  1. Chests in the outlaw's den I think. But at the same time it's immensely better than the 3:1 > 3:1 conversion loss it used to be( or rather still is, on live). Furthermore they are changing the merc comms from outlaw's den to be warzone commendations. If you farmed all of your merc comms in outlaws den you are coming out ahead, not behind, since you never lost 2 wz comms per 1 merc comm you have, making it a straight trade back is a big improvement across the board.
  2. In the Fate of the Jedi series they reference a nexu cub as a pet. And another animal I don't remember the name of, it may have just been a ferret, or whatever the Star Wars facsimile is.
  3. Why, for the fleet, for space ports, and for orbital stations did you opt for 4 different doors rather than 1 elevator for everyone, that goes to different destinations? An elevator for everyone would reduce confusion (when playing alts, I often forget which berth I'm supposed to go to.) It would allow for growth... need to add another class but don't want to fully redesign every port? Just add a new destination at the elevator. Just a thought...
  4. I also like the aim/cunning stims that drop from chests on Tython. Not to mention the Assault Cannons with Cunning. Sniper rifles with aim (is there a companion who uses base aim and sniper rifles?) When you take a look at all the small little things that make you go "what!?" you really get the impression that someone was either too rushed to do it right, or just too lazy.
  5. And the option to change them wouldn't be out of the question I think... or make them an aesthetic part of their body armor. Different armor gets different blinders so the aesthetic always matches.
  6. I was just struck with an idea for some skill animation juggling that could fix the mirror disparity between Consulars and Inquisitors. Change the name of Project to Force Project, and swap the animation from Disturbance. Second change the name of Disturbance to Telekinetic throw. (Since you are now telepathically lifting a piece of detritus and throwing it at your target.) Then change the name of Telekinetic Throw to Disturbance. (Since you are disturbing the force and propelling waves of force at the target.) It would require a change in vernacular, but the animation for Disturbance would have no issues being an instant cast ability, the animation for project wouldn't suffer at all from having a cast time. Just a thought.
  7. I can certainly understand where you are coming from here... but at the same time, I'm more inclined to agree with most of the people dissatisfied with the implementation. The next level "achieved" here could easily be attained regardless of any special name that inexplicably ties all of our characters together, regardless of race or faction. Everything that legacy provides could easily be provided without the name. I'm not saying the whole legacy system should be scrapped, far from it. I think a lot of the ideas here are pretty neat, and look forward to unlocking legacies. But for all the good ideas present it's tied together with a very flawed idea. And the flaw is so easily fixed it's mind boggling that it hasn't been rectified yet. I'd much rather see surnames implemented either as a sub-category of legacy, or just removed from legacy entirely. When I reached the end of act 1 and was told I needed to pick a legacy name for an unknown system that would be implemented in the future I had no idea that it would try to tie cross faction characters together. At that point I didn't even plan to make cross faction characters on the same server. A plan I can still go through, but I am feeling far less motivated to do so after seeing the plans for legacy. I can live with my legacy name if I'm forced to, but given the chance to change it I will jump all over it. Furthermore, given the chance to create surnames outside of legacy I'd jump all over that too. I applaud Bioware for it's innovation, but that doesn't give them a free ride to implement good ideas and bad ideas at a whim. They've shown they are innovaters, now let them show that they can admit when an idea is not as good as initially perceived. And given how little information we had initially about legacy a chance to change our legacy names given the new information would not be unexpected.
  8. I've had issues like this too. Where bonus quests or bonus series quests aren't awarding level appropriate experience. I've posted bug reports about them and usually I just get the message that it's been forwarded to the dev team. That being said I've had my fair share of bug reports where it is clear that the customer support representative just doesn't grasp what my report is about. My advice is to just report it again, reference the previous ticket and very precisely explain your level, the level range for the planet/quest series and hope the person who responds this time actually takes the time to read it.
  9. I understand that game launched a bit a head of schedule... but can we do some randomization with the npcs in some of the more crowded areas, like kaas city, the jedi temple on tython, korriban etc. I logged in on one of my imperial characters this morning and 5 out of the 8 visible npcs were identical. And not like, wearing helmet's and uniforms identical, like wearing the same apprentice looking clothes, same body type, face and bowl cut hair... it's kinda creepy. And it gives the game a very unfinished feel.
  10. I'd very much like this. I'd also like some of the preferences to not carry over to every character on a given machine. Running with "target nearest enemy on skill use" is fine when I am playing my knight because even if I accidentally hit an ability when my current target dies it won't aggro a new group if they are already out of aggro range. But on my gunslinger, not so much.
