No, the fact is that if every Sentinel and Marauder was doing much higher damage than every other class, their particular class is overpowered. The fact that as you state one single person is always consistently on top doing those numbers means he's just way better than you.

Well, T7 can use blaster rifles, to technically the Jedi Knight can use the weapon. There does, however, need to be a second layer of need, taking advanced class only into account, then companions, then greed, etc.

Is it only one guy getting those ridiculously high numbers, or every single Sentinel and Marauder on your server. If everyone is getting those same numbers in a warzone, that class is overtuned. If it's only that one Jedi you can't kill, your Imperial best is not quite up to the task then.

You are confusing different types of casual player. The players EA mentioned are the ones who wanted to try this game because it's a new Star Wars game. That's not the same as a SWTOR subscriber who plays casually, i.e. not five hours a night every night. Same thing happens with every big new game, it will happen with Guild Wars 2, with TERA, again when WoW's expansion comes out, etc., etc.

I think it was put on Esseles to give us a sense that there was a lot more to the game world than what we saw on the starter planets, because pazaak is a common pastime on transport ships. The reason we get the message that it's not taking players at this time is to herd us along to the first quest giver, basically saying "hey, dude, you're not here for mindless games, there's something going to happen during this flight". It appears that such flavorings were a bit much to put in everywhere before the game launched.

I play on a RP-PVE server and my guild, which is primarily pve has been growing pretty steadily the last few months!

But you are being considerate by helping out the poor, nearly defenseless NPC! I agree with the OP, healing an NPC that is in combat with another player should flag you for pvp.

Honestly it just sounds like you maybe could use an upgrade or two more, but probably just some more practice with the missions. If you've been a gamer for a long time, I'm sure you're used to some levels in older games that seemed to be unbeatable and just took a lot of time to finally get through, then suddenly they became trivial. That would be a good title for getting all the lore entries in the Codex. There are a lot of lore items out in the world that aren't datacrons.

How does server population have anything at all whether or not an Ops group wants to use voice chat?? Look, if you don't want to join a group that uses one, don't. There will almost always be someone willing to take that spot, no matter what server you play on.

Well, considering the fact that you technically cannot get all the datacrons because some are faction-specific, be happy you get the stat bonus.

Just think how far along you could have gotten with a new character on a higher pop server in that time you sat around today. Prepping for the time when transfers become available by scouting out the community, getting to know some of the players and guilds there, looking at the economy, etc.

One of my old WoW guilds used to do our own version of The Amazing Race, started way back in TBC days. You get a couple of people with unknown alts so no one can type /who and find them, and set them up around the world (in this case galaxy). You have the starting person give out clues to the teams so they race to find the next person, who gives out clues and so on. It was a lot of fun.
