  1. As a previous hybrid sorcerer 13/11/17, I am trying to find a new groove to get into with my sorcerer. I use to love my full hybrid because even though not overpowering in any area, I was very well rounded with being able to throw out decent heals and dps in pvp and pve. On pvp I always hit the 250K for both dps and heals, and loved the versatility in the style. Now with 1.2 I am having trouble adapting to a new game style. There is the full madness of 3/7/31 whith using dots. I am sure it throws out much damage if you cycle affliction around, and you can cc opponents in hutball on firepits with creeping terror, not sure how well with fighting 1 on 1 however. I have also heard that with death field and paracitism you can easily hit 75K heals on your self in a pvp match, is that true? Then you have the other hybrid of 0/16/25. I have not tried it but I heard you cast FL to get wrath, on single target you utilize CD and multiple fire Lightning Strike to get lightning storm which allows you to instant cast Chain Lightning (max 5 targets at 1500 dmg is 7.5K damage). I also heard with Lighning barage when you FL fires fast, to quickly tap FL again and you will actually cast a 2nd FL fast again (double dipping the FL fast cast). So with that ability you are probably hitting your target with 2 FL in the span of 1 (6K damage in under 3 secs) every 10 seconds) http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZbcdMdRZcMfRsMkr.1 Then with 0/13/28 is the same as above without Lightning barage, and you go up higher on madness. How effective is throwing lightning strike to get proc for cl? I have never really used LS for it seems to have long casting time for weak damage, and do you get chain lightning proc often enough to make it worth while? So which do you guys prefer. It seems to me that with madness you can throw out many dots on targets, you might be able to regerate decent health (need to get confirmed if its true you get that 75K heal medal in pvp). 0/16/25 seems to be very versatile, while your dots are weaker with lack of madness, I can see the benefit of ligtning barage to throw 6K+ damage fast as well as chain lightning on groups for large burst damage. While 0/13/28 you still throw chain lightning, and your dots and CD have more damage with deathmark and other madness benefits. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also Damn you BIOWARE for nerfing the healer so much. Come on no fee consumption anymore, are you nuts. How are we suppose to heal others when after 30 secs in ops boss battles we are out of force and worring about healing ourselves to from consumption, bad call (I play full healer in pve some times).
  2. Thanks for reply. For those that criticized my damage, that is because lots of the time I am playing the match, hiding in wait to pull ball carrier, or have it passed to me, as well as chasing our ball carrier playing the role as a healer, healing the ball carrier. If I went for pure high damage values I was easily hitting 400K+. I am planning to try full maddness spec and just gonna have to teach myself the new play style of using dots (hard to change play style after months on a routine .) Thanks for the advise, as I am sure many sorcerers are just not use to having to change play styles that we got so use to utilizing. 2nd Quesiton as a previous Madness spac sorcerer, shouldnt your dps be better with the wraith incrasing CD by 20% which it previously didnt? Or is there another change in 1.2 I am not aware of?
  3. First I was a full heal/lightning/madness hybrid sorcerer. Use to wrath/cl on groups, wrath/crushing darkness and cl on solo, while able to speed heal with dark infusion while even in fights. I LOVED my hybrid, so much fun to play managing so many aspects in pvp. I would easily get every match the following medals, while also winning the match for my team: 1. 2.5K heal 2. 5K heal (recklessness and force adrenal on dark infusion) 3. 75K heal 4. 2.5 Damage (recklessness and force adrenal on chain lightning) 5. 75K Damage 6. 10 kills 7. 25 kills 8. quick draw kill on top of defender medals, solo medals ect. Now post 1.2, sorcerers lost the ability to speed fire dark infusion, we lost our only chance of instant aoe dps with chain lighting. Now we lost our burst damage in cl, lost heals, I am at a loss how to play after playing same style for months. Previously I always got 200K-250K damage, with 100K-200K heals per match. Now as the lightning and madness mix, going up madness minus creeping terror, I am having trouble getting medals. How to get 75K heal? How to get 25 kills? How to get 2.5K damage? And I am averaging only 100K - 150K damage. I am at a loss how to play pvp as a sorcerer now, how to get large damage, how to get more then 4-5 medals. Very unhappy with bioware, ready to move on to another game
  4. Wow thanks for the advise. Now after a few days of playing and re-specing to full hybrid, I am a pro at pvp, usually in the top tier with mpv votes. Your right this is a great build. I can easily get the following medals: EASY MEDALS 1) 2.5 Heal (easy) 2) 75K Heal - Just pop some heals and only takes 1-2 mins (easy) 3) 2.5 Damage (easy) 4) 75K Damage (easy) 5) 10 Kills (easy) MODERATE MEDALS 6) 5K Heal - popping Recklessness and Rakata Triage (moderate - have to do it several times to finally hit the 5K mark) 7) 25 Kills - I try to get 75K heals first, then go all out on damage point hitting the 75K then eventually hitting the 25 kill mark. HARD MEDALS 8) 5K Damage - So far I have been only able to achieve this once using reck and Force stims. 9) 1k Defender Points - I usually get this by accident not trying to go for it. 10) Solo Kill - I usually dont go for this, just get it by accident. I cant wait to finish my Champion Gear (I hate you gear bags, in 12 gear bags so far, never recieved a single piece of armor), and then to Battlemaster Gear. Thanks for the advise.
  5. Hello, I am am Level 50 but new to PVP. What is the best way and spec to get more medals in PVP so speed up commendations. I can get the 2.5K heal, 2.5 Damage, and finishing blow medals, but that is usually it. I try to kill more, but I usually end up dieing as well. What else could one do to get more medals. I am currently trying pure madness spec. Thanks.
  6. I am sure we are all tired of getting GRAY QUESTS. My question is what makes a quest GRAY? I am tired of completing quests while they are green, I go off and complete another mission, and on my way to turn in my previous quests for my rewards, they turned from Green to Gray. What makes them Gray so we know when to turn them in, prior to them turning Gray. Thanks.
  7. I am currently lvl 20 Sith Sorcerer with Biochem. When crafting I have Khem and the droid constantly doing Diplomacy missions to get purple items like Alien Blood (Grade 1 medical) but I never get it to craft reusable health kits. I went from Diplomacy 87 to 142 now and still have not gotten a single one. Am I doing something wrong?
  8. I have 2 points in Parasitism "Causes critical hits from periodic damage abilities to restore [0.5 / 1]% of your total health" however I never see myself gain any HP? I utilize crushing darkness and Affliction (currently lvl 20) as my periodic damage attacks but no HP gain. Do I need to increase my Critical Hits? How do you increase your critical hit % Thank you.
