  1. Tell you the truth if I cant bring my gear into a WZ I probably wont do them very often and stick more to open world PvP where I could use my gear. I want to feel like my character is growing and getting better as time goes on. The reason I play these types of games is because through levels, crew skills, and gear progression your character grows and gets better over time. If you dont want gear progression in PvP then play a different game because that isnt how these types of games work. If you want to level the playing field and be on par with everyone else then put in the time and effort to get the gear to be able to do that becasue thats how these games go.

I just read the article from IGN stating that Ilum is being left as is and you are taking all dailies out of it wich is fine with me but if there is no incentive to go there other than just to try to engage in world PvP then why would you go there. I consider myself a PvP player and my favorite type of PvP is open world. PvP'ers are going to go where the people are because they want to be able to PvP. If there is noone on Ilum to PvP against then I wont go there. So if all the incentives are for PvPers to got to WZ's then even though my favorite type of PvP is open world I wont do it because there is noone there. For instance Smugglers Den at Tatooine. The whole concept sounds really cool that its a free for all and you can even kill your own faction but I havnt even went there and attempted to check it out other than what ive read because noones there. This is a prime example of whats gonna happen to any Open World PvP that you introduce and do not give any incentive to PvPers to go there and try it. Who am I gonna try and kill? Am I really gonna sit there and hope for someone to come because there is really no reason to be there other than that you like open world PvP. PvPers are like moths and will go where the players are to fight.
  4. My guess is that they want to change the fact that they just spam tracer/grav for max damage and maybe give them some type of rotation to bring it down a little bit. Maybe address the BH's heat advantage or mortar's delay. I hope they dont touch the healing im happy witht that so far. Maybe up the healing on Kolto nade would be awesome.
  5. No im talking about all endgame insane mode or whatever its called ops all of it should be puggable by fresh 50's and people in full pvp gear cause thats what you want for pvp so it should be just as good for pve.
  6. My arguement is that if you are a pvper you wont be able to turn around and just jump straight into an endgame raid without having to gear up to the content. So why is it that PvEers expect to be able to jump right into endgame pvp without even gearing up to the current players. Seems to me the PvE community shoulda stuck to there Ops where they belong and stop QQing when you think you should be able to crossover into PvP and compete with people thats been doing it much longer than you. Ok so if I cant kill a boss or mob in a flashpoint as quick as the other PvEers thats been doing it for a while and have better gear than me because I do PvP and thats what my gear is for. Then Ill just go QQ to BW and they can dumb down the content so it can be completly puggable by people with ****** gear or pvp gear. I bet you PvE guys would love your part of the game being ruined for us PvEers huh. So why do you question the PvP community when we get pissed when this happens to us cause thats what they just practically did.
  7. I will have to admit that once I get my 4 medals and if we are losing bad I will go into semi-afk mode and wait the game out.
  8. Well I dont know about your server but Ilum was rocking on mine and im Republic. Almost everyday you could go there to find a Ops that will be half full or almost full and Republic is greatly outnumbered on our server like most. Doing SS vs TM style world PvP there. Or me and some friends/guildies would group up and roam around killing stragglers or whoever trying to start bigger fights. I do agree about finding people for flashpoints but all BW had to do to remedy this is add some type of group finder interface that shows you or groups class/role/lvl/and flashpoint you want to do instead of killing off world PvP to force everyone to fleet.
  9. So I guess bioware was having alot of troubles with Ilum and decided to kill it off and make it to where you can do the dailies through WZ's. Thx for making this game exactly like WoW before I left it. Now I get to sit in fleet all day and queue up for WZ's, yeah. Now I cant join an Ops on Ilum and do some SS vs TM style pvp if I want to because NOONE will be there. Ok, well me and some of my friends or guildies will make a group and roam around Ilum killing people until they get a group and we have a nice battle going on. Nope cant do that either since NOONE will be there. Well ok since Ilum will be dead now maybe I can get some world PvP through dailies. Funneling imps and repubs together through dailies can be a good way to get some world PvP going. Ah wait the dailies for endgame players are useless so noone does them much so no world PvP that way. Ok well maybe BW could put the Flashpoint entrances out into the worlds so people will have to travel to them and you could get some world PvP action through that. Nope, they put all the flashpoint entrances on fleet or in bases so you dont get any cross faction interaction at all. So heres my quetion BW. Wheres the world PvP that you boasted about before launch because I dont see it. All I see is people waiting for queues on fleet for WZ's and there is absolutely no cross faction interactions to start some type of world PvP wich is the same exact thing you do in WoW and is the same exact reason I left it. If something isnt changed with world PvP and all we are is gonna sit on fleet and wait for queues then im bailing on SWTOR as soon as Guild Wars is released. WoW became really boring because of this so how do you think it will be any different for this game.
  10. Dont you talk about my women Jaxo like that. Shes just a free spirit. Sometimes a little too free. But anyways Elara doesnt know anything about Jaxo and I plain on keeping it that way so make sure you hide that behind a spoiler alert lol. Elara is a great house wife but Jaxo can suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch.
  11. Wasnt the choice to save Jaxo or let the prisoners die. I paused for a minute when this one came around but then I just told myself that the prison was probably filled with a bunch of father rapers and waved by to them. Me and Jaxo are sippin on margaritas on the beach while im typing this. Ill gladly eat 100 darkside pionts to keep this hotty around lol.
  12. Also for us Healers power not only increases damage but it also increases healing. Offtopic: I dont understand why they have the Rakata Triage Adrenal that increases your healing but decreases your damage for healers. But the Rakata Attack Adrenal increases your power that increases both your damage and healing so it makes the Triage obsolete and useless. Im assuming the Triage is supposed to increase your healing more than the Attack adrenal but it doesnt and is probably bugged. Ill keep both on hand for the situation when they fix the Triage.
  13. Its all about Supercharge Cells. Get a Kolto Bomb on whoever is in the most trouble to get the shield and extra healing on them then start spamming AMP then MP. With a Supercharge Cells I can bring a group back up to full quickly.
  14. I disagree with your view on expertise. Expertise not only increses your damage/heals but it also increases your damage resistance and makes you harder to kill in pvp. From a pure DPS point of view you are right but that is only in PvE. In PvP you need damage resistance also because players arent governed by agro so they will attack you. A dead DPS'er provides 0 DPS. So adding in the importance of survival in PvP I still think that a full Battlemaster set is just as good as adding in a couple pieces of Rakata or maybe even better since survivability is usually king in PvP. For healers the 4 piece bonus for battlemaster or rakata is the same. I personally think the 2 piece set bonus for rakata is better but I cant go into PvP without expertise being a healer since I am targeted immediately when they see me. I personally believe that survivability is more important in pvp because a dead player contributes nothing. Oh by the way I feel ripped off with the 4 piece bonuses being the same and feel like the dev team got lazy.
  15. From a Healers view. I took Explosive Round off my UI at lower levels. Really its only worth using Hammer Shot, Charged Bolts, High Impact, and Full Auto when your at the end of Supercharged Cells. I seen someone say how its useful for flags with the instant cast aoe and im thinking of putting it back onto my UI for this so I guess it has a use.

