  1. What Van/PT really need, the single change that would fix all problems across the board for PVE and PVP is a second shoulder cannon.
  2. Didn't see any posts about it, so I decided I'd post what I personally want to see added to the game in SoR. Wishlist: 1. All missions listed in the appropriate crew skill, having to log back in and out regularly or change areas to force the missions to cycle is really annoying. 2. A new companion with a quest chain in the HK51 style. I really like Treek, she has a lot of personality and is pretty useful, but I would have liked more questing done, maybe you and her have to team up to take down some special foe or target. Then at the end she offers a permanent contract to you for her price, obviously that price wouldn't be as high as the 1mil. Not that I'm complaining about the cost, I would have preferred quest + lower cost instead of just forking out x amount of credits. 3. I love that you're adding a class story mission. I know that the community has been asking for it, while I'm certain it's not as much as most folks (including myself) want, it's definitely a nice gesture. My main wish is that our decision has some influence on the dialogue for the larger planet stories so it doesn't feel totally throw away. 4. Rocket boost not to fade when you enter combat. If you're going to allow enemies to knock us off our mounts, give rocket boost a damage threshold. 5. A clear set % on how much damage we need to take before we can be knocked off our mounts. I've had it where repeated ticks of a 100 damage poison when I had 8k HP would blow up my speeder every time. 6. I am fine with no dual spec, but the ability to save spec loadouts instead would be much appreciated. Things I know won't happen but want anyway: 1. A new class. I've already leveled every class (empire and republic) to cap before the 12x exp was even implemented. I really want a new one to play, I don't care what it is at this point. 2. Legacy wide datacrons. 3. A new species. I'm not sure how successful cathar were but I'd love some new race to play. 4. Ability to enter phases in combat, I feel as though this should have been in the game since day 1. 5. Non-player enemies no longer able to knock you off your mount. I feel the dismounting is an obsolete mechanic, everyone I see get dismounted by NPC's just keeps running anyway until they get out of combat. That however, does not apply to players on PVP servers like myself, by all means players should be able to knock players off their mounts.
  3. +1 to this. Unrelated: Maybe I should add the military service thing to my sig also?
  4. I like the crafting in this game, when I don't feel like dailies I just switch between various alts, monitoring crafts, sending out companions, REing items, and crafting things to sell on the GTN, I can spend hours just doing that to kill time all while watching tv or something, I love it.
  5. I went to belsavis and got the audio, my mistake, it was a squad: Imperial: "Next! Name, please." Kateo: "Kateo." Imperial: "Let's see—ah, there you are. "Killer" Kateo, butchered an entire squad of Republic soldiers with…a shiv?" Kateo: "That's me." Imperial: "Someone get this man a blaster! Welcome to the Imperial Army, Kateo. If there's anything else we can get you—maybe something dull and rusty?—just ask!"
  6. I assume any new companion would need to be a character that we interact with across all classes so it would have to be from the planet stories and since it limits certain characters that won't come back from the dead it leaves the pickings a little slim, but a few characters come to mind. 1. Lieutenant Rutau on Balmorra. 2. C-86 on Alderaan 3. "Killer Kateo" on Belsavis. That's it for empire, I don't remember many of the republic npc's so I'll just list some general companion ideas I've had. 1. A plain grunt republic or imperial soldier, no high rank or ambitions, just a plain old soldier there to do a job. 2. Another neutral merc, a Gamorrean bodyguard/hired muscle sort. 3. A force using companion for a non-force using class. Something we haven't had yet for a companion though like a Kel'dor. 4. A twi'lek dancer (male or female depending on your preference) for your ship that entertains/crafts for you. 2V/C2's devotion gets a bit annoying at times. That's all I can think of offhand.
  7. It should go to whoever had the name longest overall. I lost several of my names from the first initial server merge and couldn't get them back, unless those people all typed in those names on wave 1 of early access (I was in wave 1 of early access and immediately created characters with all the names I wanted to use so no one else could) then I should have been able to take them back for myself since I had seniority.
  8. Just buy treek some blues off the GTN for tanking or healing (whichever you prefer) and she'll be good to go right away. Her base stats are higher then the other companions so she can hold her own even in blues unless you have a companion that's in full raid gear to use.
  9. As long as it's not some huge overarching threat that forces the factions to work together to solve the problem before going back to fighting, I prefer the makeb style where despite a common enemy the two factions remain at war with each other. If they do add another huge overarching threat (the whole rise of the hutt cartel and the cz198 thing don't really count as huge to me, the hutt cartel's rise really seemed like a minor inconvenience since we killed their two leaders in short order) I hope it comes with a new faction to gain rep with, one new playable race for empire/republic each with voice acting totally different to the ones we have now, and a new class or two. I can dream can't I? =(
  10. I agree dailies are not new content, they are just something to do. The aurora cannon for example should have been a one time quest with other unique storyline quests in section X leading up to an epic 4m phase that could be duoed or done with three people without needing 4 actual bodies to do it with dailies afterwards explained as "cleaning up" the area. I like the story behind CZ198 and even the context they gave us for why we are there, plus I actually like the rewards offered by the rep vendor and the two fp's are a nice way to gear up various alts also. The problem I have with new story content is that once you finish there the entire zone becomes abandoned, no reason to return there and nothing else to do besides FP's or PVP while your various crew skills are going. Maybe now would be a good time to start adding some sandbox elements so the players have something to mess around with in the meantime, not sure what mind, but it's a thought.
