  1. Your English was perfect. In the end all of us commandos chose the wrong class/AC. In a way people on the boards are correct to say that it is basically our fault. If we had looked at the range of classes it was obvious that the trooper was the odd man out, and that is probably why many of us liked it. It was the paladin of SWTOR. It has been treated as that class concept has always been treated.
  2. In my experience to get beyond the 300-350k damage you need to be a vanguard.

  5. You speak the truth here. It should not be a one time switch. It should be open....it will not. And you speak the truth when you say that the nerf bat will hit again. It normally swings when PVPers whine, and this is why a PVP/PVE MMORPG is ****ed from the start of design and the reason I quit MMORPG games previously. Foolish me I thought it might be different with BW. That is my fault. I am much better off playing in an enclosed game system where the rules of the game do not change at the whim of a community or developer.
  6. I sense the old talkess out of one's assess on this one. Sorc feel nerfed LOL. Force users were meant to be the real healers....enjoy killing the game I see. Complaining and whining......hmm Wonder what you would do if you actually did get a nerf that rendered your class useless? NM you won't have to worry about that because you play an imperial....BW loves them....ever wonder why they outnumber the repubs?
  7. So what do you play and why do you feel the commando was OP? Did you have a problem with LOS avoidance? Did you play your class poorly? The numbers in PVP do not prove you to be correct, but facts probably mean nothing to you. I guess you were upset at both the commando healers and gunnys. So don't just say commandos were op tell us how they were OP....you can't because it is not true.
  8. No, I rolled a trooper. A trooper can be commando or vanguard. Both commando and vanguard can be dps. Commando DPS lags far behind vanguard DPS and the hybrid healing ability is no longer worthwhile. So I want to be a vanguard DPS. idiot.

  10. That was the complaint I heard about Grav round, and the reason given for its nerf. But as I play other classes I find many such abilities falling into the 'SPAM' classification. Stuns....seems to be good to hit it everytime it is up. Lightning.....do sorcerer's do anything else? Force leap. PVP I find harpooning is big. Snipers shooting of their big one shot round. Gunslingers seem to always go to cover. Him stealthers always stealth...interesting.

  12. 1.2 has been the single bestest game code I have ever ever seen. What a difference. BW and EA you guys ROCK!!! Oh, and the free month to celebrate your excellence is too kind. That gives me time to roll a new character that might be viable until you decide to nerf it...SWEET! Yeah, it will be imp because Republic toons get rolled....it must all be because Repub players don't know how to play...noobs.
  13. It is not what I have heard, but what I have played, and the numbers crunched against my new dummies. I don't want to play dot master. If I did I would have gone assault. Vanguard DPS did much more damage PVP...and I would assume PVE than pre 1.2 commando. The ability to respect to heals made that acceptable, but now those heals are weak...and compared to other classes useless. So let me be vanguard...what is the harm.....I mean since commandos really weren't affected that much in the first place according to many what would be the harm?
  14. If you use the boom boom round you will eat more ammo more quickly. Since you need to do that to actually provide DPS now you run out of ammo. Look at the costs broadly.
  15. This change has made my gunny into the most fun banker in the game....we get the cool armor and store credits and loot. Tanno still builds the best armormech in the game....who doesn't love talking to Elara, and Our ship droid is AWESOME. Then we get to carry that big gun....yeah it only looks tough, but for a banker looks are enough. With 1.2 I get to put a mailbox in my ship so that makes less moving around and for more fun. I will probably get a ship GTN too...oh the wonderful joy that will bring. With all this new fun for my main class I will be upping for another 6 months at least.
  16. Get some dummies and parse your damage. I guess if you were doing average or below average gunny damage prior to 1.2 you should be doing about the same post 1.2.
  17. I am a PVE fan and only PVP to fill the time. If I were to build an ops or FP group I would never take a gunny or medic....I don't know enough about assault. Low DPS, Healing, plus no interrupt = baggage. Sure a well outfitted team can overcome the weakness of the commando, but why bother. There are better choices out there for healing and DPS. From what I am hearing is that the smuggler is destined to be champ in heals and best dps/heal hybrid.
  18. Killing a healer one on one was hard for me as a gunny prior to 1.2, but the goal was to keep a healer from healing anyone else and I did that quite well. In fact I could shutdown multiple healers this way. That is another problem I have with 1.2 and PVP. WZ is a team/objective game, but now the focus has been placed right back to kills. Senseless PEW PEW, ***. So many games I would be low in the damage standings, but I knew that I helped bring on the win. Now the only thing there is in pvp is to do the most damage and get the most kills. It is all about the glory and not the game.
  19. I really don't believe this had anything to do with spamming grav round. There simply were too many commandos for BW's liking. This explains why medics and gunny got crippled and vanguards and assault were left alone.
  20. 1. Do you notice how BW does not have the balls to show us their hard metrics....it is because the actual damage numbers cannot possibly prove these changes as good changes. 2. Nerfs like these come from PVP and not PVE....whiners. For weeks I have been watching the damage numbers in PVP, and guess what....commandos are not close to being top dog. 3. It really does not explain the nerf to commando healing at all. 4. here is what I think happened.....BW looked at the census numbers and said...wow there are a lot of commandos being rolled for the Repub....and thought they needed to curtail that. 5. There are strats to avoid grav spam and to take out a gunny trooper. There are no strats to avoid being stun locked and burned down to death, but that happens to me every WZ. 6. Funny that there is a severe imp/repub imbalance and yet the heavy nerfs came to repub classes. 1.2 decisions in design shows me that BW is lost, that PVE and PVP don't mix, and that imps are favored. Rename this game to SW Sith of the Second Empire.
  21. healing got the worst of it for sure, but commando is much more than a 10% nerf to grav round. If you did not play before 1.2 and and 1.2 you have no idea of the overall affect. I consider my main which is a trooper commando gunny to be a new AC created as of 1.2. He is my banker mule and daily runner. Unless they reverse themselves....and I have never seen developers do that before......I will never PLAY him again. He is dead to me. As for assault, if I wanted to be a dot spec I would go back and play a WOW warlock or an imp sorcerer. WoW did this all the time to characters I loved. The cause is PVP mixed in a PVE environment. It is also why I gave up MMORPG games. I thought BW in a SW universe just might be different, but I was wrong.

  24. I have plenty of complaints and big QQ, but game patch and downtime is not one of them. BW has done a great job in running a stable game with limited interruption.
  25. So you three are complaining about complaints from complainers.......what you mean is that you don't want to hear complaints about your game/developers. You don't want to even hear the complaints when they are valid...... So go enjoy your game and remember not to complain when some aspect of it that you love is broken by way of improvement.
