  1. I disagree with you, sir. Mainly because, if they nerf Sorcs/Sages, nothing would change, at least for me, or anyone else who understands the class and knows how to play video games (not being arrogant by the way, you just gotta addapt when things change.) Those screen shots are just there because certain individuals only know how to accuse others of being, "bad", while not having an argument to back up any of their claims. As I said, I've played WAR for 3 years, I know and understand what it means to have the game and it's PVP system cater to the elite and the people that can play the most. My guild, Malice, was always the highest geared and highest leveled guild and we'd smash people all day. We do the same thing in SWTOR but.... at some point, those people getting smashed and getting nowhere, they decide to quiet and the game dies, just like WAR did, slowly but surely. I don't want a repeat of that in this game.. That's all. This isn't about, OMG HEALING SUX, which it does. I have plenty of screen shots of me doing 500-700+k healing a game, even in Novara Coast but... it's not effective at all. As soon as a DPS looks at me, all I can do is run for my life and hopefully, try to LoS and heal myself and even then, with the way the healing works now, it's pretty much impossible to keep yourself alive against ONE DPS that knows how to interrupt. Also, the whole deal with the way they implemented the way you get gear and the que system, without releasing the full Ranked Warzone patch, is stupid. As I said above, it resembles WAR and you can't expect people who log on for one hour per night, to actually stick around while they're getting annihilated and get NOTHING for it. Simply, from what I see, even on these forums, most people that dislike the way this new PVP patch was implemented, are the more elite people and more elite guilds. The people saying that, "it's all fine and dandy", are the bads or mediocres, who, again, jump in between 5-6 people and expect to kill their healer in 3 sec, while they stay alive themselves. That's what this game has become now and it's truly sad.
  2. Actually, not even close. I'm this type of player and that type of players, both of those games being PuGs. I'm the dude that rolls in a premade 99% of the time and I'm the guy that 99% of the server hates cuz I'm always top damage and win a lot more then others. Also, no, I've never touched WoW, my 8 years of MMO experience come from playing DAOC and WAR. The difference between me and you is that, while I enjoy winning, I'm not delusional about class balance or where this game is going end up if these idiotic patches continue. I already seen the result of what Dev idiocies can do in my 3 years of WAR playtime and I don't want a repeat.
  3. Let me guess, You're a herpa derp DPS who believes that jumping into the back lines, between 5 people, and killing the healer in 3 sec, is the way a game should work? Yea, if I was you, I'd say that this PVP is totally awesome and I'd also think that this PVP resembles less what they promised but more an arcade type game or some sort of FPS.
  4. This patch is complete and utter crap. This shows nothing but utter incompetence by Bioware, not only that, but that little slick move they did, 2 hrs before midnight the previous day, announcing that rated WZ's won't be in, only pissed my whole guild off. Lets see. 1. Legacy is useless and pointless since 99% of it is purely cosmetic. Not only that but it's about 1/4th the overall stuff they promised in their bragging videos and to buy even the basic things, you better be ready to spam some daily missions for money. Of course, their non-existent economy is to blame for this. What other way is there to spend money in this game then useless crap, so they decided to throw some more useless crap in our faces to spend some more money on. What idiot actually places training dummies in a game, that cost half a million creds, that don't work properly? 2. PVP... is absolutely horrible. After healing for majority of my play time before 1.2, I've just joined the masses and started DPS'ing full time. Never in ANY MMO have I felt so alienated and insulted by the dev team, who show almost no understanding of their own game and how ridiculously difficult it is to be a healer, ranging from ****** medals, way to many stuns and interrupts and overall alienation by anyone who wants to beat you over the head with a glow stick, since they all think that the grass is greener on the other side and one healer should die to them in 3 sec after they leap to the healer. Now, everyone and their mom can basically kill me in seconds, which means that I can't really fight back at all, or can I heal myself, since my heals take so long to cast. Mara/Assassins/PT are doing such ridiculous damage that most people have actually given up on healing as well and we've rolled full DPS parties, which generally net a much higher per cent of wins then rolling with a healer. To say that this patch reminds me of Rift's 1.5-6 and WAR's pathetic patches, would be an understatement. I just can't fathom how they can have actually looked at data and said, "OK", this is ready to roll. 3. Ranked WZ are non-existent. Actually, even with their announcement, mere hours before the supposed release of the patch, I feel totally lied to. This is the only reason my guild has stayed to play this game and of course, it's not existent right now and there isn't a hint from them when it will be. Their pathetic attempt to sort off cool off the situation by giving everyone a free month is nothing more then a admittance of guild before ANYONE said anything to them. They knew this patch was horrible even before they released it. 4. The crafting system... well, this is not new. This was the same exact crafting system that they had in their beta, which they removed because they taught it was way to complicated for their players, which then apparently wasn't to complicated for their players, so now they're re-introducing it as new content. Same applies to, "Match Color To Chest Piece", option, which was in the beta and which is again, being introduced as some sort off new content. I guess the overall mod changes aren't bad but... they totally and completely screw ever ANYONE who doesn't dry hump these forums and read things such as, "having any custom mods means that your gear won't updated", or don't drop your slicing or artifice for biochem because in reality, both of those will be good eventually, while we make biochem the most useless crew skill. 5. PVP rewards are absolutely atrocious. I'm an elite player that plays premade all day, yet I'm disgusted by the way they're treating their loyal and less hardcore customers. Seriously, people who aren't on vent, or can't devote 5-10 hrs of play time per day, get shafted. Even if they have the patience to actually stay in a losing WZ, if they don't manage to pull 8 medals out of their rear, they just basically wasted 15 minutes of their life. This also applies to everyone else, even if doing everything possible to win. You can tie Voidstar and Hutt Ball and if by some chance you get the lesser end of the stick, you get almost NOTHING. What's good in this patch? Really, the new WZ is half decent. However, you can't specifically que for it at all so you're stuck doing the same old Hutt Ball and Voidstar and Alderaan, over and over again, while you're wondering when this and ONLY NEW content will appear. There is nothing fun or good about 1.2. Actually, to me it seems it isn't even 1/8th of the stuff they promised, even the basic stuff... This is sad to see because I've had this feeling that this game is nothing more then Warhammer Online, when it comes to the devs, and they're basically proving me right. Guess it's time to pre-order guild wars 2 to get into the beta weekends.