  11. Only if we can have the over the shoulder mantle from when he is walking in the Deceived trailer that covers the front of the body. It will never happen but I can dream right? =/
  12. Normally I would agree, but Treek is a mercenary and mercenaries fight for pay. In this particular scenario I'd say paying for her makes sense.
  13. Does Treek have her own companion story like HK also?
  14. An option to increase speed is definitely needed and while they are at it they need to remove the whole dismounting thing, give us faster speeders and don't allow us to get knocked off of them and the whole thing will be perfect. =) Edit: By "needed" I mean it would be a nice credit sink, something the game definitely needs more of.
  15. 1. More class/companion stories. 2. Different racial stances and fighting styles. (i.e. less shared animations between one handed and two handed sabers, in lore sith purebloods are almost exclusively left handed, option for sorcs/sages to not draw their lightsaber at all, a cathar marauder using different animations compared to a human or a twi'lek). 3. Faster release of new content. Honorable mentions: guild capital ships and personal starship customizations.
  16. It's been in the game for a while, some people complained about getting rid of it as they did not like it, then BW did indeed get rid of the laugh from the TA proc but the response to it was so negative that BW reimplemented it again. It's here to stay. =) Here's the patch note, it got put back in 2.0
  17. This. If you don't take off her collar you can't complete her story. I do agree the story is incomplete, would have been nice to have the option to leave the collar on and complete her story.
  18. Always the first time through, after that depends on how much I like the cutscene if I'll watch it again.
  19. The problem with small team arena combat is that it puts class balance under a microscope, the QQ for pvp is always bad don't get me wrong, but this shall likely make things even worse.
  20. My eyes! The goggles they do nothing!
  21. Really appreciate the open communication, it's not much, but it means a lot.
  22. 1. I am a Sith from the Empire, I would like to join Czerka because I feel that they will be able to provide me with more opportunities than the empire ever could, not only that but I am an experienced cybertech with knowledge in making a huge variety of droid parts with knowledge in droid construction, in addition I am familiar with both advanced biochemistry, and weapon and armor construction. An employer that can appreciate such skills is an employer that will have my utter loyalty for the rest of my days, in addition I have significant combat skills as I have fought against republic and imperial divisions along with several very powerful sith and jedi, when you hire me you have a quality craftsman and combat capable employee that will not hesitate to defend company assets. 2. On taris after some harsh dealings with the republic high command there I learned that the republic began a new energy project called project siantide, rather than kill them in cold blood I instead sent them to the empire where they were happy to share information with us in regards to their new project. On Quesh I convinced a member of the three families to help the empire and provide us with a fine price on combat adrenals securing a deal to aid the empire in combat. Then on Belsavis I helped in the recovery of the entire HK production line remaining along with obtaining all the parts to reactivate one, I have since reactivated several and could easily provide czerka corp with the location and resources necessary in obtaining several of their own, for security enforcement of course. 3. I am more then happy to do whatever it takes to get the above goals done, but it is more important to see the bottom line, certainly the republic generals could have been executed but they had valuable information, business must always come before pleasure. On Quesh the hutt saw the empire as a better deal along with my talents of negotiation. While recovering the HK unit required a combination of combat skill, patience in searching for his lost parts, and coordination of strike teams to obtain the parts necessary from areas I could not handle by myself. 4. I do have a moral compass, in the sense that I won't just kill someone if they are still of use or potential value, it is never wise to waste a potential asset unless the drawbacks of that asset outweigh the benefits, in most cases for my experience that is not the case. But if I am required to do something questionable for my employer I would happily do so, my loyalty and the wellbeing of my organization comes first. 5. My first goal in such a situation is the benefit of czerka, I would immediately inform my colleague and security of a potentially tragic crisis, then immediately speak to my supervisor about what I noticed in the hopes that such a matter could be prevented in the future. Securing the experiment should be the scientists first priority, not the selection of delicious amenities provided by our most generous employer.
  23. Ganking is technically pvp and I agree that it's not cool, however, that is the fate you chose when you rolled on a pvp server, the possibility of a bunch of high levels rolling through your questing areas and giving you a hard time comes with the territory. If you're being camped switch to an alt for a little while and move on, otherwise just let your character stay dead and head out for a bit, go watch a movie, play a console game, etc. It's a jungle out there on pvp servers, kill or be killed, no mercy given or asked for, if you can't handle it then server transfer. Edit: I play exclusively on pvp servers, I've been ganked and done my share of ganking, had people rage at me, camp me, and done the same back. That's just how it goes.
  24. Who doesn't love smacking the loot giraffe twice a week!?
  25. If the majority wants to skip you skip, if they don't want to skip you don't skip. Don't be selfish, one way or the other.