  18. Why not use Tanno Vik. Without having to micromanage him it seems like the better choice until they fix 4X.

  20. The thing that really frustrates me is that there is no Aim Hilts for Tanno Viks and Yuuns weapons. The 2 companions that I like using since I am a Commando Medic and I cant modify there weapons.

  22. I am a Medic Commando and when I activate Supercharged Cells I usually either pump out a bunch of heals or Charged Bolts. At the end of Supercharged Cells I will use Kolto Bomb to put the Shield on someone but I have noticed that it seems like if I throw the bomb and Supercharged Cells ends before Kolto Bomb detonates that it does not get the shield effect. I know a couple things could be happening here. Either I am getting some lag or something and my Kolto Bomb is thrown after Supercharged Cells expires. This is hard for me to test but as far as I can tell I am throwing Kolto Bomb While Supercharged Cells is still active. But in between the animation of my trooper throwing it and it hitting and detonating Supercharged Cells expires and I am not getting the shield on my targets. Or this is inteded and Supercharged Cells needs to be active when the Kolto Bomb actually detonates. This seems wrong to me if I activate the ability while Supercharged Cells is active but because of the delay with the animation and Kolto Bomb has to travel to the area it doesnt detonate till after Supercharged Cells has expired. Has anyone esle noticed this or is this working as intended. Seems bugged to me because I dont see why we should be punished over waiting for animations and Supercharge Cells expiring before the Kolto Bomb gets to detonate. The way it should go is if I activate Kolto Bomb while Supercharged Cells is active I should still get my shields on my targets even if Supercharged Cells exprires before the animation and Kolto Bomb detonates. Edit: After testing it a little bit I am pretty sure it is doing this but I dont know if Supercharged Cells needs to be active for the detonation or when I activate the ability and Ammo is taken away. I think if Ammo is taken away from my character and I have already commited to the ability I should get the shield effect from Supercharged Cells if it is active at that time.
  23. New server hopping will probably be rampant for pvp servers at the begining. Things will settle at the end of the month after christmas.
  24. Either way I dont feel like getting mauled while leveling to 50. There will still be those out there that will make griefing lowbies a priority. Im just gonna wait till new servers are open to make a serious character so I can skip that part and be one of those guys that gank lowbies constantly for fun. Its better to be the hunter than the prey.
