  1. That makes no sense. Hardcore vs casual doesn't mean solely endgame.
  2. Odd, I thought that adding in new ways to get gear, new gear that can be had without raiding hard/nightmare modes, and having the option to make almost any piece of moddable gear best in slot though an augment slot made the game much more friendly to "casual" players. Although, I think the OP is confusing the definition of casual, as so many others do.
  3. Where do you get 1.1 million people quit? The EA earnings calls stated the peak sub number was about 1.7 million in March and we're down to like 1.3 million. Which is still very, very respectable for an online game, especially one with a $15 monthly fee.
  4. No, there's no problem. If the game isn't something you enjoy playing, move on. Stop feeling forced to play a game because you like the ip, in this case Star Wars. There have been plenty of really bad Star Wars games in the past I tried and gave up on because they sucked. There also have been plenty of games that are incredibly popular, like Skyrim that I tried and found out I didn't like the gameplay at all so I stopped playing and went to something different. That's the wonder of having the freedom to choose what games you want to play and spend your money on. You get to switch when you aren't having fun.
  5. You couldn't be more wrong in most of your assertions.
  6. This game needs less cross-forum spam posts. And more Huttball maps. Definitely more maps.
  7. I think you skipped the whole part about server transfers when you were reading about the LFD tool.
  8. So, if we are at war and fighting for control of planets would rock, why should people be wasting their time decorating their houses? Or is the war for fashionable drapes?!
  9. The problem isn't the voice acting. The problem, if it could be called a problem is the reason a person plays the game. Many people find quests, any quests to be just means to get rewards to improve their character. Be it with gear, experience, money, whatever. That's the type of person who wants to speed through quest text and skip the dialog. There's nothing inherently wrong with that attitude and there are plenty of times I myself have that same attitude when playing. I want to get through something quickly to get to something I may find a bit more fun at that time. You just have to realize and accept the fact that voice acting is a core feature of this game and you chose to play that game. There's nothing wrong with the voice acting, and nothing wrong with people who want to skip it. This is the game we play, and the voice acting isn't going away, it isn't affecting development of anything else in the game because it's how the game was designed.
  10. To me, the OP just looks like more and bigger warzones which would be awesome. I always thought RvR was just world pvp with a catchy new name to try and make it seem like something different.
  11. The way I do it is go to the upper right of the screen and click on the little arrow to the left of your account name, it brings up another box. Click on your avatar which brings you to the screen where you select the Statistics tab. You can search for your posts in there.
  12. I'm waiting until Halo 4 comes out. Then I'll take a bit of a break get my Halo fix, then hop right back into SWTOR.
  13. I have to agree with you on the raiding group composition. If raid encounters are made that only require one tank, and actually require substantial dps on the harder modes, a dual spec system is absolutely vital.
  14. If the server capacity was quadrupled (at least) and the number of servers cut in half or even by two thirds, we wouldn't need cross server anything.
  15. I completely disagree. Most games don't have an incredible level of customization, and people become very attached to their characters. Being able to look different from everyone isn't why people become attached, it's due to the time spent playing on that character.
  16. That's not entirely true. I leveled up my first 50 doing all the quests, heroics and running each flashpoint once or maybe twice until I got to Hoth and was mid 40s already. I skipped all the heroics and the bonus series there, skipped a lot on Quesh, and still was at or above level for every planet the entire time. Some of the planets, like Alderaan, Belsavis and Quesh I was two to three levels above the recommended level range.
  17. Have you read what people post in gaming forums? Every single word a developer puts into writing, or speaks in a video is analyzed, dissected, and held as gospel. If something happens to change from the time features are announced until they go live, people freak out. That's why developers have to be vague, because for the most part people don't or refuse to have any understanding.
  18. Because you decided to bump a two week old post, I'm going to answer your post with a quote from another two week old post: From the Q&A, found here on the SWTOR.com website (http://www.swtor.com/blog/community-qa-april-27th-2012)
  19. You can't choose your own points because you chose this game with this particular set of rules. There are other games with different rules that allow you to pick where each and every stat points goes, and also other games that don't allow you to do that, like SWTOR. The stat budget increases according to the particular class you also chose to play when you chose this game.
  20. Why so whiney? A wise man said it best once in a movie:
  21. No not yet, but that would be an excellent idea for the Suggestion forum.
  22. People have become way too emotionally invested in games over the past decade. They feel much too much entitlement solely because they are paying a subscription fee. Many times people want instant and direct answers to every single one of their questions, plenty of them are redundant and/or inane, and if they don't get the exact answer they want the exact instant they ask they claim that game developers are not communicating. It's almost a no-win situation. I don't for a minute believe this game is 100% perfect, but I am enjoying the heck out of it. I see myself playing for a very long time, and I have made a pretty substantial time investment in my characters. I feel that BioWare has been communicating with the players very well, and the unfortunate part of that communication is that so many MMO players these days just have no sense of everything that is involved in online games and are therefor impossible to please, especially on the forums. It's time for people to start getting a lot more realistic with their expectations. It's time for people to really stop and think about what they are reading, and it's time for people to start doing some basic research before asking a question. It's time many people got a clue.
  23. What about the guys on your own team? You said supposedly they are some of the best in your factions, how are your Marauders doing compared to everyone else?
