  1. How long have you been level 50? I've had one since early January (and several more after) and I have voiced displeasure in the lack of content for people at level 50 prior to 1.2. The black hole dailies and this event have given me something different/fun to do on my first level 50 character again that I actually enjoy doing. I'll be fiending for the next outbreak, trust me.
  2. No doubt, it's disgusting really. Give the players new immersive content that we didn't expect and instead of praising Bioware for an awesome event they have provided.. a small minority who really just don't get it and haven't even tried it are voicing their displeasure here. People who don't like it can ***** and moan all they want to but it won't do a bit of good. It won't negate the fact that Bioware knows how many people are actively involved and loving the overall concept behind this event. These people will only be begging for more of it after 4/24 too.
  3. You've got some solid figures ... Anyone who's going to believe your gibbberish is out touch with reality and has no clue what a immersive MMO should be about.
  4. Out of the 982 posts on this thread I'm betting you and Elhanan alone make up about 250+ posts if not more. Check your history.... Check his. I've felt passionate about certain issues, I usually try to make sure that it's a valid issue that actually matters though. To hate this event.. the thought almost makes me laugh its so ridiculous. It has effected my server in an extremely positive way. No you get to play the MMO you're paying for in the manner that Bioware provides it. I don't think an opt-out or an opt-in should be an option, don't change it please. It's a WORLD EVENT.
  5. Hi, You're playing an MMO. This is a world event, it's an event that has made this game feel more immersive. I've seen what 1.2 and this event has done to the population on my server, it's booming. If you don't like it and can't tolerate it perhaps an MMO isn't for you. I don't want Bioware to change a daym thing because a very obnoxious, vocal minority won't stop debating endlessly in this thread about why they don't like it, but won't even try it. It's fun, it's really not harming your gameplay in any detrimental way. If you truely believe it is... you're no one I wish to play with.
  6. You and Sko have posted hundreds of times here. It's simply obnoxious. Why so much hate for an event you won't even try, it's not that hard to avoid and when you can't big deal... you can profit from it. I said this before and I'll say it again... There's like four or five vocal people in this thread that won't let it drop, I think you're all just Skolops alts atm trying to keep this ridiculous conversation going when people should be praising Bioware for a job well done.
  7. I've had so much fun participating in this event. I'll honestly be sad when then plague is contained (though I hope for more outbreaks in the future). This is definitely the most enjoyable questing I've had on my (main) level 50 character since January. Nice job Bioware! Don't want to complain too much, but the random companion customization boxes are a teeny bit dissapointing . It's always Kira, Kira, Kira for me (no really, the last three in a row that I've purchased ALL Kira). Random boxes are cool when there's more variety. I'd rather spend a certain amount (60 to 80 a piece) to attain the customizations that would be relevant to the characters I've chosen to play than keep getting customiztions I'll never ever utilize.
  8. Have you tried it? I didn't think so. If you're such a fuddy duddy that you can't appriciate a fun world event like this... and will bash it endlessly because you disagree with its mechanics. Perhaps you should try a nice single player game or hello kitty adventure island.. bet that game won't impact your delicate gaming style with green gooey explosions of fun and awesome... could be wrong though.
  9. Damn right the majority is correct and they're loving this event. Do a search on Tatooine on your server, you'll see. Look at the pile of people on the fleet trying to get infected, it's fun embrace it.
  10. I want to roll a character on your server just to run up and explode all over you... I'd just watch with delight knowing you were freaking out IRL because your character in a video game is all green and gooey, what a pitty,
  11. You have well over 100 posts on this thread alone, Whats the use of debate anyways? Do you think Bioware is going to sift through 100+ of your posts to make you happy and change it to what you'd like? I doubt it. The pro-plaguers are only speaking for the majority and trying to give the correct perception of what's happening in-game, that the players as a whole love this event.
  12. Still on your crusade to whine as loudly and vocally as you possibly can because of your discontent with something as trivial as fun new content that the large majority of players are enjoying. Could it use some tweaks, sure. The ones you specifically are proposing, I don't think so. This world event is immersive and fun and shouldn't be opt-in or anything of that nature. This is an MMO and anything that adds this level of interaction with the players just makes it feel more alive and that's a good thing. People who are so resistant to it are most likely people who haven't even given it a try and are pretty uptight about a little green goo splatter imo. I love it. Find something actually important to complain about.
  13. You can profit from participating easily, you can get a pet, color crystals, companion customizations, if nothing else you can sell the samples for credits to other players and make a decent amount doing so. Why wouldn't you want to opt in? Why wouldn't you want an immersive event in your MMO?
  14. Last night Tatooine was the place to be. There was still a huge pile of people participating in this event on the fleet when I logged in briefly this morning. Skolops is the minority, there is nothing wrong with the mechanics of this event. The majority of the people love it! While Sko can be vocal about disliking it on the forums here, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of people doing this event in-game right at this moment. They're diggin it and wouldn't want anything to be changed about it.
  15. The ginormous pile of people sitting on my fleet beg to differ with you.
  16. Yeah it's so crippling when you explode and objects you can easily sell to other people are placed in your inventory. Screw you Bioware!
  17. I'm running around TRYING to get infected on my character if I'm not already. It's easy you go into the pile of people on the fleet or you go out and let a rakghoul beat on you. What I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around at this point is.... how hard is it to not get infected and how detrimental to your gameplay cold it possibly be when you are? I could come up with a decent sized list of things way more crucial to this games sucess than changing the mechanic of immersive new content.
  18. It's an MMO they're introducing an immersive aspect, it's a good thing, it's fun.
  19. I don't normally pull the unsub card, but when you're on the forums putting a negative spin on something that the majority of players are having a blast with... Who are you to come and shart on my fun? I hate to break it to you but there are far more important and valid things to complain about in this game than brand new content that's fun for a lot of people. Pulling the valued customer line are we? Makes me feel like doing what my character does when she's infected. They really can't appease everyone, it's not possible with the differing view points that people seem to have on something as simple as this even...
  20. I'm sick of Bioware trying to appease the small minority. To top it off this paticular issue is just ridiculous. Now people are mad at fun content that makes the game more immersive? I want this, I want that, it's not fair, gimme this too because Billy Bob got it! The forum community isn't going to be happy with anything Bioware chooses to do as of recently, even if it's a positive thing a small minority of people will spin it in a bad light and QQ all over these obnoxious threads for attention. I'm not usually one to say this but if you don't like it unsub. Don't make the majority suffer because you've got a hang up on a lil fun puking and exploding. It's not game breaking and it's not the end of the world. Get over it and if you can't, maybe an MMO isn't quite for you anymore.
  21. Did you realize you're playing an MMO with other people? If you've seriously got your undies in a bunch this Monday morning because Bioware added fun new content that's making it finally FEEL like an MMO I think you need to re-evaluate if you want to play. If you don't like you're really not being forced to do anything. Perhaps you need to pick up Skyrim or something. I think it's great and my server is definitely down with the sickness.
  22. Please take time away from the forums, play the game and reflect on if you're having fun playing it. See if what Bioware is providing you is adequate. I'm going to go do just that too...
  23. The entitlement is strong with this community. Edit: Along with my free month, I feel everyone deserves a life-sized figure of Darth Malgus. Edit again: It better arrive at my door no later than 6:00 pm on May 31st. I feel that's an adequate amount of time to allow you Bioware. Edit again again: A free t-shirt would be nice too one of those fancy jinx ones!
  24. Lemme refer you to this thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=409829
  25. I like the giggle but the sheer amount of them was a bit much before. Perhaps a giggle when when we max our upperhand charges to 3, it'd be a good audio queue too.
