10 Good
  1. I invite you to play a 1500+ rating match. You will see how "easy" it is to focus down sins who actually play good. They pop deffensive cds correctly and heal with dots, death field and leeching strike while they receive almost no damage, and you end up killing them 3 times before they actually were going to die. Then, they force cloak and phase walk and rest to full hp. And repeat.
  2. They are everywhere. 90% of ranked warzones there are 2+ sins on each team. Many matches it's 4 sins vs 2/3 sins + other clases. They are absolutely unfocuseable. 5 seconds force shroud (immunity to all force and tech), 12 seconds deflection (huge damage reduction to melee and ranged and stun/cc immunity), force cloak, which makes them get out of combat while their dots keep doing damage and gives them 4 another seconds of force shroud, force speed every 15 seconds which makes them immune to roots and slows, and, after all that huge time of immunities (21 seconds combined), if they are in danger they phase walk away and heal to full. Yeah, ok, you will tell me - go and search him and finish him when he phase walks away. Thats ok when nobody is hitting you and there is only 1 sin in the enemy team, but when there are 3/4 (which is really common), its basically imposible because they dont let you do anything, and they all phase walk away when they are in danger so you cannot find all of them. Not to mention that they all use their immunities and you cannot deal any damage to anyone in the first 21 seconds, which is enough time for them to kill any class which is not assasin or sorc (due to bubble), since they damage is also quite high. They have a big burst with reckleness, demolish, death field, assasinate (yeah, I know they have to use trash first to get the demolish instant and put dots to get the assasinate), a really nice dps thanks to dots, a really nice multi target dps thanks to dot spreading. They can heal a lot with dots, death field and leeching strike, including WHILE they are immune to damage. They can stealth, they can taunt, they have an additional stun (spike), and an additional cc (mind trap). Basically they are good at everything. As hatred, they are good at nuking, dpsing, healing, protecting (taunt), stunning and also they can stealth. And since they are absolutely unfocuseable, nobody tries to kill them in arenas, and thus, they can do all the damage they want. They are too good compared to any other class, and thats why there are so many. No, I'm not a noob and its not a l2p issue. I'm an all seasons all star player and I'm talking about 1500+ rating ranked warzone arenas. Please Bioware, do something!!
  3. I main a Sorcerer (played with him since launch) and I really feel like rage maras, deception/madness sins, rage/vengeance juggs and pyro powertechs are way more overpowered than madness sorcs. Sorc rotation is easy and deals huge damage if the sorc can free cast. However, under heavy preassure (very common situation), sorcs damage drops drastically. Not like other classes, who can deal almost the same damage under focus than unfocused. Also, surviving a 3 enemies focus is almost impossible for a sorc, but not so difficult for the classes I mentioned above (which, in general, dont get focused). Their defenses are better, more reliable, easier to use, and allow them to continue their normal rotation even under heavy focus. Also, their rotation is very easy too, and their damage is not so far from sorcs. When I play my sorc I feel like - 10% of times Im not focused and I deal huge damage. 90% of times 3 or 4 enemies try to kill me constantly and I spend most of my time trying to scape. Yes, I have many tools to do it, but I end up dieing and meanwhile my damage is quite mediocre. When I play my jugg I feel like - 90% of time Im not focused. I can do whatever I want. My damage is lower than free casting with my sorc, but still its good. And way higher than the damage I can do with my sorc under preassure, specially if Im in rage spec (I hit a 9k+ smash every 10 seconds plus 7k force scream, 10k vicious throw, with a really simple rotation, while sorc highest hit is 7k death field). 10% of time I get somewhat focused and I just press any of my 4 defensive cooldowns and I survive the focus, while I keep doing my usual rotation.
  4. Queued for Ranked. Match popped. Got into it. Seems like 2 guys in my team had left the match and I got into it as a replacement. The first round was already started. It was a 3v4 counting me, but I was dead at the spawn. Of course, my 2 allies lost the first round 2v4, and we also lost the second round 3v4. Result: -12 rating... ***
  5. Make the resolve bar fill faster and unfill slower and only while in combat. And make cc breaker grant a buff which makes you inmune to cc for some secods (4 would be ok imo).
  6. It has been all the afternoong placing one < 1200 rating guy with 3 > 1700 rating people, against 4 > 1700 rating players. It sucks since the team who gets the low rating guy has a guaranteed loss, independently on how good they do that match.
  7. First 20 matches have a huge impact in your rating. If you lose them it would take 50 wins to go back to 1200. I recommend you to grind a fully augmented obroan set as minimum gear to start playing rankeds. If possible also get both brutalizer weapons since they heavily increase your bonus damage, and min/max your least/most valuable stats. Datacrons and companion buffs help a lot. And of course, use stims, warzone medpacks and adrenals and cybertech grenades.
  8. Absolutely Scoundrel. Better survability (scapes and defensive cooldowns) and is not cast dependant. With the sage you will see all your healings interrupted, specially in ranked matches. Also, sages tend to run out of resources, and scoundrels dont.
  9. The DCed player got in the arena, but DCed a pair of seconds before the first round started.
  10. What server do you play at? I feel like people there does not focus at all. Sorcerers and Mercs are not even close to be the best dps class, at least at tofn. They are always focused and die pretty fast without doing much. Best dps classes are juggs and sins. Really good defensive cooldowns and really high damage at the same time.
  11. Ok, I'll try to explain everything. First, you are looking at the ranked top players charts. So basically you will find there a bigger amount of players who play overpowered classes, since winning with those is way more easy than with the underpowered ones. Basically, healer operatives, rage marauders, deception assasins and pyrotech powertechs are overpowered. While sorcerers, juggernauts, mercenaries and snipers are underpowered. Second, about the imperial dominance. My personal experience to explain this is - reps hardcore pvpers preffer queueing for normals in premade groups of 4 people, full geared and coordinated to fight undergeared and uncoordinated pugs to ensure their win. In my server (TOFN), when I solo queue in normals, fightning against a premade of full geared reps is very typical. There are like 6 or 7 rep guilds which do that every day. However, I never find those players when I solo queue in rankeds. In fact, when the enemy team in solo ranked is rep, in general, it's formed by bad geared non hardcore pvp players. So generally it's an easy win. I've found a lot of imp players who play solo rankeds every night. They are full geared and play really good. However, I've not found many rep players in this situation. I know I will be blamed for saying this, but I really feel like rep pvp players are unable to win if they don't have gear advantage and play coordinated premade vs uncoordinated pugs. So they don't even try.
  12. That is not completely true. Many ranked teams still run 2 smashers. About stacked heals in 8v8... I don't really care about that. 90% of my time I play ranked. And there smashers are waaaay ahead any other dps class (except deception sins).
  13. Players who say that smash does not deserve a nerf either play a smasher themselves or really have no idea about how PvP works at this game. Even smashers know that they need the nerf, they just don't want to say so.
