  1. So does anyone know a site that has a loot list of the lvl 55 HM flashpoints. I don't want to hear dulfy.net because all they have Is the loot tables for operations. They have guides for the HM flashpoints but not loot lists unless I am completely missing them somehow. Everything I have come across is out of date. tor-loot doesn't look like its been updated forever.
  2. Heres my dilema for Combat Medic. From what it sounds like is that you should stop stacking any crit after youve reached 25%. Now my question is that should I stop stacking crit when my crit rating reaches 25% from gear alone or should I stop taking crit when my crit rating hits 25% with talents, gear, and everything else included. Im sure I should focus on power after crit is where I want it but how much surge and alacrity should I be running around with?
  3. Kolto Wave and Psych Aid needs their healing increased to make them effective. Unless people are right on top of you Kolto Wave is useless and you dont want to waste the time to run up to use it unless you have an opening. Right now the healing on it isnt enough to make you want to run up to use it on a group and with growing health pools the heal is barely noticeable. Even when I have people on me and I use Concussion Charge to make room the heal from Kolto Wave is so small compared to damage from other players that it doesnt make a difference. Med Zone looks like its a better investment of 2 points than Kolto Wave. As far as Psych Aid goes im usually asking myself if I was even healed at all after using Field Aid. Again with the increased health pools I cant even tell if im getting healed from this. I still take the talent to remove negative mental effects part of it but the healing part is so small that I can care less about it. Last but not least change Frontline Medic please. Its been said over and over but Ill say it again. Its useless in PvE and only good for 1v1 in PvP. The chances of breaking a CC make you stay away from using it in fights. Atleast disconnect it from Trauma Probe and Probe Medic so I can use those 2 points on something that is useful. My spec: http://http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#800bfRoRdfdkfhzZMccZb.3 PvP
  4. I dont know if it would be OP or not considering how OP sages are atm. AMP, Trauma Probe, Kolto Residue (AOE), Hammer Shot. The only thing in our arsenal we dont really have is a true HoT.
  5. I have been wondering about combat medic also. It always seemed like medic was set up for big crits but now with the change to crit and alacrity I dont know where I should stop on either. Now its starting to look like going for power and alacrity might be the better route if its true that crits DR cap is low. I was also wondering if we should stay away from crit in our talent trees.
  6. Im pretty sure Frontline Medic only works if you Hammer Shot enemies. So it doesnt do anything if you Hammer Shot friendlies. Atleast thats what the talent says. Ive never tested it out because I thought the explanation on the talent was pretty clear.
  7. Frontline Medic is a complete waste as a talent and sucks that we have to take it to get to Probe Medic. Ive been pvping since patch to see if it has improved enough for me to make use of it since I am forced to take it now. It is still useless for PvP and has no use for PvE at all. It is still better for you to cast something else than to Hammer Shot opponents for extra ticks from Trauma Probe. Its also too much of a risk to take a chance of breaking a CC in PvP. I dont understand why you would put something like this so high up in the tree and then attatch it to a useful talent that pretty much forces us to take it. You would think with the new trees they would take the opportunity to get rid of this talent or at least redesign it since it has no use for PvE and pretty much no use in PvP.
  8. The title pretty much says it. Im dropping my Medic from being my main character in 2.0 since we will still be the bastard child of the healing classes. This isnt to say that bioware has to fix Medics or im leaving them because that never works in any MMO. Im just tired of having my heals doubled in WZ's by equally skilled scoundrels and sages. Im tired of not being considered for a serious rated WZ team because we cant compare to the other healing AC's. I was preparing my Medic for 2.0 until last week when I realized that they didnt fix us for and we still lag far behind the other healers. Medic is still my favorite character but with 2 weeks left till, there is no fixes for us in sight. I know people say that you should tough it out but I toughed it out all the way up to 2.0 hoping that they would fix us and I cant do it anymore. Sadly im moving on from a dieing AC. It seems like they need to do a complete overhaul of the enire Commando AC to fix it. I know im not the only one. Anyone else droping Medic for 2.0.
  9. Ah come on you gotta be kidding me. Here I thought all of Commando was gonna get some love and they state that they are just working on DPS. Im not really sure how things are working out for medics in 2.0 since I dont do PTR's but as far as what ive read in forums from people is that we are basically in the same spot. All of the other healers are still outperforming us. As of now an equally skilled sage or scoundrel doubles our heals with no problem. Im tired of being second rate because of my class I chose. We arent even considered for a serious RWZ team. Please tell me that your are working on fixing Commando Medic also.
  10. This guy hit it right on the nose. I know what im doing when it comes to commando heals. No matter what I do a skilled sage or scoundrel will double whatever I do in heals. They will double any commando in heals I dont care how good you are.
  11. It doesnt feel like the extra 15% healing on Trauma Probe from Probe Medic will be enough to make me want to cast it on myself and start shooting the enemy with Hammer shot. You will still be better off doing another heal on yourself or someone else instead of shooting an enemy with Hammer Shot.