  5. Maybe, just maybe, in year 2012, the biggest gaming company in the world would actually have a character copy or a template tool. There is no way in *********** hell that after leveling 5 different toons to 50, in the beta, and actually witnessing first hand, their inability to do anything appropriately, that I would ever re-level another toon for testing purposes.
  6. I feel no difference really. I mean, TK Throw/Chain Lighting nerf is somewhat a big deal, mainly because I used it in my main burst rotation but, I never really used it before I used Mind Crush/Crushing Darkness anyways. Spamming that ability to get damage numbers is silly anyways because you're totally useless as a DPS if people aren't dying. All I did was drop TK Wave/Chain Lighting and subbed in Disturbance/Lighting strike in its place. The damage is kinda OK, if you compare it to TK Wave/Chain Lighting of course, but, as a clothy, anything that's instant is golden to me, so the 1.5k-2k damage is nice, after my Mind Crush is on cool down. So basically, this is the spec that I run right now. I have all my CC, which means that I don't die, which means that 99.9% of the time, I'm doing top damage just like before the update. Of course, I'm not someone who just does damage, I do everything necessary to win a game. Here are some SS from yesterday. Voidstar, solo que. Hutt Ball, quing with two other DPS.   8. Idk, I'm not really having any issues with medals. Really, you just have to play right, with all the objective medals being introduced in the game. The game basically forces you to be extremely active when it comes to doing WZs. Being that guy that stands at the Hutt Ball line all day long, might win you the game, but it won't net you any commendations or medals. Running 20 ft in front of the ball carrier sure will, or attacking their ball carrier. I've had quiet a few games like this today. All that needs to happen is for them to increase the rewards for the losing team. This is mainly because some WZs, like Voidstar can be decided by the first door, which of course is basically just the luck of the draw and the team that actually did more to try to win, can get shafted. The other team was nothing more then a premade of Juggies and Marauders, which there is ridiculous amount of as of this patch, using their defensive cooldowns to beat the re-spawn shield. Of course, Hutt Ball isn't any better, especially when PUG'ing. That score is the story of my life when without my premade. I literally do everything, run the ball, heal the carrier, pull the carrier, yet, with a premade on their side, it's pretty much impossible to get any decent rewards even if you put A LOT of work in that game.

  11. Oh, yea, that's really OP. How about tank, guard, DPS on the other hand? Is that fine? How about taunt and challenge when the DPS is getting focused? Is that OK as well? You people are bunch of ******es. I hope to god none of you ever get healed again.
  12. The 1.2 Sage gear is probably the worst looking endgame gear set I've ever seen in any MMO I have played so far. Both sets look over the top ridiculous and I have no idea how anyone from Bioware's art team actually taught they would belong in Star Wars universe. The PVE sets, continues the complete disregard for your male players by providing another over the top, extremely feminine, Brazilian carnival dress style, type of armor, which there is plenty off already. Most of our current PVE gear makes us look like female banana trees for some odd reason and Bioware has managed to continue the trend. The PVP set, is just as mentioned above but with a tarp as a body piece and then, I don't even know what to call it, head piece. Seriously, what is that? Some sorta samurai/beetle/daemon horns style of armor?
  13. This game can't support "ranked" anything. This game rewards playing to die, insted of playing smart. No combat resurrects means that no matter what team composition you have, you'll never be able to fight off never ending floods of respawning enemies, just like now. Really bad WZ mechanics, like NEED to have certain group composition for Hutt Ball, or speeders that take 2 sec to get you back on top of the attackers, or the non-existant individual respawn timers in Voidstar, or just dying not counting towards the end score.. I mean, what's the point of rated when your opponents decide to die 70 times in a WZ and still win it. Till something is done about those things mentioned above, the ratings will mean nothing.
  14. I generally don't ever say anything but if someone starts trash talking in /say while we're PVP'ing, I'll respond like a smart *** and make them even more angry. I've had numerous people who I beat, switch over and talk like they're mad. I've even had a guy nerd rage on me for like 30 min because he claimed, "I try to stay alive to hard".
