap a node under the sith's nose, or guard a node through a heavy attack, or cc people while someone else is capping, guard a ball carrier, etc. I'm always surprised and happy when I'm voted MVP in a PuG group. When I'm not, I just move on to the next WZ. Many a rose is born to bloom unseen and waste it's petals on the desert sand.
  4. 14 seasons. I like him, and it sucks that teams will use a player and then dump him, but it's a business. And they have a prime opportunity to replace him for another blue-chip QB. They'd be stupid NOT to let him go.
  5. Lighten up dude. His answer was about as cordial as you'll see on the internets.
  6. Brb, I have to go find this vendor and buy all the rare crystals for my companions, my lowbie characters, all their companions, and for all my friends. Thanks for the hot tip!
  7. Ever wonder how the Sith get those big fat bones in their @ss?
  8. Why would you want arenas when you say the classes aren't balanced? This is why no one cares what you think, or would put you in charge of anything besides using a shovel or carrying out garbage. And then you'd be mad because everyone else had the same shovel as you.
  9. I saw one goon in Huttball yesterday afking in a corner. So I took time out of my busy schedule and kicked his face off. He started fighting at about 75% health. If you see an afker, kill them. They get sent to the start zone for 90 seconds and then get booted, no valor, no coms, no WZ wins. If the guy is on your side, announce it in /s chat so the other team can wreck him. Sure, there may be a few that say "leave him there, that way they are at a disadvantage." But there will be someone who wants a free kill and they'll take him out quick. Kill the afkers. It adds to your stats and forces them to interact. Problem solved, until people start using bot programs like they did in WoW.
  10. I'm very athletic. I played basketball in college. Now I shoot free throws 2 times a week. You have downs syndrome. You shoot free throws every day. Sometimes you hit the rim. Usually you miss everything. Who's better?
  11. You are equating yourself to a professional athlete now? How deluded are you? Professional athletes get paid to play. It's a "profession." And in those professions they all get the same gear. Big difference rookie. And I've never seen a guy who really likes cars crying on the forums because someone else ground out (ground out is a euphemism for "going to work, earning money and buying") the same car as them.
  12. Hardcore doesn't mean you're good. Hardcore means you don't have anything else going on in your life and can spend 15 hours a day at your keyboard. Hardcore means you have little of value in your life aside from the character you created. The game is the one place where you can have something that no one else does. It is the one place where others look up to you, and envy you for what you have. And when the devs open it up and allow everyone to have what the hardcores have, they don't feel like unique snowflakes anymore. They are right back to being average, just like they are in the real world. They never seem to learn that in these games, it's not about what you have, it's about making the most of what you got.
  13. OH SNAP! He totally rolled you over and poked you in the keyster on this one OP, and I'm laughing about it. Enjoy getting your butt kicked in that end-game gear.

    Rage quitters

This will supposedly be fixed in 1.2, along with everything else that is wrong with the game. The check is in the mail, keep your shirt on.

  16. I know this is a foreign concept to you, stuff getter, but there are those of us that enjoy competing for the sake of competition. Knowing that the other player(s) have the same gear as we do and beating them in a fair fight. There are fighters and there are stuff getters. I'm a fighter, you're a stuff getter. You wouldn't understand. I fixed it for you.
  17. I don't even try to get medals and I usually get between 10 and 13 a game. I'm a Jedi Guardian. My healer friend struggles to get 5. They are as good as I am and working just as hard to win as I am. There's a problem with the medal system. The change is a good one. The biggest issue with the system is the people playing in it. Are they playing to win or farm valor/comms? It's not the system, it's the people.
  18. Lots of responses. I'm glad that there are others that feel strongly enough about this to voice their opinion as well. Keep them coming, it's the only way to let the devs know how the playerbase feels.
  19. In the interview your lead PvP designer gave he mentioned that there would be new tiers of PvP gear coming out. Tier 1 would be unranked WZs and Tier 2 would be ranked WZs. I'm telling you right now, this is a mistake. I understand the desire for ranked WZs. People like to grind that rank and be #1. That's wonderful. If you want to put that in the game for them more power to you. I have zero problem with you implementing a ranked WZ system. But providing better gear for them is a bad idea. Why? Because what do these players do when their rated WZ groups aren't running? They join unrated warzones with 2-3 of their friends and utterly destroy it because they outgear everyone else. How do I know this? Because I was one of these guys in that other game we won't mention, but you know about it because it is where you're taking the idea from. It's hella fun and makes you feel like a badd@ss. It's not real fun for everyone you out-gear. Ultimately it hurts the game. There's already a disparity between fresh 50's and BM geared PvPers, but at least the fresh 50's know that if they grind hard and hang in there it will all balance out. This will not be the case for them in your new system. No one wants undergeared people in their ranked premades, and after the first month BM gear and even T1 gear will be undergeared unless the stats are the same. I've seen it. Over and over again. Don't make that mistake. Give them titles. Give them mounts. Give them super ultra-cool shiny gear that says "LOOK AT ME I'M A BADD@*** AND MY RANK IS NUMERO UNO BABY!!" Just don't give them gear with better STATS. Keep the competition even for everyone, where if you play better than the other guy you will win, and not have to overcome a gear deficit as well. Think about what you're doing. Think about who is subscribing to your game. And think about who you'll be p*ssing off if you implement this system. Once you start down this path it's hard to go back. Do the right thing here.
  20. OK kid, that's all well and good. But why should ranked WZ players get better gear than those playing non-ranked WZs, especially when they will be facing each other in the non-ranked WZs? Why should they have an unfair advantage?
  21. Some DPS classes want power+surge instead of crit+surge.
