The class has been blacklisted in pvp for over 2 years now. We've seen dozens of patches and 2 expansions come down the pipe and with every one of them I had a small hope that a positive adjustment would finally place my favorite class (only one I enjoy playing) in an acceptable position.
What's the problem? Is it possible the designer(s) is (still) over estimating the impact heavy armor has on pvp? Overestimating the impact range has on a match? Are you designing the class around an arbitrary mathematical sweet spot or around the end-user's experience? Because if its the latter you have work to do.
On paper, healy merc mandos looked poised for some well deserved pvp uptime in the 3.0. But then you introduced dot spread, which so perfectly countered the class's strength (single target) that I find myself wishing for pre 3.0 bodyguard tree.
Leave me alone and I'll dps well enough, look in my general direction and my output plummets. But who worth playing is going to ignore a merc in an arena?
The class lacks an option.
It really just boggles my mind when I look at the overwhelming DCDs of the classes. It just doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain it please. Am I missing something here?
ps. Regs don't count.
