  1. Basically, that's what's left of the PT/Vanguard community.
  2. First, you guys are NOT sorry for anything. My grandmother, who's never played a game, would have come up with a better constructed and coherent message to your player base. Reading this response, is literally making me wish I didn't resub few days ago, which I ONLY DID, because there was a glimmer of hope left, or at least I taught so, of playing my Powertech again, and feeling like I actually belong on the field with the "other" classes (you know which they are, I don't have to write down anything for you). When I say that, I mean the competitive field, not random pick up groups, with mediocre players. Second, it is beyond ABSURD that you guys claim to have "fixed" anything in 2.4, especially our trees, which you GUTTED a while back, and left us to rot in **** that was up to our neck. Sooo, you know what you did? You took the **** that was up to our necks, and drained it until it was right about waist high, and called it a fix. You didn't fix anything! The idiotic claim that more damage on DoTs, below 30% HP, will fix Pyro is just that, idiotic. While other classes get execute abilities, that literally do upwards of 10k damage per hit, you're giving us a dummy, idiot version, that can be cleansed, only affects our weakest abilities (yea, our DoTs suck massive donkey balls and it's supposed to be our primary mode of damage in that spec). Can't wait for my 3 DoTs to do 150 more damage per tick, while a Mara chucks out 5-7k hits on every execute without even blinking, with horrible gear. The Thermal Detonator "fix" is not a fix. Again, you nerfed it into **** and then buffed the **** by 5%. That's nothing. The slightly increased damage to mid tree, by our harder hitting ability, which is OK, if it didn't suck. Basically, it now does about 6k damage per hit, so we can get our medal, which is offset by the nerfs to our Snare, which we had to overuse to overcompensate for ZERO BURST. What should I follow up my immolate with now? Flame Thrower that SHOULD NEVER hit anyone with a brain cell? Yea, that ability.... Also, stop it with the target dummy thing. Which other class uses their executes on a dummy that's over 30%? Oh, wait, NO CLASS can do that. I remember when your last player stats came out, PTs were one of the least played classes. I'm willing to bet anything, that the numbers are even worse now. You wanna know why that is? It's definitely NOT because of how awesome the Dev team is at keeping the class, and the player base happy. All I ask, OR ANYONE else asks for is to ALLOW us to be on EQUAL footing when compared to other classes. We are NOT right now, and no matter what you say, anyone in their right mind, would pick either a better tank (Juggy/Guardian), or much better DPS (Snipers, Maras), in their team for competitive games. Either allow us to compete, or just fricking delete us, because every single time I play this game, I feel like my class is inadequate, and that feeling SUCKS.
  3. Marauders and DPS in general, out perform healers to such a degree, that people would rather put up with the Force Bubble stuns, then actually die in 3 sec to the DPS. That's sad, and true. Most rated games between really good teams, end up being nothing but a giant squishy kill/trade fest, where the Healers are constantly kill traded, and the tanks/dps just do everything they can to keep the other team from capping objectives while their healers come back. This is process is kinda repeated until one team establishes a minute lead or that one guy that's needed to stop caps, get stuck in the spawn.
  4. I never said I was a PVP god, nor did I say I quit the game, fully that is. However, with many of my friends leaving, the game gets rather bland, even if I'm playing with the remnants of other great guilds. That being said, I'm someone who loves challenge, who loves to compete, and I play with people that are like minded - sooo, generally, I'm that guy who has the top gear, groups and so on. This is pretty easy to do, as many of the people I play with, have been playing with me for about 9 years, starting back with DAOC and then every other MMO that we deem as PVP-centric. I can tell you, that 99% of the really great and competitive guilds, are exactly the same as mine. PVP is not Rocket Science, so your argument is completely stupid. Just because I don't pump out 8+ hours into the game, per day, like I used to when we were going full force, doesn't mean I have any less understanding of higher tier PVP then you. Actually, I'd bet anything that I know 100x more about this game then you, not like that's something to be proud off, lol. I started playing SWTOR in December of 2010, as a closed beta tester, and even back then, the underlying PVP issues were still there, yet they've still done nothing with them. I wish I could copy and paste PAGES upon PAGES of same exact info that people were typing back then, when compared to right now. Yes, many issues in MMO's come from people being bad.. But when someone presents a solid argument, while at the same time understanding their playing limitations, the idiots so spam L2P, look just as that, IDIOTS. I said this once, and I'll say it again. SWTOR is a laughing stock in the MMO community, and no way in hell, anyone takes the PVP seriously. When was the last time you actually saw someone mention SWTOR PVP as great and or competitive to the point where real e-sport teams are considering playing it? Never - because that's what I'm seeing right now. You guys can point fingers and laugh at people but LOL is having multi-million dollar tournaments, and at the same time, GW2 is announcing the same thing.. However, SWTOR devs are spending millions of dollars on useless **** like the Legacy Tree, instead of working on the PVP.
