  1. Yeah, I really do understand where you are coming from. I just don't see bioware really caring enough to change it. If I thought you could get them to alter the quest then I'd be right on board, gunning for changes for the quest I found issues with. It's such a minor thing though, that in terms of your character and how you feel they'd react the only control we are given is to accept the quest and save the baby or decline and let nature take it's course. I think fighting for anything different will be a losing battle.
  2. I can understand your point. There is a quest on coruscant that I feel just has no place in the story of a jedi following the lightside. And both the dark side and lightside options for it are at best just really confusing and convoluted. My solution to this? Refuse to do the quest. If you feel your character would not help a flesh raider baby, then refuse to do the quest. given how early it is in your character's career the loss of experience is really quite minimal.
  3. There are too many variables in the game that your initial complaint doesn't address. Such as which class specifically you feel is so indestructible (my sage sure isn't.) What gear they have compared to what gear you have. (Not even factoring in the rating differences between fresh 50 gear and battle master gear, the expertise alone can make a new 50 with no expertise feel like they are shooting spitwads at a brick wall.) I would point out, too, that in pvp, healers already lose a significant amount of their healing ability due to the trauma debuff. I won't say that the game doesn't need balance... but I will say that your ideas would cripple healing classes, because you somehow think healers are OP. These suggestions are not good. The balance needs to occur on by class and a by ability basis. Not a huge nerf to healing overall.
  4. There is one already. I forget what it is by default but it's in the targeting options. I'd much rather just have skill forwarding though.
  5. I'd like a separate selection option for noses. right now noses are tied to specific faces.
  6. Three I think is a bit low. Unlimited is not the right direction either though. Should be credit for killing each opponent once. If you didn't manage to kill all 8 opponents you only get what you got.
  7. Right now when the launcher is updating it just gives us a red bar and a loading or busy sign, but no indication of how long it will be updating for. I know the launcher updates are usually pretty quick but it would be nice if we had some sort of idea for how long they are going to take. Thanks.
  8. Can or can't? Cybertech makes armoring. If Armormech could as well it would sort of defeat the purpose. Though I do agree... I would much rather see armoring with cunning and aim made by Armormechs and armoring with willpower and strength made by Synthweavers. I'd also like to see artificers making vibroblades and electrostaves rather than Armstech... or atleast have non-moddable lightsabers to make.
  9. Or only make them clickable when in a cantina or on your ship. And it's not just Khem Val it's pretty much every companion.
  10. Agreed. I'd also like an option to not view other people's titles/legacy names. As well as a streamlining of mouse over targeting. (it always seems to default to enemy players for me.) In a game of huttball with 4 opponents swarming around my team mate ball carrier who has an 8 word title/name/legacy I haven't a clue who he is and a devil of a time targeting him. If I can look at the ops screen and see a small symbol next to who it is my life would be alot easier.
  11. Someone in your own faction pulled you away while trying to access a crate on Ilum to get credit for the daily/weekly? Yeah, that shouldn't be allowed. That would be like someone in the alderaan civil war WZ pulling their own team member off of a node while trying to cap it. My guess is it wasn't even on the radar when they were making pvp stuff because the natural thought is "Why would anyone even do that!?" Well, there's the answer, and I agree. If you are in the middle of interacting with a node, a same faction player shouldn't be able to yank you off it. Unless you are in a free for all zone and have the ability to reciprocate.
  12. I believe it was in one of the Q&A blogs changes to the need/greed rolls, something about not being able to roll need on an item you couldn't personally equip. They may have also mentioned a new tab for rolling for companion pieces, though i can't remember if that was a dev post or just something I read in the suggestion forum. (I assume it would work similarly to the disassemble roll option.) Unfortunately there's not much that can be done retrospectively. The guy rolling need for his companion is clearly not a team player. Only thing you can do in the future is avoid doing things with him.
  13. I have to say that the few arguments I have seen in favor of better gear seem pretty weak. "you people who don't have as much time to grind the best gear need to stop crying when I kill you with my better gear." Really? And that malarky about an old warrior? a steel sword can only be improved upon so much. and a rusty sword can kill you just as easily as a polished one. But hell, back in the middle ages diarrhea could kill you just as easily as a sword. (in some wars dysentery was worse than the opposing army.) Give them a different set bonus... maybe give them a very small rating increase. (like 142) Maybe take some time to make the ranked warzone attire look like it was designed by someone with an actual sense of style. (looking at you space cow... and you samurai robot...) But I'm with the people who've said that expertise should be removed entirely. If someone has a slightly better gear rating than I do, fine. They earned it. but that slightly better rating shouldn't come with a stat that lets them magically do 5% more damage and me do 5% less.
