They're learning, and I think they're actually learning pretty quickly. The new video update seems to be starting to pander to the community more than they used to. You can kind of tell they're a bit confused by all of this, but are trying to alter their community interactions to be less infuriating. They still have a long way to go to get to live developer Q&As, design idea blogs and all that great stuff that you might be used to, but I think they're figuring it out a bit.

I believe there is deep meaning to this. People a thousand years from now will be studying it to unlock its secrets.

I wish this game had permanent death in PvP. Then there wouldn't be a Republic at all and we could all focus on crafting.

Based on looking at SWTOR Arena server statistics so far today the answer is ... none. Zero impact. Nothing. Nadda. Zilch. All of the freaking out and cancel posts on the eve of the preorder subscriptions expiring was a lot of noise and hot air. The percent decrease in instantaneous server population from the last day of the free 30 days to today is approximately: 0.0%. I wasn't sure about it before, but now I'm convinced. As amusing as it is to read and laugh at and participate in, the wild commentary on these forums is utterly irrelevant.

After seeing the lagfest that is Ilum, I now realize why there's so much sharding, server caps are so low, and the worlds are designed like corridors. At least they are limiting how many people can go into Ilum. Limiting the number of players is the solution for everything it seems.

Making the game better is not a priority for me. Sorry.