  5. I don't usually get involved in childish squabbles but I have to chime in. 1. The OP is 100% right on each and every point he made... Yea, I know what you're thinking - but you're wrong - I'm no scrubs. My team absolutely dominated Belgot's Beacon and Ancorhead, as Limited Edition and Brutality, to the point where we had no competition left. After the server mergers, we were one of the top 4 teams on PO5, until everyone realized that this game is going nowhere, and almost all of us left. When I say all of us, I literally mean every top team on the server. I do still play this game on occasion, but the PVP is so horrible, I can't stand to play but a few games, even if I'm playing a gear stacked PT that literally 3 shots everyone.. This of course, is with the top guild on the sever as all of us kinda merged together when our main guilds quit. 2. He's right about the CC. Resolve is a joke. It never worked, EVER. What they've done with the recent changes, was to make it completely and utterly retard proof. You don't need skill to chain CC people anymore, and the clutch plays that we used to pull off due to baddies spamming stuns, especially in Hutt Ball, are completely gone. All coordination is taken away, as far as Resolve is concerned, and they've made it so people don't even have a chance to actually do anything when chain CC'ied... when I say do anything, I'm accounting the HUMAN ERROR as far as stuns are concerned. Plenty of times before the update, overlapping stuns would give you a full Resolve bar early in the fight, which would cost the other team the fight, but as of right now, none of that happens. You have take it like a man, no matter what, and this literally means that you stand there, like a idiot, looking at your toon get his *** beat for 8 sec without being able to react.. Which directly leads to the second point. 3. He's completely right about the DPS. The DPS in this game is a joke. When I say that, I mean in a herp-a-derp sort of way. Due to so many baddies crying about healers, TTK in this game is so fast, most people die in one stun lock, and healers can do jack **** about this. This is only made worse by the Resolve system, which doesn't do **** for you as mentioned above, and everyone and their mom only running with Mara/PT/Tankassins. This of course means that calling out targets generally means that they die within a stun. This doesn't change at all when you're doing Warzones against top teams.. Take a look at Alderaan for example - Alderaan Civil War is one Warzone that's decided on kills, which means that having two really good teams fight each other, generally results in nothing but a giant stalemate, in which the DPS trade kills on squishies, and the Tankassing spend their time going in and out of stealth to prevent caps as their teams are coming back into the fight. This might be fun, once or twice, but it does nothing but highlight the stupid, unbalanced game mechanics of the game. Edit: Just wanted to say again, I play a PT. You guys know, that I know, what sort of DPS I'm talking about. Nobody survives more then two stuns when I call out a target. 4. He's completely right about gear and group composition. You guys wanna know why most of the top ranked groups actually dissolve? Because one or two persons leave their team. That's all it takes. If you want to compete against the top people, YOU HAVE TO HAVE a certain composition, certain gear set up and you have to have those people on at the same time.. This does NOTHING to promote the game - nothing at all. Actually, it completely kills it, and you'd have to be blind not to see that for yourself. Our group broke up because our Assassin couldn't play anymore, and finding a person with his skill level and gear was pretty much impossible. Even if the skill level is there, most of the time the gear wasn't, which means that the player couldn't roll with us. This is sad on many levels and it just makes whole guilds and teams leave the game as soon as one of the members gets tied up doing something else. You people can laugh at him all you want, and L2P him all day long.. However, that does NOTHING to change the current situation of the game. It's nice and dandy that you point fingers and tell people to go play GW2, while game such as that, are ANNOUNCING e-sport competition that are doing nothing but making people want to play them. While, at the same time, SWTOR is nothing but a laughing stock in the MMO community, and majority of you are doing nothing to change that. People such as the OP, who are genuinely interested in this game, and provide meaningful and thoughtful feedback, should not be ridiculed and made fun off. He pays his money's worth, he plays the game and he and his buddies give you elitist bastards something to do. You guys need to realize, to have a successful game, everyone should be having fun, not just the people who can pump endless hours into it. Edit, Edit: I actually witnessed the same exact thing happen to WAR. Elitists would not allow proper changes to the game, while the dev team did nothing but listen to the idiots... Either that or they had their heads stuck up their *** just like these devs do. The game slowly died, which is a shame, because I never played a better PVP game. SWTOR can and should shine, and people should be able to PVP in SWTOR for many years to come.. But if Bioware continues to anally abuse their game with these ridiculous and unnecessary changes to the mechanics and classes, this game is going to tank faster then WAR (it actually, probably already is, lo). F2P might be the last hope this game has, and as of right now, I don't think it's gonna do anything to change the PVP scene. Anyone who has played war probably knows me as Balmuck/Fulkan/Captainhawt/Harvesterr.
