  1. Heh, only problem with auto target nearest enemy is it will do exactly that with no consideration for if it is an enemy you are actually engaged with. I had to turn it off on my gunslinger because he had a tendency to pull new groups of mobs before I was ready after an unexpected crit caused my current target to die before I thought they would. My favorite though is when you have a healing companion who heals you as your target dies. They don't even need to be visible on the screen and you are suddenly stuck on them. Expanded targeting options would help tremendously.
  2. It's a minor thing, but I agree... they look really awkward when you use them together.
  3. If they didn't have the forethought to think people might not focus on one specific tree then they deserve whatever headaches arise from their slapdash approach to game design. Any sweeping change of this nature is going to alienate someone, to severely limit player customization for fear of alienating a small group of players in potentia is... just bad business. How many more people would they alienate by preventing hybrid builds at all? The whole purpose of have branching skill trees for classes is to allow people to play a character their way. Some of the builds people come up with might be total crap, others might be surprisingly strong. If they aren't prepared to balance things of this nature then they kinda fail.
  4. Right now, the only way to get rare materials for higher grade scfhematics is through crew missions. Allow bosses and chests to drop them as well, this will promote trading between characters who can't use them, will allow prices for these items to stabilize, and will reduce some of the godawful RNG woes some of us experience...
  5. Completely agree. If I'm in a PUG being able to signify targets at the push of a button would be immensely helpful. Also would be nice if the drop down menu from the target portrait also worked just from right clicking the target, too.
  6. What on earth would they do this for?
  7. This is an issue with the crew skill mission pop ups whenever you have multiple screens up. They knock you out of trade screens, out of vendor screens, out of character/inventory screens, out of storage/inventory screens. The prioritization for crew skill reward windows is all wrong in every facet. hopefully the UI changes (when they finally happen) will either allow more than two UI elements open at one time or will allow a priority setting.
  8. Perhaps a mix of solo medals for personal achievements like kill count and damage ratings and team wide medals for group achievements, holding nodes for x amount of time, claiming x amount of nodes, team kills, team damage etc. That way people are still rewarded for individual effort and will still strive for personal rewards, but the team overall is rewarded for cohesive playing as well.
  9. That's what it sounds like. And that seems like by far a better option. If you defend the left side node and your team is doing well you almost never see any action. You are playing a pivotal role but get almost no recognition for it. I wholeheartedly support team based rewards. The one downside is it provides further rewards for the few people out there who don't actually contribute. So perhaps instead of voting for mvps the team can vote for people who didn't contribute at all to not get benefits. Or if you didn't help the team earn atleast one medal you don't get any rewards.
  10. Instead of having us type "DELETE" as confirmation for deleting a character we should be forced to type the character's name. Simplest thing ever to fix people deleting wrong characters.
  11. I'd really like to play as a droid... but perhaps it would have to be it's own class as well as a race.
  12. To add some more on the cross character section it would be nice if your friends list went off of legacy names as well as character names, that way if I have my friends' legacy names on my list I can see all their alts on all of my alts instead of needing to add each character they play on the friend list for each character I play. And silencing the ship droid should be a universal option... Maybe a legacy option could be different personalities for him... not that I could see anything making them more pleasant.
  13. Hi, I own two different computers, a laptop and a desktop, both of which are capable of running SW:TOR. But in order to keep them both up to date I need to log in on one, update, then close the launcher and log in again on my other computer. This seems a bit unnecessary. I've decided recently I'd like to create a character on public test server but in order to get this on both of my computers I need to download two new versions of the client and while doing so I'm unable to play the game at all. And to boot I can't even have them downloading at the same time... I'm sure it doesn't effect many people but it would still be a great convenience if I could update one of my computers while I play on the other.
  14. I certainly agree that telekinetic throw is lacking some pizzaz, but i think this concept would make it look too much like project (the balanced trait tree offers a chance for an extended project.) Maybe if they tweaked the animation a bit, adding some cyclonic animations, and gave it some more clothing interaction? so basically more wind and less dirt...
  15. Frankly, I'd rather they take the time to fix stuff. I have not played an MMO that hasn't had a rough first few months. And while I am not sure why every maintenance needs to be 6-8 hours it does give me incentive to get some sleep now and then. Personally, I am kind of miffed we havent seen another maintenance since 1.1.0c yet, since the game has been pretty much unplayable for me this past week.
  16. I am glad I am not the only one upset about this. My theory is that someone in charge of data-entry half-assed a good portion of it. I tried filing this as a bug report and received the answer that this is supposed to be this way, which confuses the hell out of me. I even tried learning higher tiers of some of them to see if they do in fact branch out in prototype and artifact qualities. So far nothing has. Now I can't tell what annoys me more, this blatantly stupid set up... or Bioware's inability to admit that it shouldn't be this way.