  11. Conversely, how 'bout smaller team WZ's too? 4v4? Maybe a smaller arena huttball, or a capture the flag type game with a corridor map type?
  12. Given that Legacy up until now has been little more than an extra name I think it might not be too big an order to give us a one time legacy name change after 1.2 goes live. My legacy name is not bad, I can live with it if I must, but I didn't really understand the full scope of the legacy system and the name when I chose it. (Mainly, I didn't expect cross faction possibilities.) I have a very definite idea for what I'd rather it be and wouldn't mind the chance to make it happen. Given the sparse information we've had 'til now about what legacy would actually be... throw us a bone, eh?
  13. To be honest you both are using pretty fuzzy math. I don't think either of you are going to convince the other that they are wrong, especially since you are theory crafting without fully understanding the math behind each. The issue of this thread is the silence from bioware in the face of these changes. It's clear the playerbase has trepidations (I am not at all looking forward to losing my random free noble sacrifices, regardless of whether I can learn to live without it or not.) We don't know the primary reason behind these changes. We don't know what this is supposed to balance. We just know that our efficiency is being reduced. Can we adapt? probably. It would still be nice to know why we're being forced to.
  14. Bold for relevance. This patch is already on the PTS. They should be free to comment on changes now. My guess is they have to weigh any responses carefully from a PR perspective as well as a technical standpoint. Georg Zoeller's comment on the Sage healing test thread was very passive aggressive and really didn't seem to do much beyond incense the playerbase even further. They may have locked down responses on this topic until they can run a consensus response and make sure it's worded in a way so as not piss more people off. Or they recognize that they really can't put the nerfs in a more positive light since there really is not anything positive about them other than people were healing more effectively than they intended, and are stonewalling us, hoping it will blow over.
  15. Leveling through Taris and Balmorra might not be so much of a negative experience for most people if we had support for our crew skills on those planets. Knowing that I won't have access to any new schematics as I progress with my crew skills makes the time spent on these planets more annoying than they really need to be. I feel like I need to get in and out as quickly as I can so I can continue training my skills.
  16. I have just seen two instances of this on the PTS. I was standing on a ramp that was in the path of a wandering strong mob. The mob started attacking my companion. (I was not really paying attention to the game at the time.) Someone else ran by and their companion started attacking as well. In the other instance it's very possible that an AOE was the culprit, but I was running through an area, another person was fighting a group of mobs and my companion decided he was going to stay and attack them as well. Regardless of the cause of this, my point about the added toggles remains valid. Companions have frustratingly bizarre AI. From switching targets seemingly at random, to standing out of LOS staring at a wall or a pillar instead of moving to a new position. Companions need an upgrade.
  17. Why do my companions run to help other people fight groups of mobs that are clearly not attacking me or my companion? We really need more companion controls similar to the passive toggle. Defend - will remain passive until something hits me, then they will try to gain aggro/attack the things hitting me. Assist - will remain passive until I specifically target an enemy, then they will hit my same target. Having none of these toggled the companion will function as normal.
  18. I too am quite exasperated with the jedi knight ghetto booty.
  19. This suggestion is possibly a bit esoteric, but I like having combat feedback in my log, but I hate having it scroll through chat... especially doing ops or flashpoints if I want to be able to see combat information in the log I potentially miss out on stuff being said in chat. I would like to be able to make extra chat windows that don't have an input box. Meaning that if I make a combat specific chat panel and place it on the right side of my screen, I don't want to have any mouse interaction with the panel. Right now we can make extra panels, but as soon as I mouse over the log it tries to open the input box, meaning I can't target through the panel, and quite often my next few input commands are said in chat, rather than performed in combat.
  20. Well for starters, everything that will put armormech and synthweaver into prominence will be tradable. Biochem's current prominence comes from the things they can make that only someone with biochem can use.
  21. I kind of agree with this. The argument could be made that it creates an imbalance between non-jedi classes. I suppose if you only allowed Knights/Warriors and Assassins/Shadows the chance to deflect a blaster bolt for damage back on an attacker it would add a little balance since they are melee only classes. And if it were a further subset of the defense stat it wouldn't be overpowered as only characters heavily geared for defense would see it with any frequency...
  22. I am greatly in favor of this. When I finished the class story on my consular I was very disappointed that there was no physical representation for the award I received. If it was a displayable trophy in my ship I'd feel more proud of the accomplishment.
  23. As with all the other threads asking for this. I agree.
  24. People are actually planning to wear them!? Have you not seen how they look yet?