  6. Except many of us played for 12 months in closed beta, before the game came out.
  7. 99% of the stuff you wrote here is weird game mechanics, or bugs that happen when players leap to one another, while being pulled or pushed by the enemy. Giving bunch of scrubs, like yourself, the power to decide who gets penalized is a horrific idea..
  8. This strategy makes no sense... What would you gain from doing this? First off all, every time you drop a WZ, you lose a ridiculous amount of rating. It doesn't matter if you leave the actual WZ or just skip the pop, the rating loss is automatic. If they do manage to do what you said, then they'd LOSE 5-6x more rating then they would gain by winning against their own guild. Don't forget, the losing guild side would also lose some more rating for that game as well. If you wanted to level out the playing field, and be smart about it, you'd either farm rater comms all day or spam regular WZs all day with your 4 man. Losing games to a legitimated rated team, and still gaining comms for 8 medals, would be 100x more efficient then trying to match against your guild, to do the same exact thing, lol. You can't farm rating like this, there is no way... The gear farm is also very bad. You literally have to be completely stupid to do this... either that, or you're just so bad, that losing 100 rating to just play your own team, and have them lose to you on purpose, is some sort of a weird fetish.
  9. Gotta love the baddies claiming that level 50 PVP is unbalanced, so they get their toon to 49, fully augment it, have 20k HP and then make the level 1-49 PVP unbalanced. Bunch of hypocritical, butt hurt, sore loser, D-bags, I say.
  10. 149.99$ for CE.. 14.99$ since day one of the game... For what? To have the game reduced to nothing and offered at 14.99 for people to come and troll on, and pay to win? This is like a giant slap in the face from Bioware and after DA2/ME3...and now this, I'm basically at the point where I'm seriously thinking about not buying any other game by Bioware. If you guys are gonna be bunch of selfish, self absorbed, money grabbing d-bags, who don't LISTEN TO ANYTHING ANY OF YOUR PLAYERS AND FANS ARE SAYING then I'm not going to support you anymore. Shame on you Bioware.
  11. Get your Sentinel to 40.... and at that point, you'll become god. Sentinels, unlike snipers, are very late bloomers. They get all their CC/utility/survival abilities right up to level 20, while your Sentinels main survival abilities are high 30s.

    Fulkan

    Lol, you're a creeper.
  13. Lol, this was somewhat entertaining.
  14. Funny how CC in GW is no different in SWTOR.. Actually, being chain CC'ied in that game is a lot worse, since one 3 sec stun is more then enough time to take half your opponents HP. Also... how the hell can you complain about Marauder when GW2 Warriors have Ravage, on 10 sec cooldown, that hits like 3x as hard.. GW2 is a good game but the points you brought up are bad... I think GW2 CC is even worse then SWTOR atm, lol. Edit: If anyone thinks otherwise, go ahead and do a 5v5 tournament and play against somewhat decent opposition... The game is nothing but a stun fest when people are focusing targets.. and it ain't no different then SWTOR.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  16. Funny story: I'm quing some Warzones on my level 40 Marauder alt. Of course, at that level - Mara is pretty awesome to play and I'm having a great time beating on people who have no idea how to play the game... but this one incident from yesterday stood out. I'm middle in Alderaan and I notice a OP stealth up and head towards our side flag. At that point, we had some other incoming middle so we killed him, and as soon as they were dead, I dropped down from mid to help out the side flag. Of course, as I'm walking towards the flag, our defender (melee OP), seems completely oblivious to the giant beam of blue light that's behind him capping the flag. I call that out, but it's to late, since the guy caps the flag.. and as soon as that happens, the guy guarding the flag says, "That's BS, I was looking at this thing the whole time, this guy is obviously hacking." I clearly remember my statement, which was, "No such things as hacks in this game, only bad players who can't play." We did win that game but not without that guy constantly crying and complaining the whole time... and after the game was over, he sent me a tell saying that I must be one of them hackers and cheats, since I'm defending them so much. I've played this game since the early beta tests.. and I've continued playing it up until now, with the best guilds and best PVP groups on each of the servers I was on. I can say that ONLY ONCE did I see someone hack, and that was a level 37 Assassin on Ilum, who was obviously abusing speed hacks just cuz he could. I didn't really mind, I found it amusing and even tried to race with him on my speeder. I just think that people who have no comprehension of game mechanics, or any sort of idea on how to PVP, or maybe the unwillingness to learn or admit that they aren't all that great... well, they tend to have this sort of mentality that no matter what, only way people beat them is through cheating. Feel free to ask the kids that my team 6-0'ed in Hutt Ball the other day in about 3 min. Apparently they all reported us because their brains couldn't figure out that our Juggy was interceding to a stealth-ed Assassin... not to "ghosts" as they were saying.