  15. It's 2012, lol... and a gaming company actually released a MMO without a combat log. That's like a car company offering new model of cars without a god damn speed dial... it's a joke. Also, what the hell is up with no copy character to PTS tool? They make their testing a nightmare and a privilege, by allowing ONLY selected amounts of people to play their fully leveled toons. Seriously, look at what they've done to Ilum and most of their endgame content without any support from people testing the content on properly leveled toons. Karaga's was tested by regular peeps and it came out 100x better then that POS that Eternity Vault is.

  18. So brainless zerg PVP, where suiciding and constant death, to interrupt caps and objectives, makes you more of a "real" PVP player then those who like PVP death match based games? You people, who argue against kill rewards in WZs, make no sense. What's the point of PVP'ing if you can't organize groups to kill, push and cap objectives, properly? Look at the game right now. Alderaan: Most common strategy is to cap two side flags and hold them, while constanly suiciding and dying to prevent the other team from capping. This is made worse by the ability of stealth classes, to stealth up, cleanse all DoTs and sap people, over and over again, to prevent caps. One Shadow, can interrupt caps, over and over again, with almost no risk of dying, while his team respawns from dead, and flies right back into the fray... within 3 fricking seconds. The team that just pushed that side, has very limited time to kill them all, and cap the flag, which is pretty much impossible for the exact reasons I said. No matter what group composition that team has, they get butt punched by silly game mechanic and diminishing combat resources, while the idiots that died 20 times, get no punishment for doing so, and actually get rewarded with a win. Same thing applies for Voidstar and Hutt Ball. Voidstar is nothing more then a huge suicide fest when defending. Most of the time, win/loss is decided by the stupid barrier respawn, which starts at the time when the first defender dies... so, unless you're some sorta Jesus Christ, no way you can time kills to make sure everyone dies at the right time. You can have 60-70 kills in Voidstar and still not win the WZ. Hutt Ball is not any better. It's 100% decided by certain classes, such as Sages, Vanguards and Juggies and if you have a premade that is composed of those classes, you basically get a free win. I already said it before, if each one of your death, gave the other team a base amount of valor and exp, you'd have second taughts about suiciding over and over again, feeding the other team, and even if you win, you get jack **** for it.

  20. Lol, I actually remember you from the brief time I played on Harvesterr on Baddielands. I got him to 80 in two months and then all the destro left so we hit the EU servers.
  21. Warhammer's PVP, especially the world PVP, aka, RVR is 1000x better then anything this game has. The Scenario system, aka, WZ system, is also 1000x better then SWTOR's.. Warhammer is a PVP game, first and foremost, so it caters to people who wanna MURDER the **** out of each other. SWTOR is not. It allows idiots who have no strategy or skill, to actually suicide and die into objectives and win games, as far as WZ's are concerned. I mean, look at the que system. Your fricking group doesn't even stay together after you come out of a WZ. The world PVP is so horrid that they're actually removing it all together. 1.2 is removing all dailies that have to do with Ilum. I played WAR for 3 years and I had the best time out of any game I've played. The server community was amazing, even the casuals, and the overall goal of reaching the opposing faction's city meant that EVERYONE had to work together, especially in the early days of the game. I'm already bored with this game but WAR, at least for me, never got boring. This might have been cuz I played the most gimp class for majority of my play time but I became a legend on the game for it. WAR -Fulkan 80 Engineer -Balmuck 80 Slayer -Harvesterr 80 BW -Captainhawt 100 Zealot SWTOR... Fulkan, 76 Sage and I'm already bored out of my *********** mind.
  22. Warhammer Online WZ system rewarded killing... Each kill neted you base valor and exp so anyone who would PVE and post their screen shots would get laughed at by the community. It was to the point where people who wanted to cap flags all day were left to do do cuz even if they won via suicide and horrible game mechanics, they'd get nothing out of it. This is PVP... Player vs player, not some monkey dry humping his spawn, over and over again, not getting punished for dying 20x, coming down to the points and interrupting caps. I really can't stand this game's casual nature... It's to the point where they didn't even give healers combat resurrects to offset the constant baddies flooding from their spawn camps. I mean, it's so *********** bad that people intentionally suicide, either to prevent a cap down on the other side or deny someone a kill. If each time someone did that, they gave the other team 1k valor, they'd have second taughts about doing it.
  23. Lol, I can't even believe you compared counter strike to this piece of **** game. Well, here is your bomb defusal. One god mode player in CS will in fact beat the living **** out of any team that doesn't know what they're doing, aka, the idiots who suicide in star wars. CS is about SKILLS and killing first, especially individual skill, then team play comes in... but I've seen plenty of pros win games 1v3 in CS easy... and this is in tournaments. I really wanna see the idiots from SWTOR go play some CS with the mentality of dying 20x, only to win cuz of bad game mechanics. It's NEVER gonna happen...
  24. Mara/Sent is a FOTM, to anyone half decent in PVP. When you hit 50, you're hitting 5 DPS buttons + your defensive cooldowns. That's nothing more or less then any other class in the game.