  14. It is rather frustrating some times. Fighting a group of strong/elites solo, and I kill one and try to heal up for the next only to dscover I'm actually healing tharan, cause he snuck a heal in as the last mob died. Yeah yeah, I should be paying more attention... At the very least make it a toggle.
  15. I was under the impression that the 1.1.5 four medal cap was temporary until 1.2 came out... It would make so much more sense if after a certain point medals just gave decreasing rewards. People would still feel like they get rewarded for doing well, but the drive to only gain medals would be lessened.
  16. Perhaps they can vocalize their boredom in sync with the afk timer. To give an audible cue to people waiting for craft returns and crew missions.
  17. Just had a thought... but efficiency and crit rate for companions are effected by your affection rating... would be neat if presence gear enhanced that effect further. I'm in the same boat, as an artificer sage... But given that the only thing I can really crit on at the moment is the offhand power/shield generators I didn't bemoan my lack of artificing companions much. That being said I've found that C2 has a ridiculous crit rate for those offhand items.
  18. This is a good idea. Though the changes that are on the PTS server right now i think will add some of this kind of flavor to WZ. (even though it will kill Ilum pvp at the same time.) Basically they are allowing people to complete the ilum "kill x number of enemy combatants" daily/weekly quests in warzones. So even though you won't advance the WZ win dailies you can still advance the Ilum "kill 30 enemies" daily. Atleast until people hit that quota they might be less inclined to leave a warzone because it's one they don't enjoy or they are losing.
  19. Just out of curiosity did you see if it was cross faction huttball every time or same faction? Huttball is sort of the buffer for imbalanced factions (agreed it's a very poor one.) but since it's the only WZ that can have two teams from the same faction if you are on a server with a very large faction disparity you might just be seeing lots of huttball because there aren't enough people looking for pvp in the opposing faction. I hate huttball too... but I am too starved for Valor to care... and I've managed to complete a 3 win daily with nothing but huttball.
  20. Bottom line: Losses don't count against you anywhere but in your head. Helping finish a losing WZ isn't a punishment.
  21. Just out of curiosity... counts where? Is there some PVP WZ stat page in the codex i've missed? As far as I've seen the codex tracks wins and achievements specific to warzones (like capturing a node, or scoring a goal etc.) This of course is speaking as someone who has been pvping for about 2 weeks now, and still has a long road ahead (both in terms of needing valor and in terms of needing gear.) I look at every Warzone as an opportunity for gain, even if I am coming in at the tail end. Even if we didn't win. One of the most medals I've earned in a Warzone was in a Voidstar I joined in the final 2 minutes of the first half. Maybe you should take a moment to think... I just joined this WZ... they are losing... there is the potential here that these people have been undermanned and fighting an uphill battle the entire time. If you were in that position what would you think if someone joined your wz... then immediately left again? Hell, why not even just add a specific medal for someone who joins late and immediately jumps into the fray to try and make a difference. "Reinforcements have arrived." that way even if you don't manage a win you still get something for your effort, and for not abandoning 7 strangers just because they are down when you join the warzone.
  22. Someone else made a similar thread about this last week. Speaking as someone with pretty inconsistent internet there are times when I am pvping where my connection just cuts out for 30 seconds or so. I am able to log back in instantly but if I was in a Warzone at the time, i can't requeue at all until the warzone I was in finishes. I can't rejoin the one I was in, I can't join a new one. The simple solution, until they have a means of letting people choose specifically what warzone they want to queue for (and even after.) they basically become locked to that warzone. They can leave if they want or have to, (or if they get disconnected.) but for the duration of that WZ they can only requeue for that same battle. If someone else already replaced them they have to wait for someone else to drop to rejoin.
  23. Or to go one step further, being able to cycle through all of your companions in the companion tab on the character screen no matter where you are. (Right now you can only on the ship.) If I can summon a companion from my ship to me in 2 seconds, there's no reason I shouldn't be able to change their gear without them being my current "active" companion.
  24. I actually bound the focus modifier to the tilde key (the backwards apostrophe next to number 1 on the number row.) Most of the time it works rather well, though I notice that if I am spamming healing spells in quick succession on my focus target every third ability or so will not actually go to my focus target...
