  1. This is what I was replying to : This is my reply : To "transfer all members" of a guild as a unit it'd be complete chaos, they're already looking at doing millions of transfers... to add a bunch of pissed off threads about being forced through the guild transfer to rename all of their characters without any choice at all was my point. I agree
  2. So have 100+ people log in and have to change their names w/o any consent on their part? Even if it was possible.. they would need some kind of permission from the customer to do this kind of action.
  3. You'll all have to transfer to the same server. I don't see why it's such a huge deal tbh. Any guild that isn't dead won't have too hard a time getting their members to coordinate moving to the only available option I wouldn't think. Not to mention if they DID try to do what you're suggesting we probably wouldn't get transfers this year.
  4. Please see my previous post Transfers at the moment are not about correcting your mistakes.
  5. This is the undeniable fire they HAVE to put out. It should have been done months ago and yet 6/12/12 to start it off is sooner than I even expected. I'm not very happy with the overall state of the game either. Things could be way better at this point, they could be worse too. I think baby steps towards something better is about all we're going to see in the near future.
  6. Some people don't understand... that these transfers are for people currently playing on a dead server. You re-rolled? Sorry. You want a different TYPE of server? Sorry. You've got multiple characters on a dead server and you'd like to move? Here's a new one. I have a feeling that even this level of transfers is a tremendous undertaking.. but people seem to expect insta guild transfers, are upset NOW that their Fatman characters won't be able to be consolidated with their old servers characters, or OMG I want to be on a PvP server now... it's not meant to fix deliberate actions done by the player it's meant to stablize the current population. In the future I'm sure doing some of those things may be options for a little $, but as of this moment, they're putting out a very large fire and to expect them to cater to your every transfering desire just isn't realistic.
  7. This article, while it's great they threw us a small bone, still doesn't answer many questions lingering in peoples minds. I'm not so sure I trust Bioware to do this smoothly. We shall see in a week. This process will be gradual and staged over time. Over how much time? How soon will it be before the majority of players will be able to actually utilize the transfer service? 6/12/12 sounds alright (sooner than I expected) but if we're taking baby steps through out the process it's going to still be painful waiting for players to populate my server/see if I can actually even transfer ALL eight of my characters from one server to another (which I'm thinking may not even be possible?) As with a lot of information comming from Bioware... I feel like I've been given a 1,000 piece puzzle with a dozen pieces missing. I'll wait, and I'll determine if my sub should be reactivated in a week or two. In the free month we were "gifted" I've spent serveral hours each night on a dead server. I won't pay a penny more to continue to do so.
  8. ^ This. I don't care what's slated for the future anymore unless it's directly related to the issues above. Way to give us not a whole lot when the ships *********** sinking. Give me more details about transfers, super servers, whatever the hell you think the solution is to the population problem you helped create at the very least. Nothing else matters anymore. When I can't log into my server after work and get a PvP queue for hours. I don't see the point in continuing my sub. I'm paying for server access to other people at the very minimum if you can't provide that... nothing else you even consider putting in this game is worth my time or money. After you put out that fire, work on putting in meaningful level (whatever the new max will be) content. This game feels like it's still in beta six months in (maybe even worse than that), no direction, giving us fluff and content that should've been included at release and spinning it to be something we're suppose to get excited about? Nah not buying it anymore.
  9. Amen. If I could right now I'd be playing in a match of PvP. Instead I'm typing here because my server is dead and there's not enough people for ANY PvP. I played (yeah I'm going to start using past tense until my sub runs out) on an early access server and six months in, a server that Bioware placed guilds onto can't even support one match of PvP. It's quite frankly pathetic. No I won't re-roll and I feel more idiotic by the day hoping that something will make a friggin queue pop in my supposed MMO.
  10. SWTOR Re-release December 2012. We will be shutting down the game for a complete overhaul. Comming Soon in December 2012. Upcomming feature - SUPER SERVER : THE FATMAN will be able to hold all remaining interested players.
  11. Don't you just love someone who can justify that less people working on an MMO that needs a lot of help at this stage is a good thing somehow? There's no direction for endgame content and none even slated for the near future. Everything is being done at snail pace already and now there's less manpower on it? I don't give a flying **** anymore what any other game has done or what growing pains they've had. Bioware had a great reputation prior to this and Mass Effect 3... the quality isn't there anymore. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I know I'm not alone.
  12. The fact that this game lacks well thought out max level content that would entertain a more than causal play style is a big issue. The fact that this game is so focused on "Legacy" and creating alts is another flaw for anyone who wishes to immerse themselves in non existent level 50 end game. Add on top of it all the fact that you can't do any level 50 content due to large population issues on a good 95% (if not more) of servers even if you wanted to! I can't PvP 20 hours out of the day & I'm lucky? Not an MMO. There's 10 people on the Fleet? Not an MMO. D3 can completely cripple my guild that was running operations semi-regularly? Not an MMO. I'm actively leveling 3 alts on my dead server while transfers come? While my 3 50's sit pretty on my log in screen. Not an MMO. Need more examples? I'd like to ask: When's test going to be here? Let's hope Tuesday.... but it's wishful thinking perhaps. Transfers? When? We've desperately needed them for a long time. Rated's? I'll believe it when I see it, thanks for all the up to date info on a feature that didn't make the cut a month and a half ago. In my "free month" I've grown to resent that fact that Bioware hasn't done anything impressive. EA is cutting their work force, when major game breaking issues are plaguing this game so early in its release. We the players are left wondering if we should pay our sub fees while twiddling our thumbs and trying to not grasp the concept that things just may not pan out as we had hoped?
