  1. Nope but then again I can barely get a queue. PvP General •A fix for some causes of players becoming stuck dead in Warzones has been implemented, though the issue may still rarely occur. This to me reads we maybe sorta fixed it, but don't hold us to it. Not like it's the first time they've claimed something was fixed and it infact wasn't. Atleast they're trying to cover their butts at this point with the extra "though the issue may still rarely occur" part right? So in other words it might be slightly better but you're still going to have to deal cause we probably didn't get it completely right. Warzones Voidstar •Characters that exit the protected spawn area before the match begins are now killed. This strikes me as odd too. They really can't figure out how to prevent players from leaving the protected spawn area before the match begins without... killing them. Seems a little fail but then again I've actually been paying attention to warzone patch notes since mid January so I'm use to it.
  2. The lack of information given to customers on several issues is just insulting at this point. This game is not an MMO anymore to me. When I spend four hours of my time trying to complete a PvP daily and can not because I've spent most of that time on the fleet waiting for a queue to pop... it's not fun and a complete waste of time. I remember the good old days in early WoW... fighting 40vs40 in AV, I'd got to bed in the wee hours of the morning, wake up and guess what.. that same match would still be raging on. Now that's some real PvP. Fast forward 7 years and what Bioware has given us... is simply not adequate in a lot of ways. I've tried to be patient but everyone has a limit to of the amount of BS they'll endure when they're simply trying to wind down, have fun and play a friggin video game. I'm not so sure merges and transfers will even help anymore to be quite honest. I'm on the fence about wether or not to play considering the amount of effort put forth on relevant issues and poor communication with the player base on Biowares part. If I decide to hop off that fence I won't be looking back. Bioware you had an impeccable reputation at one point.
  3. No one is impressed. Well, I uhhh.. cool
  4. I know you know what force bending is.. I was trying to explain the difference between the healing specs.. and noting the reasons behind why it is beneficial for other classes to have their HOTs up at all times. I can easily put out high numbers while helping my team win too. It's not that hard. Unless you're pure healing/dps your #'s won't reflect as well at the end of the game. Nor will it look good if you've been actively defending a node.. just how it goes. Are you upset that you don't get MVP votes? Are you trying to raise awareness that when you play a hybrid spec... your #'s are split? What? A lot of the time people who do contribute to a win don't always get recognized at the end of a game... shouldn't be a big deal really. Go ahead and give yourself a nice pat on the back for a job well done and queue up again. Edit: Evidence of high #'s is usually due to players on the opposing side not doing what they should be doing. If I'm healing a warzone where people are putting pressure on me to keep myself alive as opposed to kicking back and using line of sight well to avoid being targeted... I'm going to have a good 150-250k difference in healing that round I'd guess.
  5. That's cool n all but my points remain, I have a lot of MMO healing under my belt as well. You may think certain things are unecessary when they are infact useful because you do not understand the class. I've played a sorcerer & a smuggler in level 50 PVP and they function very differently. A sorcerer has one hot that will grant force bending. A smugglers main hot stacks twice and also procs upper hand which is extremely useful. It only makes sense to have it ticking on as many players as possible. As someone who really hasn't dabbled in anything but healing in warzone's... I still get the feeling that you're just not all that into it (healing wise) and chose poor examples to highlight a valid point that #'s aren't everything. As a healer I feel I've failed if I don't out heal the highest dps on either side. I have high standards, try to help with objectives, and heal my *** off in warzones. I think I'm an asset to any team. I will also fight to keep you alive and won't just swtich to dps and let you drop to your death because I don't think I can catch you before your face plants into the ground. IMO that's what a healer should do. Heal.
  6. I'm afraid I just don't agree with your logic, and I'm pretty sure you are not a healer.
  7. Agreed, the foundation for an amazing MMO is there. Lack of attention to bugs old and new, end game content and players abilities to engage in it due to server population issues, No LFG, No cross-servers warzones, No ability to transfer servers yet (should've been in the works before launch imo). It's still a fun but extremely frustrating ride atm while we wait for an MMO that was pushed out too early to have all the bells and whistles we are accustom to... these are things that make everything jive together and feel like an MMO yet they are absent which makes it feels like a single player game a lot of the time. I think Bioware knows this game isn't in a place that a large majority of people would have expected it to be in right now. I think they are ambitious to give us what we want they just don't have the time, tools, man power, or foresight (in some cases) to do so effectively. Drones saying "everythings super thanks for asking" are either playing on The Fatman, easily amused or simply haven't played this game enough to fully grasp what's even happening in it past their single player story mode.
  8. If the two go hand in hand that's fine and logically needed to sustain a functional PvP system for low pop servers. Have they said anything about cross server queueing and when that might happen? Have they said anything after dropping a bomb a day before 1.2 came out... when this anticipated feature will be back on the table? I don't even know if we can assume 1.3 and I think a bone thrown to the people that care about it would be proper.
  9. I'm part of the get it right and give it to me when it's ready crowd, but there were a decent amount of people disappointed it was not included in 1.2. It'd be pretty cool if Bioware would atleast give us some kind of eta on the implementation of this feature.