  12. I have also been wondering if Frontline Medic is useful at all in 2.0. You never have Trauma Probe on yourself in flashpoints or Ops and it costs too much to use alot in PvP for way too little gain. Having to use Hammer shot on a enemy to trigger Frontline Medic is really lame. What if I have them CC'd and truthfully as a medic your Hammer Shot on enemies does pathetic damage and is a waste of time. Hopefully Probe Medic makes Trauma Probe more useful and worth the ammo spent. The bad thing is you have to take Frontline Medic to get to Probe Medic. I still dont want Frontline Medic because it is so situational to have Trauma Probe on myself and then Hammer Shotting an enemy with pathetic damage and chance of breaking CC. I dont understand why they would put something this useless so high up in our tree and then force us to waste 2 points on it to get Probe Medic If you could put Trauma Probe on someone else and then able to Hammer Shot friendlies, Frontline Medic could be useful but then you have the problem with the green beam of death that eveyone follows and you end up dieing because it screams out "here I am".
  13. I like this idea. Operating like cover does. Like the above poster said, if wer gonna be turrets they might as well give us some type of cover system setup. We would probably still need another escape anyway since what we do have is extremely weak in that regards. I also think a tweak would be nice to the cover system if they would give us something like that. Keep the interrupt and leap protection but instead of getting a defensive buff you should give us a offensive/heal buff to help with our dps/healing woes. We could setup a tripod type deal and hunker down right were we stand.
  14. Oh they cant? I thought they were for pistol users. Well that solves the Sniper and Vangaurd for me then crossbows for them lol. A 6 shooter for Smuggler would be cool then.
  15. Ive seen crossbows for pistols. Axes for saber users. What would you like to see as our old style weapons. Since we use guns this could be a little tougher. Pump Shotgun for Vanguard and Minigun for Commando? Im not sure but ive been thinking about what they could do to give us an old style type of weapon. Im sure Scoundrel is running into the same issue with the sniper rifle spec but atleast the other spec is solved with the crossbow (or bowcaster however you want to look at it lol.).
  16. Ilum back and better than ever or some type of world pvp incentives.
  17. I like that idea. If they arent gonna give us Trauma Probe as default they should atleast let us put it on more than 1 person since it costs ammo.
  18. It costs 2 Ammo and heals in small increments as you get damaged. Its only good for having it on you before entering a fight, huttball ballcarrier, or if you have extra ammo and a spare GCD. Other than that its useless. Horrible talent after they nerfed it into oblivion. Medic is lagging behind the other 2 heals right now and Trauma Probe would be great to give as baseline and give us something that will make a difference. I dont wouldnt mind getting rid of it either either way we need something different.
  19. I am starting to realize SWTOR is a waste of my money atm. I do PvP and do PvE when I need a break from it but here of late I cant do either. I have completed my story on both of my lvl 50 characters and dont want to start a 3rd character cause my second still isnt geared. I cant even think about PvPing before noon because you will basically wait for hours until a queue pops. When you do finally get a WZ and you are repub vs empire you better hope your on the winning team since your gonna get the same team over and over. Ive noticed when this happens and your on the loosing side people just dont queue for another half hour or hour and you at times dont get another match till then. Im sure things are worse than this on other servers that may even be lower pop than mine. PvE has been non-existant since a month after 1.2. When I leveled my second character I didnt get to do any lower level flashpoints because groups are not there and the only way you will get to is if you can talk guildies into running you through. When your 50 it really isnt much better and your lucky to actually find a group outside your guild. Solo questing still isnt really there other than a little bit in The Black Hole so once your done with your story line expect to just sit in Fleet and do nothing. I would run to Diablo 3 like everyone else but I like PvP and they dont have any to offer. If things keep going like this you wont have any PvP to offer me either and im really left with no choice than to cancel my subscription because as of right now this is a waste of my $$$. Im not paying $15/mo to sit in Fleet and do nothing till noon then maybe I might get to PvP if enough people finally gets on.
