  1. The one thing I most want to know: How exactly did the exploiters figure it out? That's what I'm wondering. Did someone buy a stack by accident and only use part of it?
  2. I am inclined to agree with this. Not that I think it's cool to gank with 30+, but that's the risk you take when you play on a pvp server. There is always a chance that you will get jumped and camped by roaming death squads with nothing you can do but medcenter or log over to an alt for a while. That's just how it goes. I do agree with making the base on yavin a sanctuary though, quest hubs should always be a sanctuary regardless of server type.
  3. I am having this issue as well, it only worked correctly once, now it's not working when I'm trying to get the weekly done.
  4. Well said. These quests need a significant boost to their exp. Edit: The respawn on the named monsters is too long as well.
  5. The only thing the cross guard needs to be perfect is a lens flare.
  6. Eh I'm honestly expecting the servers to not be up until 7:30am-8am or maybe even later. I mean it's not the first time they would interrupt prime time play for several hours to implement a major patch, Rise proved that. I'm just a little surprised they aren't doing it again.
  7. From the notes that day: On April 8th at 6PM PDT (April 9th, 1AM GMT) all game servers, SWTOR.com, and the launcher will be unavailable as we perform scheduled maintenance. Game Update 2.0 will be implemented during this downtime. Details are as follows: Date: Monday April 8th- Tuesday April 9th Duration: 6 hours Time: April 8th, 6PM PDT (April 9th, 1AM GMT ) – April 9th, 12AM PDT (7AM GMT)
  8. That's what they did for Rise of the Hutt Cartel. The 2.0 patch and maintenance did that so those of us that pre-ordered could get to Makeb at midnight on the release day.
  9. No I wasn't. Edit: If I was I'd have said "disappointed at no hard copy."
  10. Even when it's all digital, most content goes live at midnight on their release day.
  11. That's how it usually is for most releases of games and xpacs.
  12. Just sayin' I really hoped there would be one but alas, no deal.
  13. Enjoy: He manages to make the crossguard lightsaber even more amazing.
  14. You did the right thing OP. I have the same philosophy as a few other posters here as a tank, namely "you pull it, you tank it." Let them die a few times and they either learn their lesson or leave the group, it usually works out.
  15. FYI, in the future so you know, if someone locks you out of this first boss, you can move a good distance back. When the rakata mob does his random target, if you're far enough away it will forcefully reset the encounter.
  16. Trooper was one of my favorite stories to play through for some of the reasons listed above, it felt like a good action movie to me with some tough choices you have to make when it comes to the mission vs your conscience. The asteroid scene, the end of belsavis, the end of chapter 1, and your final cutscene if you made the LS choice on the last boss of ch 3. However, of all 8 stories I put Trooper at a solid fifth place, the reason for that being the ending. It just left me so unsatisfied overall.
  17. Clearly the solution to this is to give Juggernaut a shoulder cannon.
  18. PVP servers are definitely not for everyone, not everyone is willing to handle the fact they can be jumped by a bored high level or a stealther at anytime anywhere and then either have to run back or wait the rez timer, worse so if you're getting camped by that person who had a bad day and decided to take it out on you. As far as PVP servers go I have to say swtor is much more tame than I am used to, on most of the planets the areas are pretty separated, a person will really have to go out of their way to go gank someone. I imagine most people prefer the PVE servers, it's nice being able to go afk out in the world without worrying about being jumped while you're afk (assuming you picked a good spot and don't get jumped by enemies of course). I've been playing on pvp servers for years, I think the constant having to be on guard and aware of your surroundings at all times makes you a better player overall, especially in any sort of large group content (PVE or PVP).
  19. Forget Malgus! More Darth Marr and Lana Beniko! I happen to really like both.
  20. That's a good estimate imo, thanks for the update.
  21. So I know the dps issue has been brought up and discussed to death, but what about the hp growth from 55-60? Has that been brought up at all? I've been wondering, I recall at level 50 in the best gear tanks were sitting at something like 23-24kish hp while at 55 in the best gear (without hp augments) it's 42-44k right now. Will we be seeing another 20k increase in hp? Will it almost double again and take us in the 70-80k+ range? I'm hoping the increase won't be so exponential.
  22. I would adore a new companion for the xpac, going by what we've gotten so far, we've had a melee/ranged dps (HK jumps between both with some of his moves), a tank/healer hybrid which I believe is better at healing (in my opinion anyway, I've had better luck using Treek as heals), and so all that remains is a Tank/DPS hybrid. As to what it could be? I don't know, the Gamorrean someone mentioned earlier sounds good but then something occurred to me. Since we're going to Yavin 4, why not the Massassi Warriors we're supposed to meet there? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Massassi I could easily imagine some powerful Massassi warrior pledging itself to your character out of respect for their power and taking the role of Tank/DPS class, seeing itself as your character's loyal guardian. It could easily work with any class that way, just a thought.
  23. Oh I don't care if it's changed, it doesn't bother me one way or the other. I just thought it was funny and wanted to post it.
  24. If not tell that to this guy and all the other Jedi guards in this camp. http://postimg.org/image/sw93m976z/ http://postimg.org/image/qldwv335r/ http://postimg.org/image/i4h4yoebz/ Pretty sure it's a bug, all the jedi NPC's are like that in this outpost. I never noticed it until now, for some reason I find it strangely amusing.
