  1. There were players that went to another server but thats not the main reason imps suck. I notice a lot of players that are in raid gear now a days. Which should mean they know how to play but there is a joke in my guild about how pugs do not attack the marked targets. Its almost to the point they avoid them for some stupid reason. I even have to say attack the healer ... you know the marked target. That means they do not go for objectives either. They put blinders on and just go. Meanwhile the other teams healer is unchecked, the dps overwhelms, the capper isnt touched, and the pugs get stomped. I have even got into an argument with some pugs and they said I take pvp to seriously. The pugs just play for fun and dont care about winning. It still irks me since i play for fun but i dont play to loose either. I do blame a little on BW. They screwed up bolster to the point you have no clue what gear you should be wearing. These raid people could wear old raid gear in old mods and still get bolster but they do not know how to min max. Even most pvpers do not realize that bolster will give your weapons the top raid gear tech/force power. So upgrading your barrel or hilt means nothing like it would in pve. All your weapons are there for in pvp is stats. This is just one of the examples of how BW is part to blame.
  2. The counter to a sniper is a concealment op. As always the op needs to have the first strike with hs. But from there you control the fight. Cure the leg shot and dots. Evasion for the ranged dmg or the cure. Roll to close the gap on the knockback. If you know what your doing you can get back to them easily. Then you just have to worry about how to deal with entrench but if you can dps and burst they go down fast.
  3. The ****ed up bolster so they would not have to deal with recruit gear and people ************. That was a 3 gear end game system. That gear is still in the game and nerfing people that just started playing again because there is no way for the returning player to understand the 7 and counting hot fixes to bolster. There is no way they can make that work. Good idea. I wish they game had more to pvp.
  4. First off i agree with you on the sad state. That being said .... You could try specing into Incisive Action for the 2 points for the TA. On my OP i never speced for slip away. My fights do not last that long live or die. By your post you just pointed out the reasons of why you would want to spec this way, but hey we must all L2P like you. Oh, its nothing new to Flash bang someone, heal up, then drop OS. All you have to do is watch that your power is above 60% and you have adrenaline probe. This was way worse per 2.0 and i managed then too. As Bam pointed out. It sounds like your trying to have a dps race. BW will never let you win a dps race like that because our heals (that or the stupid stun lock comment from 1.1) Like it or not it. TBO i think that made me a better player because I had to think outside of the box on how to kill skilled players. I learned how and when to counter each class. Edit: I switched to my sin recently. The two main reasons. I have played an op since launch and there is no end in sight making them on par with other classes. I personally had all the torture i can stand. The other reason is an assassin can control the fight. The assassins CC's are built that way compared to an op loosing control once their stuns are down.
  5. Its because they play the smash spec and the stun on hidden strike. The stun is extremely annoying when getting jumped by 2 at the same time. For all the reasons you stated above I switched to my assassin over my op. The only thing the concealment op does better is cure and flash bang. I get better defensive abilities, an instant heal, better burst, better ranged (yes OS is a great ae but its a cast and long cooldown), better control, better power management, taunts, almost guarantee crit (if i play smart i can control when to use it), imo a better gap closer, and i hit harder on the assassin. On a side note anyone with a right mind should know smash (not the spec) should be nerfed. BW does not have a right mind though.
  6. Try to make a clear point. Its really hard to understand what you are getting at. If your saying there should not be any difference in anyone's gear in pvp? Then i say the same thing to you, you should go back to pve and let us pvp working for our rewards as any mmo has progression. PVP and PVE should both have progression. Get rid of bolster so we know what piece is the bis. Then i can go progress like any every mmo instead of playing a guessing game until i enter the wz and find out the hard way. On a side note its amazing that a blue is more beneficial then an upgraded purple of the same item. Which is one of the many reasons bolster is crap. If you dont get that you do not pvp enough to be on this forum.

  11. Its not risky if the healers are OP like now. A good op healer takes 2 people to kill them in a reasonable amount of time. What you need is CC. CC wiill shut down people while you kill the others. So i would be more worried about having a sniper, jugg dps, and op healer. The last class can be more open depending if you want ranged, stealth, or whatever. With that group you have tons of CC, taunts, lots of dmg, crazy mobile heals. You can control the fight.

    Anyone can counter the roll with a cc or a root. Snares semi work not to counter as much as to slow them thus the name. How do you counter a leap. The same exact way ..... please stop being dumb Also, roll does not magically make them not target able. If you tab are targeting the closest person so guess what happened. They are just not the closest anymore.

    Anything goes in huttball. It is stated in the waiting area ... There is no problem with the game mechanics. If the ops roll is a abuse. So is: Mauaders Undying rage passed the fire. Or jumping to a person. Sorcs pull and speed Juggs 3 jump to the endzone in 5 seconds Assassins force shroud passed the fire in force speed PT jump and movement immunity Classes with pulls into the fire OPS had to deal with other classes having cool abilities to make huttball fun for them since launch. Dont hate them for finally having something to do in the match. This ability finally made huttball bearable for me. I *********** hated it before and left as soon as i entered it. That being said ops heals are OP but thats a different issue. Edit: You can easily root, CC, and pull them into the fire. So its not like you cant stop them. Hell you can even kill them.