  20. Here are some old posts of mine that explain my build more and some tips. :DAdvanced Tech and Heavy Trooper are good skills to have for pvp. If you combine them it is an extra 10% healing on yourself wich is a decent amount, Heavy Trooper also gives you 2% endurance, and trust me when you doing pvp and they realize your a healer your going to be healing your self alot. Kolto Residue is also worth taking for the 3% increase in healing and you should be using kolto bomb all the time and have this buff up almost all the time. That is bascially a total of 13% increase in healing on yourself and 5% on others that you are giving up. Not to mention the 2% increase in endurance wich is also important for survival. If you drop like a rock when someone turns and focuses on you dont be surprised. I go with 31/10/0. Cell Capacitor, First Responder, and Med Zone aret he 3 I dont take in the medic tree. I dont take Cell Capacitor because I use Recharge Cells for "Oh Crap" moments and I dont feel like those 2 ammo are gonna make or break me. First Responder because Alacrity sucks and we are more about big crits. I dont take Med Zone also because I can usually get myself back up to full when I hit reactive shield without it and again Reactive Shield is one of those "Oh Crap" abilities that isnt constantly in use. :DFrom my experience Kolto Residue is worth it. Your alternatives would be Cell Capacitor, Med Zone, and First Responder wich ive explained why they arent worth it above. Ill try to dig more into to explain it better. Cell Capacitor and Med Zone are both for "Oh Crap" moments. I save Recharge Cells and Reactive Shield until I need them and they are on a long cooldown. So basically it might help if you take those talents when you do use those abilities but you have to think how often you are using them and if you can achieve the same thing without picking up those talents. Basically what im saying is that you shouldnt be constantly using those abilities and I believe that you can keep yourself and other people alive without those abilities being talented. You should always be using Kolto Bomb. Its bascially an instant AOE heal for up to 4 people. I know 3% extra healing isnt much at first when you look at it but if you keep it up like you should be doing it will always be active and helping you. Unlike the talents I listed above only help you sometimes when you reach those "Oh Crap" moments and I believe you dont even need them. Trauma Probe is definately worth it also. After 1.2 you need to know when to use it and not spam it because it now costs ammo. What it does is basically puts a HoT onto the person your healing wich is helpful in giving you time to get some big heals off. I know it doesnt heal for much but if you combine Trauma Probe with Preventative Medacine and Armor Screen wich makes Advanced Medical Probe give you a HoT and 10% armor buff, you will basically have 2 HoTs on them and extra armor. What I do is throw Trauma Probe on someone as soon as my Advanced Medical Probe heals them. With all of these combined it will give you enough time to throw them some big heals. For Commando healing you need to use the combined effects of Talents or abilities to get your full potential. We dont have 1 awesome heal that keeps everyone alive but we do have a set of abilities that if you put them together are very effective. ;)Here are a couple tips for medic. The trick that allows you to probably keep yourself up without taking Med Zone when using Reactive Shield is using Adrenaline Rush at the same time. I have found that if I use both at the same time I can heal myself up through almost anything short of 4 guys beating on me at the same time. If Reactive Shield is down use a medpack and Tech Override for an instant Medical Probe. Usually that will bring you back to half HP or more. I explained why Trauma Probe is useful in an above post but another little thing to do to keep yourself up is to not only do the Trauma Probe/Advanced Medical Probe combo but hit Supercharged Cells before or after and throw down a Kolto Bomb for another 5% damage reduction. So you will basically have 2 HoT's, 10%+ armor, but also another 5% damage reduction that seems to make a difference, plus the extra 5% healing from Supercharged Cells. Doing this you have basically given yourself another "Oh Crap" ability that will get you or others through some big DPS. There is 3 seperate ways to keep yourself up through those "Oh Crap" moments. You can combine any of them also to get yourself through some really bad situations. Artilerybait above is right about Recharge Cells and it isnt only for when your out of ammo but use it also if you are in a fight and know your going to need to heal for a lil bit to keep your ammo regen up. Same goes for Reserve Powercell. I still dont think the extra 2 ammo from Cell Capacitor is worth it though and think you can achieve the same things without it. Last but not least never use Medical Probe without using Advanced Medical Probe before it for the reduced ammo cost unless you dont have a choice and have to pump out some big heals.
  21. 1. Med Zone only affects healing on yourself. 2. We use ammo not resolve. (I doubt you play commando.) 3. If you actually do play commando and need Med Zone to get yourself back up to full then you are playing it wrong. I have absolutely no problems healing myself back up to full when I pop Reactive Shield.
  22. Here is the best PvP medic build for pure healing hands down. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#800bfRoRdcdkqZrcoM.1 If there are any questions feel free to ask and I can explain why I do or do not take certain talents.
  23. You shouldnt need 2 healers in a HM flash point. Ive done every HM flashpoint short of Lost Island and thats because ive been focusing on pvp lately but anyways there is a reason they think they need 2 healers. Either the tank sucks, their dps sucks, or your healing sucks and they have to make up for one of those things. That is the only reason you would ever need an offheals in a HM flashpoint.
  24. Dont get discouraged about Commando Heals its ok. I either lead the WZ or am close to every game and Im not even full BM or above yet. Yes Commando needed to be nerfed before. I could basically heal through 4 guys beating on me and never run out of ammo before patch 1.2. The only class that gives me trouble is sentinel/marauders but they are OP atm and are giving everyone trouble. Thats why you see alot of WZ's filled with them. The people that say we have no survivability just dont know how to play the class post 1.2 and want bioware to go back to the OP version of medic wich I wouldnt mind but it was obvious we were OP and anyone that says otherwise needs to L2P the class. Usually I dont say that but in this case its true.