  10. While your correct for the most part, I think free transfers is a step in the right direction to aleviate some of the frustrations people who play on low population servers have been facing. If it's implemented correctly it could help balance out the overall population a lot better than it currently is... not saying it'll be perfect, not saying people are going to be 100% happy about how it will effect their server, not saying it's not going to be painful while waiting for server transfers to happen either. Take away the ability to PvE or PvP on a server and what you've got left really isn't anything you'd call an MMO. This is a critical issue. It should be priority #1 and it needs to be done right.
  11. If they really did have the foresight.. a lot more US servers wouldn't be in the dire situation that they are in now. I did notice what seemed to be an extremely large influx of people playing during the rakghoul event but it has since dropped... to less players than before the release of 1.2 which is concerning. I think server transfers, merges, along with cross server queueing for PvE & PvP would definitely help this game move in the right direction again. It's not too much to ask that we be able to play with people in an MMO and you can't fault a player for their server choice when they began playing either.
  12. They may get sub $ off of people that are no longer into playing the game, but it won't last. The point is you've undervalued a player who pays & plays the game. These are the people who will ultimately help this game suceed. You can tell everyone there's a million bajillion people playing till you're blue in the face. It won't matter when a person logs into their server and it's dead. I couldn't get into a game of PvP all morning yesterday and if you're going to tell me it's because most swtor players are avid church goers I'm going to laugh in your face. Even trying to get a group together for a flash point during prime time is a joke. It's not acceptable in an MMO that there's a monthly fee attached to. Before launch Bioware put guilds that were registered on to servers. In early access there were far too few servers to choose from. Then huge queues came.... it seemed like the caps on servers were increased and then a buttload of servers that shouldn't have been added were added anyways in anticipation of an influx that never happened. Sure people will plunk in a lot of time when a game first launches, sure that will drop off after a while... the problem is Bioware didn't have the foresight to recognize this and populations have kept dropping on some servers to an unacceptable level. Now we're all spread apart on too many servers and no one but people on a handful of servers are really getting an MMO experience at all.
  13. Q&A Arymono: When will character transfers be available for everybody? Dallas Dickinson (Senior Producer, Live Services): We will be rolling out our Character Transfer Service in early summer. First we’ll have some targeted free transfers from/to specific servers, but that will be followed with a broader system where you can either take advantage of free promotional transfers to specific servers or paid transfers to the server of your choice. We know everyone has more questions about character transfer, and we’ll reveal more details closer to the launch date. Sounds like we will be given a decent amount of options. Time is of the essence at this point and has been for some time. DrakeAssaShin: What is being done to address low population servers? Dallas: The Character Transfer Service, as mentioned above, will be offering free transfers from/to specific servers. This should allow the most motivated players to get onto a higher population server. Which is all anyone's really wanted for months. Server balance and the sheer amount of light pop servers is unacceptable. To not be able to pvp or pve on your server due to lack of players in an MMO at any hour of the day... no excuses quite cut it anymore.
  14. It's the same way on my server. I'm a pugger and the Empire side has way more people and puggers than on the republic side where there are more functional premades and a smaller player base. I'd like to think I'm a decent player and I know my class but I've almost given up on playing my inquisitor, she can't get a win, and continually get's stomped in place without being able to move yet less cast a heal. I'm talking popping unbreakable will and then still being stunned in place while I watch myself die. Hop on over to my republic character and let the rolling over people begin. No problem getting my weekly out of the way. She's less geared atm and honestly I don't feel I even play a smuggler as good as a inquisitor but it's a no brainer to win. I don't know long term how this will effect PvP but rated warzones not going live with 1.2 has really put a lot of people who pug warzones in a bad situation. To a certain extent it's not even about skill. It's not fun to get stomped and it's not really fun to be the stomper either. Either way it's not challenging and it may just turn a lot of people who like to pug away from PvP (or even this game) depending on which faction you play and what premade groups have formed on your server while they're waiting for ranked warzones to hit.
  15. Everyone's crying about one thing or another on these forums.. PvP isn't a special flower. I don't know why I bother with reading a large majority of the ridiculous baseless thoughts I find here. Class balance is sub-par still, granted it's improving overall imo, but it's no where near perfect. When we're getting class balancing that should've been included at launch four months down the road in 1.2. That's concerning. You are correct, pugs will suffer until they implement rated warzones. It's a far better solution than mixed match queues that would have rewarded the premades more for their efforts though. It's not in a terrible state but it definitely still needs a lot of improvements and better logic behind the changes that are made. Some people whining and complaining here do have a valid point every so often.
  16. No they really shouldn't... Yes people will come to these forums uninformed and make accusations that something isn't working right when it's infact working as intended. Sure people are going to whine because their pug got *** stomped by a premade because well.. some people got excited about rated warzones and now there seems to be more premades queueing up. There are legitimate complaints and issues with PvP and its overall development in this game. To be blind to them and believe its peachy keen how it is... and to believe that it doesn't need any work at this stage is unrealistic for an MMO that's only been out 4 months. Put on those rose colored glasses and take it how you can get it I guess.