  15. I would put money on this. Last night I played a wz fighting an assassin. His force shroud graphic acted 3 seconds after he triggered it. Which made timing stuns incredibly hard. Then later his toon stunned was in melee range but i couldn't attack him. A couple seconds later after the stun ended he was 15 meters away. I can call hacks, but i think it was more of a server latency problem. That and i have no faith in BW programing. When i am 55 and it says i am lvl 10 and can not queue something is wrong in the program. When they hot fixed the bolster system to cover up major issues instead of fixing the root of the problem they are just adding more bad code on top of bad code. Which is probably becoming bulky and giving hell.
  16. Thats a great statement. It has no validity when your regarding class balance since players can play a different class and perform better. Thats like saying a low dps is viable in raids since it can dps but why bring it when 7 other classes do better.
  17. /sign You should not be rewarded for dieing. Also, in 1 vs 1 play (even though there isn't that much of it) the cooldowns should be equal after death. If that person comes back 30 seconds later this can give them the upper hand for no reason other then they lost the first encounter. There has to be better ways to accomplish this result without screwing over the people that live in pvp.
  18. I was just in this warzone. In Novare Coast it started off that myself and another concealment op took west while someone just tagged east. They took south and sent 5 east to take it back. We called it out. No one reinforced and lost it. All of our force went south except me and probably the poor soul that died while they capped east. I called out in chat *** the game is %80 to %50 (us loosing) and 7 people killing 3 people at south while defending. We lost from there on out. For many of reasons. Moral of the story is this WZ was a waste of my time. I pvp for the fun. The coms and everything else come with it. I am fine with loosing, but there is a point when your just paired with bads and its quicker to leave and hopefully get a group that can do more the 100k dmg and knows how to play the wz.
  19. 1. For those who use the statement not to nerf smash because you dont have a true stun. This is a bad statement in your argument. You do not have a 4 second stun because of your defensive abilities. NOT your offensive abilities. Otherwise other classes would not have a 4 second stun, but they would have things like um undying rage. Funny how undying rage's duration is 4 seconds dont you think? 2. Yes, we all use key bindings for most of our talents. There is a difference in using a medpack that is on a 1.5 min cooldown to something in your regular rotation. Yes you might have your defensive abilities key binded but what does that matter if your only using 3-5 buttons on a regular rotation to kill someone. Thats like me saying on my concealment op I have my heals key binded. Yes i use them, but not often since 99% of the time my target is dead. 3. The reason smash is and always will be an issue is because its AE that is on a short cooldown that hits for 8k plus or minus. It hits just as hard as every other classes single target abilities. It almost hits as hard as one of the other hardest hitting AE's in the game aka Orbital Strike which is a cast ability on a very long cooldown and a dot. Its a ridiculous idea to have just one skill do 25% of your damage as an ae every 12 seconds. 4. in 2.0 BW tried to change this a little bit with a nerf to smash and adding dmg to the other abilities. I am not going to argue if this was effective. The topic of discussion should more on this topic.
  20. Maybe it is just me. The people that play more and spend the time to either have WH gear, augments, or whatever should have the rewards of it. Otherwise why play. Naked bolster PVP should have never made it out of beta. That was a huge fail. Then this fail two weeks later. So the best question is what is next? Just wondering, what do you want them to say?
  21. Its more then just a min maxing thing imo. Its BW not knowing how or not willing to put other classes on the same lvl as others. Ever since 1.2 our rotation in clunky and needs a resigned. I do not play on the PTS but with alacrity it seems like it will be even worse. Then you start looking at even in 2.0 being at best 7% behind other classes. It just looks like BW does not know what they are doing with balance or they intend it this way. There is other things that really make me question if they know their program. Like if you pvp and you are still in combat after you die. Or even now your UI can totally get screwed up in zoning for no reason and you have to reset it by control U twice. This should not happen at all at this point in the game. This is going on for over a year and nothing has gotten better. With flaws like these what else is going on that we do not see in dmg. That being said, i have more faith in twosixnineone post and tests then i do with the game designers and their interviews.
  22. What Ryan said. Wainamoinen, your math is right but your still miss leading. Augments are the only thing worth going cunning and even that is a mute point if you feel you have enough crit. So this makes Power > Cunning. Which is probably why you seemed so frustrated in your post. Not because of the math, but more the math means nothing when the total benefit from your gear makes straight power or crit stacking better.
  23. Change your mods for crit depending on amount needed. Stack power. Adjust augments if needed to cunnning. Stack surge. Right?

My stats: Bonus Tech Dmg: Cunning - 1969 = + 393.8 Power - 928 = + 213.4 Tech Power - 1346 = + 309.6 Buffs - + 45.8 Total 962.6 Crit: Cunning 1969 - + 12.41 Crit 173 - + 6.88 Base - + 5 Buff - + 9 Total 33.3 1 Cunning = .2 Bonus Dmg 1 Cunning = .0397% Crit 1 Power = .23 Bonus Dmg 1 Crit = .0398% Test this yourself, but this is what i have found. Cunning is not as important until you hit DR. Or your trying to fine tune your stats.
  25. Thats why i brought it up. If it was changed to stealth teleport or a dd of some sort. It does not benefit us at all. I am sure someone out there could come up with a good change to the skill that would buff us.
