  2. Not my question, my question is: can those of us that pre-ordered and get in on the 9th access Makeb right at midnight on the 9th?
  3. Just saw the maintenance post, but it only said 2.0, not if Makeb is going to be live right away.
  4. As the thread title states, come Oct 9th I'm wondering if those of us that pre-ordered will be able to have access at midnight for the xpac, allowing us to get in and start playing immediately once the clock changes over. I apologize if this has been answered already, but I haven't seen any info related to this quite yet. I'm hoping for an official answer but if anyone has some info I'd be very grateful.
  5. I usually end up force charging right back and keep attacking before I realize he went immune. I play a jugg tank, when I get knocked by anything my first instinct is to hit my force charge button to get right back in the fight, it's just a habit.
  6. I've been complaining about this bug for some time, on the picture they have of it on the banner on the main page it even has the bugged version of the skiff there rather then the correct one. I hope they fix it soon or add it to the known issues.

  8. It's not making the game easier, you still have to do the work to get them in the first place, that should be enough.
  9. I posted a thread about this, but the things I want are still not implemented so I'll repost it. So with Makeb approaching I decided I'd make a post about several quality of life and convenience changes that should be added and my reasoning for doing so. 1. Ability to send at least 6 companions out on crew skills at 55. I understand the idea of leaving us at with at least one companion to quest with but with HK added we now have an extra body to use for various crew skills missions, it leaves me with an extra companion sitting around doing nothing. This should be implemented for players that are level 55 or a purchasable unlock for f2p. 2. Ability to dismiss/summon companions in combat. Let me preface by saying we should only be able to do this once while in combat, i.e. can only summon once or dismiss once, not both. This is mainly because if you send your companion out to sell trash items, when they are done, you can't summon them back while you're in combat, so if you want to keep going you have to pause rather then just keep going with your companion jumping right back in to battle when they return. Summon if our companion is gone and we get aggro and the ability to dismiss the companion in case they bug out (which they still do) and start fighting an enemy in the ground or nowhere on my screen that I can see. 3. Remove orbital stations entirely. This is just needless busy work, move the questgivers on orbital stations for the various planets (hoth, belsavis, voss, etc.) and just put them on the surface. 4. Allow us to enter phases in combat. We should have always been able to do this, I don't understand why we can't, we should be allowed to just run past the mobs in front and go directly in to our phases. 5. Remove the ability for players and monsters to knock you off your speeder. Again something that should have been done ages ago, the whole "excellent protection from being knocked off" hardly applies when a stiff breeze can knock you to the floor not to mention if you get knocked off your mount in combat your buffs are NOT applied to your companion when they appear. Again, when there are planets that have no clear path between objectives (voss and belsavis come to mind) we should be able to just run through without having to worry about getting knocked off our mount. On the subject of monsters: 6. Tone down/remove the ridiculous amount of enemy knockbacks (especially the knockbacks), stuns, and snares. Certain enemy types like nemesis, harbringers, anti armor sentries, flame infused, and pyromechs have a very large number of aoe knockbacks that severely hamper melee players but ranged players (especially ones using a melee tank companion) never have to worry about them ever if they play their class correctly. Rather then adding more give us mostly melee focused players a break by either A) removing them entirely (the best solution honestly) B) give them a long enough cast time so we can stun/interrupt or C) add resolve to PVE, i.e. once non-champion/boss monsters knockback/stun/snare you, you become entirely immune to them until you're out of combat with that monster. 7. More ship customization and in that sense I mean, if we have invested in the full level 7 ship upgrades, I would like the exterior of my ship to reflect that, heavier looking body, a little more bulky in appearance, larger guns, etc. A level 1 ship should look different to a level 3 or a level 5, etc. While I could go on, the above are the changes I feel are most needed.

  12. They said the companions will have "chirps," that is to say when you enter an area and they will make a comment about it. I.E. what the starter republic companions say as you run to the senate building on coruscant or how the imperial companions comment about the dark temple as you run up to it. Things of that nature which means for players that are mounted or using their rocket boost 99% of the time like myself I won't even hear the "chirps" most of the time.

  14. Nothing really set in stone for that interview, just a "soon" or a "in the future." Not that we should be very surprised about that of course. I'd love more companions though, I enjoy having a crew aboard my ship, shame they don't do much but stand there =(
  15. I hope BW notices the fruit bowl on the luxury skiff is bugged.
  16. Leaving the level cap as is unless you buy the xpac is pretty standard for most games. I wouldn't be surprised.

It's simply the next step up in the leveling curve, they just said that dread guard/bh gear won't be replaced until 54-55, which means the xpac isn't a hard gear reset, it's not that new greens will be superior to DG/BH, just not very useful to those like myself that are in full DG. There is no Basic comms, corellia -> finish class story -> makeb, level to 55. That's it, you get greens while leveling in makeb then get basic comms at 55.
  18. New 50's go straight to makeb to keep leveling. There is no gear set at 50, it's simply part of the next step, you hit 50, you go to makeb instead of ilum and keep leveling from there, I'd say get to 50 now, I have a feeling tionese gear will be replaced by 50-51 level makeb greens but at the very least you'll be ready to go in that gear rather then say 47-49 quest rewards.
  19. As far as we know they are exactly what the races are now, just a re-skin. Same voice, animations, etc. with just a different template on the character, no special story, no special reactions from npc's, just a re-skin. Edit: Technically the Cathar that are loyal to the empire have a background story that pops up on belsavis but I highly doubt they will reference it, the cathar empire characters we play will just be the same as any other in the story.
  20. Who cares about the new races? Every race is just a recolor of the same generic human model, no difference in armor style or stances at all (not even for specs that have a unique stance or fighting style like ataru, shien, soresu, etc, or a left handed option for sith purebloods that are generally left handed as opposed to right), unless they add some unique differences to it just don't bother spending money on it.
  21. Clipping is an issue. But even worse are the capes and robes that clip through mounts, looks awful.
  22. We should be able to use a barbershop feature with just credits straight up if you're a subscriber. F2P and preferred players should pay CC's, there needs to be more rewards for being a subscriber. =/