  17. While I can agree with the sentiment that people like to whine, complain, and they simply lack the ability to play their class correctly/don't understand the mechanics of other classes they are fighting against... Classes seem better since 1.2, but still are not balanced. I believe that's part of the reason we don't have real combat logs or rated warzones. A Premade should beat a pug every time. Overall against a premade you're not going to be able to hone in on your skills as a player with your class because these people know the right abilities to use, they know what your class is capable of and they can lock you in place till your lying face first on the ground. There are still fundamental issues wrong with PvP. Hacking, too many stuns, too much CC, resolve doesn't function well (should've used a function like diminishing returns.. so much for being original) lack of class balance that still does exist, and as a healer I'm sick of people not showing up in my raid frames... it's really irritating.
  18. Agreed, With all my Kira customizations alone (not even including all the other repeats even) I could have bought 2 color crystals (don't want color crystals... just saying it'd be better than a kick where the sun don't shine). Instead I take my worthless repeat customizations and throw em off to the side of my screen for.. deletion since they won't sell back to a vendor for zero credits. It feels like a wasted effort to attain something that I don't really want for currency that's valuable for other things as well. I have the same feeling about random PvP bags after 1.1... I got ONE single piece from 1.1 to 1.2 out of "random bags". It seemed prior to 1.1 they were way more generous than that. Random Bags in PvP after 1.1 = not all that random and enjoy your basic comms + a few creds. Random Companion Boxes = bad juju and good luck getting any customizations you may actually need. I've only even gotten 5 out of the 8 companions and I've opened a decent amount of em. Random could be done well but as of late, it's not all that random and predictably bad. I just don't think it's a good design overall and it's penalizing the player by not giving them the option to obtain what they truely want while feeding them junk they can't use or even trade off for what they do want. Please re-think anything you want to tag as "random" in the future. Atleast in PvP there were still things you wanted to buy with the basic comms... With these random companion customization boxes it's a total and complete waste of time to spend your DNA samples for a companion you'll never have multiple times over. I'm mostly sad because I've exploded so much and have diligently done all of the dailies every day and TWO of the customizations I actually wanted are most likely not going to land in my bags... it's just got me feelin a little meh.
  19. Elhanan, your obsession with what you perceieve as griefing in this event is unfounded. I almost feel bad that you've wasted a whole week debating your feelings here on an issue that's simply a random game mechanic for a world event. You make out the majority of the population on your server to be very vindictive and malicious with their intent to infect you... and I think you know they really are not. With an effect like being able to explode every half hour or so RANDOMLY it's not the type of thing you can easily force upon another. If there really are people trying to do so.. there's a reason for it. The regular player that makes an effort to avoid it and doesn't bring attention to themselves, will find it fairly easy to not become infected. I don't see a negative to being infected, I think it's cool. But to spew stories that people on your server are pretty much out to get ya... I'm not buying it.
  20. Me Personally... I've deleted a good 160 DNA worth of Kira Customizations. (maybe more) I just can't get Corso or Andy... I've been participating from the beginning and really think one of em should have popped up for me considering the sheer amount of samples I've put into them. I wish they were tradeable, could buy individual customizations for a set amount of DNA.... something that actually allows you to recieve something useful for your efforts. One last try to get them tonight... I need all the luck I can get, Overall I love this event, it's just slightly irritating for those who want to benefit from this event with companion customizations specifically and can not due to the awful random box system and the fact that they bind to legacy.
  21. If the guild really cared about it, they would make their players get rid of the de-buff BEFORE the raid began. Once again, Not that hard to tell and poor raid management. On page 69.. I said this and it still holds true, I refuse to reply further to any of the people mentioned below, you included from now on.
  22. Yeah cause its so friggin hard to tell when someone has a large green/yellow swirly around their mid-section with Bright orange glowy eyes.... If it's that important to a guild that their players do not have the de-buff during a raid. I don't see how it's all that hard to eliminate it when putting the raid together. I've got three stacks of the stupid vaccine atm... someone in the raid has to have some too I'd think, or they'ed prepare for it at the very least. If it wasn't important enough to prepare for. It's not a big enough deal to quit over plain and simple.
  23. SO your WHOLE GUILD got their knickers in a bunch over this paticular issue? I find that hard to swallow. If it mattered so much to your guild and you had a good guild leader they would specify to come to the raid w/o an infected de-buff or you wouldn't get in. On the flip side I've read stories on here about people who have had a good chuckle when it happens in their raids. Maybe your guild just isn't all that Pro?
  24. If Skolops, Urael, Bulwyf, Ferroz and Elhanan would quit posting... I'd be happy. There's your MAJORITY of the MINORITYS negative posts in this thread. It's a fun event, thousands of people have enjoyed it so far. Sorry you have some personal hang up about it, that's not my problem though and I don't think it's Biowares problem either. If you don't like all of the content you're being provided with for whatever reason. I suggest you get over it or unsub. This is an MMO (this event makes if feel more like one too) and whining about this event and its mechanics will get you no where when it's been a very positive in-game experience for the people actively participating in it.
