  1. Sorry. I'm a little on edge lately. =( Me <-- Arse.
  2. Holyinx... You have a bad habit of making all manner of posts where you speak with absolute certainty but are totally wrong. 25 augments are not raid drops. I'm 99% certain that they do not exist in game. The highest augments currently available (from *any* source) are the purple 22s (i.e., +18 stat/ +12 other). Check the dev tracker if you wish, Georg addressed this some time ago.
  3. Yes, you would have to track each item. It's somewhat complicated, and would increase storage requirements a little. If you were clever about it it shouldn't be much. I assumed that was implied, but I guess I didn't explicitly say that.
  4. Oops. You're right. I'm tired and thought this was a post about the other. Regardless, I wouldn't mind if the crit rate increased a small amount and was reset upon success. I.e., 15%-->16%--->17%-->18%-->CRIT -->15%. It's really not all that different. You shouldn't get completely f'd over by a crappy RNG streak. If you wanted to keep the same overall rate of crits you could be clever about it. If the current crit rate is 15% for full affection on an orange difficulty item (see this week's Q&A), you could lower the initial crit rate to 10%, increase by 2% each time. Being so reliant on the RNG that some people get a Rakata relic on the first try and the next guy has to make 30 of them? That's really crappy.
  5. Actually, not really. Going forward beginning with 1.2, I don't think any class has BoP exclusives. Isn't everything craftable BoE now (post 1.2 introduction)? I assume by '50 requirements' you meant crew skill level requirements, since we were talking about exclusive reusables.
  6. You know there are 5 ranks of it right? I don't know, but it may be substantial. Given the legacy requirement and the probably cost, anyone getting it will already have a couple of level 50s. There's no major harm in making this a substantial xp boost. My guess is either 5% per point or 10% per point, for a net 25% or 50% increase. Maybe more?
  7. It's 20% per attempt for the item in question. I know they are learnable. There have been screenshots posted. 5 reverse engineers at 20% per attempt ==> 32% chance of still not having learned the schematic. So... your case is not uncommon. FYI: Here is how you calculate the chance of *not* having had a successful whatever (reverse engineer, crit craft) after N attempts. In your case, chance to learn is 20%, so P=0.20. The probability of not having succeeded is: X=(1-P)^N = 0.80^5 = 0.328 or ~32%. Cheers!
  8. I believe it's such a high number (500k) because of the obscene license fees to Lucas.
  9. What? No, it's an excellent idea as long as it's optional to the guild. It means that person is less likely to have their account compromised by someone that can come in clean out the entire guild. I'd be ticked if we lost a lot of stuff due to one person's lack of security. Is it that you're in Europe and can't get one? Don't have a smartphone? If you're capable of getting one you really should. In addition it gets you access to the 1 hour cooldown emergency fleet pass.
  10. Umm, yeah, they do. When levelling up it's a pain to reverse engineer up to the purple. People levelling alts will probably pick up a purple. At level 50, obviously you just buy a biometric alloy and make the Rakata now.
  11. It is very clearly some idiot who was speedhacking or using some other cheat and is just terrible at making up excuses for why he's been banned.
  12. Actually, that's not what they said. They said only Campaign gear could be reverse engineered for orange shells (i.e., moddable items). I would assume, that since black hole implants and earpieces can be reverse engineered, that the belt and bracers can too (but not any moddable slot). I believe Black Hole (61) armorings, mods, and enhancements can be REd as well. For Campaign gear, only the mods and enhancements can.
  13. They are bind to legacy of the purchaser. Guy comes on your ship, interacts with your repair droid and buys the sensors. They are bound to *HIS* legacy. This is how it was from day one.
  14. Single player games are not comparable. I cheat all the time in single player games. I have limited time and sometimes I just want to rush through the rest of the game to see the story. I remember hex editing my save games back in the late 80s. Ahh.. good times..
  15. This crap mostly makes me angry since I actually am wealthy in-game. I worked my *** off making it all via the GTN. Exploits like this that introduce rampant inflation make me want to quit too.
  16. Yeah. Currently, if anyone even managed to get the Campaign pattern, they cost about 2 mil in mats to make *each* on my server. For a shell.. Yeah, people are going to make those instead of saving up the raid mats for implants. I really don't pvp at all, never liked it much. I am however, a loot whore. Feet and gloves are one of the few slots I don't currently have augmented, and from the looks of it, I won't for some time. EDIT: Valor 50? I thought the lowest ones are valor level 60? If it was 50 I might think about working on it. My understanding is that the time per level from 50-60 starts to increase signficantly.
  17. Nope. 20% =( It is UNBELIEVABLY harder to get gloves and feet with augment slots if you don't have valor 60+.
  18. Ding ding ding! We have a winner! OP your friends are cheaters. =) Man, if they were smart they just would have had a 'family emergency' and had to 'leave town.' EDIT: Good riddance imo.
  19. Ahh. My delightful fellow Americans who all seem to think they are the center of the universe.
  20. Are you sure there aren't a few more zeros? I know there are people out there with 50+ million. If someone really wanted to they could probably hit that cap in one to two years if they *really* wanted to.
  21. What? No they're not. You can craft Campaign Gloves and Boots (shells). Unfortunately, they are massively more expensive to make. Also, probably not a lot of people with the patterns since most people who bother to try will only get one attempt (I.e., when they win *their* piece).
  22. I don't know how else to explain this to you, but your views on this are awfully simplistic, and to put it bluntly, just plain wrong. Do some reading and educate yourself about what economics is and isn't before you try claiming it doesn't apply here. Frankly, I don't think you actually understand what the term means.
  23. Look. They're not stupid. Well, sometimes I wonder, but they're not *that* stupid. Since they want to control things and make sure everyone and there mother doesn't try to transfer to The Fatman, people on low population servers will likely get free transfers to *selected* servers. I.e., medium population servers. Possibly later on they'll allow you to just transfer wherever you want, but I suspect they'll charge for that.
  24. I'm trying to crit a couple Black Hole implants. Made 12 so far, zero crits. =( I think that's a little pricier than yours. Luckily I can 'reverse engineer' the result and get almost all my mats back! (I.e., [General Chat] Anyone want a black hole implant? Free in exchange for the exotic mats required!)