  13. I've had a few small issues, and I was actually quite impressed with customer service over the phone and with my in-game tickets as well. I wish my closed ticket would quit flashing green at me every time I log on to a new character... but meh I won't make a ticket about my ticket.. I think it's a known issue? Kudos... and it's not likely I'll give any more of those out until my server has people on it again.
  14. Questing is like space combat you may as well be on rails "or on a boat" cause... if you do happen to get off the track, you're going to pay with excess travel time. Only real reason to explore an area outside of questing is datacrons (or if you're really bored codexs). The flow to the questing could be compared to the cataclysm expansion. Trying to gate everyone into doing questing that way just feels tedious and redundant especially with bonus quests that make you wonder why you wasted an hour doing something that could've taken fifteen minutes if you had each "stage" at the same time. Guess you've got to wait for the repops on the silver mobs you already butchered forty of to kill five more specific ones and then go back to click on some boxes besides them later, only to then be lead to kill one last dude that someone else (the only other person in the zone) just happened to finish killing. Due to population issues on my server, sometimes the only thing to do is level unless you want to sit on the fleet, or do dailies again and again and again. I thought the questing was okay and the story was great the first few times through. It's starting to feel like I've played through Mass Effect 2 for the fifth time. There's only so much leveling a person can do when they keep ignoring all their level 50's and opt to log on to the next alt due to sheer boredom with everything this game has to offer at max level. The small amount of unique class quests isn't enough of a carrot on a stick to make me content with doing the large majority of spacebar content at nauseam.
  15. Huh, I didn't think there was anyone left who has experienced end game that feels the way you do. I envy your ability to remain positive, really I do. I hope something amazing will pull people back to playing SWTOR. As for patch 1.3... I personally just feel really meh about it and don't see it as this games savior. It seems as though a lot is in shambles and it's going to take a lot to even regain subscriptions that this game could have easily retained if things would have been handled differently.
  16. Now this thread is actually funny. OP do you have a character at 50 yet?
  17. While I agree information on SWTOR should be given on this site before any other (It's simply irritating and unprofessional). I'd like to say good job, you tried SR. This is an angry lynch mob of a community and some of the issues that arose had nothing to do with what SR was suppose to do. Less people working at the headquarters is a bad thing any way you slice it when so many improvements are desperately needed. Who else did/are they going to let go when the development of features and content are already at a crucial state? Is this simply the five fingers saying slap for a poor performance so far? A move that may even compound the problem? We'll see.
  18. You use the word choice like it's a deliberate move on Biowares part even though it's not and until I see what they actually muster up with server transfers.. I think cross server LFG and Warzones will still be beneficial for players as a whole.
  19. Your team is good, they respond quickly to these fluctuating forums of varying opinions. Consolidation is their thang though. See the potential in them leading server transfers and later on merges. They're perfect for it and sitting right under your nose.
  20. Transfers specifically should have been considered (or in the works atleast) prior to launch and Bioware should have had the foresight to know that the ability to have a feature like that would be needed by their customers in some way in the future. Unfortunately combined with: 1.Placement of guilds in early access by Bioware 2.Early access and too few servers available (Queue QQ on forums) 3.Then they raised the server caps and added far too many servers. 4.Now people are simply not playing, leaving for D3, not happy with endgame, not happy with the fact that theres no one on their server (there are several valid reasons where one could see the services we are being provided with are less than adequate at this point). I'm sorry this game without transfers/merges and possibly even after that does happen is most likely still going to be on life support simply because this issue wasn't handled in an appropriate timely manner. This problem didn't happen over night and now with the emergence of every new game *cough D3 cough* it's going to get worse. The actual launch and the first few months were great, the after math of watching the population on my server drop to the point that it has is tragic and leaves me wishing that I could play an MMO with people again.
  21. I thought it was bad before D3.. it's only gotten worse and I can't even get a PvP queue, sitting on the fleet for hours isn't my idea of a good time and a lot of people will unsub if something that should have been considered before launch is not at an implementation stage before "early summer".
  22. You should get another free month IMO since it has been almost that long since you've had access to an MMO (with no real help in the immediate future). Maybe we can get some single player flash points too along with our ships GTN and mailbox. Make it really non-immersive. Edit: SWTSR Star Wars the Solo Republic
  23. A little shy of prime time, but 7 standard and every other server is at light... What happens when precious, The Fatman is at light during prime time in a month from now and we still don't have transfers?
  24. I expected quality from Bioware and I don't feel it's anywhere near a B or a C in the PvP department anyways. My question to you is... Room for improvement or no idea what they're doing? 1.1.1 Patch - 1/31: Warzones Voidstar Players are no longer able to climb out of the attacking team spawn area in the hangar before the match starts. Good thing they got back on it... for 1.2.4 Patch - 5/15: Warzones Voidstar •Characters that exit the protected spawn area before the match begins are now killed. Wasted time on Ilum fail. Ruined the Valor system. Rateds not comming out with 1.2 and lets face it they're no where near comming out with that anytime soon given the lack of information provided to us on it. There are so many things that need to happen before rateds come out that I find it ridiculous they could even convinced themselves that a beta version of rated warzones could be pumped out with 1.2. Fixes that are implied in patch notes but not followed through with. Now lets add the fact I can't even PvP in this game because a decent chunk of servers can't even support it due to low populations. I'm just not impressed lately and the lack of information given to us since 1.2 came out is astouding, I really thought they would pull out something pretty cool in the free month we were given and it looks like I'm wrong.
