You will however lose any rewards that you were given for participating in server character transfer. I found this out the hard way when I deleted a lvl 1 character (didn't like his looks, had to redesign him) that I previously transferred from another server during the free server transfer. The pet reward I received for transferring was gone when I created a new character...

As far as I'm concerned they need to kill this thing so that, hopefully sometime very soon, some other studio can take a shot at making a good, playable, long lasting Star Wars MMO... Preferably before I get to 60 and lose my eye sight...

I agree with you especially about the last sentence. They obviously need money right this second and that is not a good sign for the future. That means pressure is high in that office, everyone is stressed out, and probably a lot of people quitting and getting fired. I've been once in a company like this and I can tell you that most folks are spending at least 50% of their time looking for another job while they should be working... It's not fun to be on a sinking ship...

Why do we always pull the word "sandbox" out of the bag when we discuss this? Why does it have to be SWG again? Can they just add small things like Decorating your ship, hanging trophies around it, etc... Those are minor things but they add so much to the overall game and they don't make it a sandbox or SWG 2.0...

I agree with original post. Most of the high end gear looks like someone plugged you into an electric outlet... The answer is always simplicity folks... I don't want to look like chicken on steroids...

EVE is an amazing and very complex game!!! SWTOR is a joke compared to EVE...

But why direct drop to a planet with an escape pod??? Why abandon ship??? Makes no sense considering all of these ships can land on the planet anyway...

This! If I continue my subscription I want to KNOW that I am given unrestricted access to every aspect of the game and there is absolutely no need for me to spend any more money. If on top of my subscription I need to pay more for some things, whatever they are, you can forget about me forever. No game is worth that kind of investment...

I disagree with you on this for a few reasons: 1. Playing on an empty server is no fun... even though you technically don't need others to finish quests it is depressing to be the only alive person in a massive universe. 2. The number of human players playing this game is directly proportionate to the further development on the new content for this game. In other words if you have only 3 000 000 subscribers you can expect new content by the end of this year for sure. If you have 100 000 then you can expect it by the end of next, maybe. Or maybe the game just doesn't expand at all. So your point is valid in some ways but very wrong in others...

yup you pretty much nailed it... It's a game but in many ways it like a real life... If you play 20 hours a day you will definitely be better than the casual 2hours/day player...

Can it be saved? Yes with the right strategy.... Will it be saved? Difficult to answer... I myself like it a lot and it certainly has a lot of potential. But it would seem, from reading these forums, that the majority of gamers are pretty pissed off and will not be resubing. Maybe that's just a vocal minority but it seems that there are some good folks in there also losing their patience. If the numbers go down further, the remaining populated servers will become ghost towns (majority of servers are already ghost towns). There will be less and less money for development and therefore less and less chance to save this game... I do believe we are in crisis mode and that the next few months will make it or brake it...

Ok since my feeling is that TOR would be much better if we had a few non-sandbox elements here are my ideas for game additions that would make the game more fun in those moments when you get bored with quests/storyline: 1. Pazaak games/tournaments This was very cool addition to KOTOR games and it would be very cool in here. You should be able to play random PVE game and also we should be able to organize PVP tournaments much like the enter warzone instance button works right now. Or maybe organize everything in the Casinos on Nar Shadaa. Right now they are just there for no reason at all. Imagine if you allowed people to gamble they would be bustling with activity. Add to it some sort of way to acquire really special pazaak cards like +/-1 etc. and you got some seriously addictive end game stuff. 2. Swoop Races This was also in the original KOTOR and it also has potential here. Besides the ship you could also have your personal swoop that could be displayed in some way and customized which could tie into one or several of the crafting professions. Races could be organized PVP and PVE style much like the warzones and pazaak torunaments. There could be various types of incentives such as money, swoop improvements etc. Maybe even some sort of racer ranking system. 3. 1 on 1 Deathmatches Again just like in the original KOTOR on Taris there could be a planetary death match duels both PVE and PVP ones. I'm not going to repeat myself but i think all of these ideas share the similar base dynamics and all of them would make the game way more content rich. Any other ideas folks?

Agree with you completely I do... I understand that this is NOT a sandbox type game but you absolutely have to have some elements of sandbox in order to keep the game alive. I love the stories in this game but even I get burned sometimes by doing quests only. What this game needs is fallback scenarios for when moments like that occur. This is where SWG excelled more than any other game ever. Want to decorate your house? Sure.. Want to visit that epic place on Tatooine called the Pit of Sarlaac? Want to do the daily speeder race to win a title? Or perhaps jump into the cockpit of your X-Wing and do some space missions? This is what we need but then again this is my opinion and I don't know what others out there are thinking....

Hmmm not sure what to think about this... Losing player base is bad of course but does this qualify as the initial drop off common in all MMOs or is this just too much? What do you folks think?

I think simplicity is the key here... I don't want to see the current Christmas tree Halloween type looking armor that is supposed to make you stand out by the number of tentacles that are sticking out of your head piece. Simple black robe with a hood speaks dark side to me much more... Same goes of the light side, actually I would think even more considering what the light side stands for...

I've always said that the best way to go was this... It's always harder to juggle 5 balls at the same time than to juggle 2... Simplicity is the answer!

I agree with OP I hate cartoonish graphics. When I 1st saw the lightsaber design for TOR a long time ago when they used to be huge I said to myself "forget it I'm not playing this game it looks stupid". Thank God they changed that and scaled it down eventually... Bottom line is I like realistic graphics. If you ask me the most realistic graphics today are in STO - the character creation mechanism there is amazing. Sounds funny but the female captain I created there is a woman I want to marry. That's how realistic and detailed she was...

This is exactly the kind of issue that surfaces when the point of the entire game is chasing the ultimate armor set or equipment piece. People are playing it only so that they could get to the end... They want to see the big THE END YOU BEAT THE GAME SIGN as soon as possible. Get rid of PVP gear completely and make PVP title/rank based... So the best man/woman out there will be called the grand master arena champion but he/she will still have the same gear that the rest of us have...

Reasonable request my friend and I agree with you. I don't want to go precisely to server X but I do want to know that whatever server I end up on is going to say HEAVY or FULL when I log in every night at 8:00 PM... And the transfer needs to be FREE!!!