  17. Or you can do 500k damage in a Hutt Ball, while constantly pulling, killing and harassing their ball carrier, while helping your team control middle for an easy pass towards their goal line. Not sure how many of you people do rated... but 99% of Hutt Ball wins are achieved through mid control. You can have Jesus running your ball. but if you can't get to mid and pick it up, you might as well just stay in your spawn and let the other team win cuz you're gonna get farmed.
  18. Score board means everything... Simply, if I see you in 50 different WZs and you're constantly putting up horrible numbers, no matter what your little delusional mind wants to tell you, you're fricking horrible. If I'm putting up 450k damage per WZ, with 10k+ objectives , while other DPS aren't... then they're doing something wrong. Not to mention, 99% of the time, the people who aren't putting up the numbers generally don't even have 1/3 the objectives. I do understand people who guard one side, Voidstar, Alderaan or NC and generally always MVP vote them, but majority of the time, when in a PUG, most people don't put up any sort of numbers at all.. and, it's this sort of mentality that stops them from improving in the video game.. Maybe, next time you're looking at the score board and there is a guy putting up 3x your damage, you might wanna talk to him. instead of thinking for yourself, this guy is a elitist snob who's just there to fluff his numbers.. Most of those elitist snobs end up with best premades in the game and win the most ranked WZs.

    Respawn stuck.

This really sucks with it happens in rated but lately, I've been face planted by Guardian's Force Push, only to get stuck in the face down animation. /stuck didn't work at all, nor did dying... actually, if I was in combat and I tried to /stuck. the game would re-spawn me dead and I'd get booted out. We lost two games like this... and I lost about 40 rating due to this ridiculous bug that's been present since the beta.
  20. 8 megabits - 1 megabytes, so having 100 megabits download speed would technically mean that your download speed is 12.5 bytes. The really, really, REALLY sad part about net speeds on the USA... most countries offer faster net speeds for free. South Korea for example... they offer up to 100 megabits for free, and even offer upwards of 1 gigabit for paying customers. I'm from Bosnia and my cousins, living in a third world country, have higher net speed for 1/100th the price then I can EVEN get in the stats without paying hundreds of thousands of dollars.
  21. I'd have to say that Raggok has skill actually.. I loved the vid and most of those kills and knock backs were clutch as hell..
  22. No way you can sell them or make any profit.. Why would anyone buy them for Creds when you can buy them for 10 WZ comms. Idk, I'm just kinda lost when it comes to this change, lol.. I wonder, did ANYONE at Bioware actually bring up this point?
  23. How Bioware can sit there and ruin a craft is beyond me. However, I don't necessarily care because it's their game and their jobs are on the line.. But seriously, I just wanna know, what kinda of human being, with a brain, implements this as some sort of excuse for absolutely making a craft useless piece of ****: 1 WZ HP stim = 10 WZ comms 1 WZ adrenal = 10 WZ comms 1 PVP crafting box = 1000 WZ comms = 30 WZ adrenals and or 30 healing stims So, if you want to buy 30 from a vendor, it will cost you 300 comms, but if you want to craft them, you have to spend 1000? Some guy was saying that they're supposedly just a bit better then the ones that you buy, but at that cost, being 3x better would be the only justification I can see..

    Razer Naga

This isn't the mouse, that's the game.. Only way you're going to fix that is to spam your default movement keys on your keyboard.. I
  25. Lol, I'm glad to see you still around. Are all the Munshara guys still playing? Also, I said that I destroy Marauders on my PT, and I'm not even joking. Most Mara players are so cocky and so unaware what's going on around them, they tend to get blow up before they know what hit them. You know what they say, you don't player hate on the player, you player hate on the game... Which of course means that everyone and their mom cries, NEEERRFFFF.
