  1. Bump! We're still looking for that special someone! <3
  2. Greetings players of TOFN! Crimson is a very small, friendly guild who are currently in need of one member to join our little community of friends to fill the role of DPS (preferably Sentinel, but we are open to all). To outline what our guild is like, we are all friends who have been playing together for many months, we are currently purely PvE though if there is interest in PvP we are willing to set something up for that in the future. As a guild we might be considered "unusual" not only because we are not really actively recruiting as many as possible, but also because we do not have a "guild master", instead the guild is run by the elected Guild Council, currently comprising of 3 players, who vote on all decisions relevant to the guild and if necessary confer with our Senior Operatives to break any ties. Our current councilors are myself (Ellynia), Kathlen and Grimbold - if you have any further questions after reading and don't want to post them here, feel free to whisper one of us. The kind of player we are looking for is someone who enjoys the social aspect of the game, with a generally friendly personality that doesn't mind having a joke during raid (we're quite talkative on TS). However while we are quite casual and all have our own lives, we all know what we're doing and talking about with our classes too, so it's a plus if you are willing to put the effort to do some research too! We are a mix of nationalities in the guild but we all communicate in English so we ask that you have a good grasp of English both written and spoken and it would be nice if you could speak with us on TS too (though this isn't required!). Raiding experience is also good but not needed TL;DR! Crimson need 1 dps! Requirements: +Understand English +Be dps +Be 55 +Friendly! +Willing to learn and improve with us! Bonuses: +Have a mic +Know your class well +Melee dps (Sentinel) +Sense of humor ;P +Arkanian gear or more +Like small, tight-knit "family" communities We raid the following days/times: Monday, Wednesday, Sunday (starting usually 8GMT+2 and continuing until people have to leave/want to stop) and sometimes Saturdays/Fridays depending on everyone's availability Our current progress: TFB: 5/5 SM, 2/5 HM S&V: 7/7 SM TC: 1/1 SM (we have only existed about 2 weeks, had 1 night attempting HMs and will likely make a lot more progress very soon) We are not elitist in any way, if you're willing to learn and have a 55 char and the right attitude don't think that lack of gear/experience/mic will put you at a disadvantage, we take people based on personality first! Note: It is good to know that when I say we are small, I mean it! We are about 12 individuals, all with our own lives, the guild is this way at the moment and will not be expanding anytime soon. To contact us either respond here, make an application on our guild site: http://www.crimson-guild.enjin.com/recruitment (applications are private) or feel free to whisper a councilor (Ellynia, Kathlen, Grimbold) We look forward to hearing from you! -Crimson
  3. And in Rebel Dream, the guild collects them
  4. I was one during WOTLK as a resto drood (a little before I quit), I have to say though the skills required never translated into being that useful in SWTOR and I don't even PvP at all anymore.
  5. Well it does scream "creepy" no matter how you look at it, but since when has anyone used the forums anyway other than for trolling or comparing epeen
  6. Little update you can take Carbonite down from the list since we have now merged with Rebel Dream! On a related note Rebel Dream now have 3/5 TFB HM 16M - we'll get the last two soon as well I'm sure!
  7. Much love for having us! I'm sure we'll be very happy here ^^
  8. Carbonite have merged with Rebel Dream today, so this thread is no longer valid!
  9. Just wanted to point out - though it may seem we have a lot of raids on our calendar (5/7 days this week for example) we do NOT have a requirement for you to attend all of those raids, we're pretty relaxed about the whole thing, if you can raid about 2 nights or so a week that's great. (times are usually starting at about 7GMT weekdays and 7:30GMT weekends now and end when people start needing to go or when we complete the planned content) Also I'd like to point out we're an all-around chilled out guild, there's never any shouting during our raids and we won't /kick you just for making a mistake, we're all about enjoying content and having some fun/banter .
  10. Hi, firstly let me say this post is regarding my offspec (I am primarily a Sage healer, but recently in raids we have had a surplus of healers and not enough DPS), specifically regarding Telekinetic DPS. I'll explain the situation first and then if anyone can analyse what is going wrong here I'd be very appreciative: The problem - Can't break 1k DPS during bossfights, parser of the raid night http://www.torparse.com/a/161547 NOTE: this is EC HM 8Man, also a progress run for the guild Gear - With healer as my primary spec I don't have full DPS gear set, which can be a big problem I know, I am currently using Force-Master Rakata Chest/Legs/Boots and Columni Headgear and 1 DPS (Tio rank) relic. The rest of my gear is Black Hole force-healer gear, lightsaber mostly-Rakata with a 63 rank mod, 1 Rakata force-master implant and 1 Dread Guard relic with +350 power on-use effect, Hazmat Striker ear. Spec - Using this spec, as feature on noxxic for TK sages atm http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600hZfsrodoMutzZcM0M.2 Rotation - Weaken Mind -> Turbulence -> Mind Crush -> TK Throw -> Disturbance x2 -> TK Wave REPEAT Usually not using Project unless on the move/need a instant-cast. Some problems: TK throw would not have it's cast time etc. increased as it should with the Psychic Projection proc (saw this may be due to internal cooldowns of the proc, did not know it has a 10sec CD; however should this not be off-cooldown by the time I get back to it on my rotation?), similar thing occuring with TK Wave and the Tidal Force proc. Also not allowing WM or MC to drop from the target at any point - modifying rotation if necessary to keep both active. Another note: I am NOT using my CDs during these fights (Mental Alacrity, Relic, Force Potenacy or Adrenals) as I am saving them for burst-phases on bosses, I am using a blue-quality resolve stim throughout the fights. Obviously my gear is not optimal and I will gradually be working on improving that but right now I still believe that the stats on my gear are still relevant for this DPS so I should not be lacking so much in damage. Any advice/tips are greatly appreciated as it will make my life much easier should I be asked to swap role to DPS again! Thanks for your time!
  11. <Carbonite> took down Zorn and Toth on EC HM 8man tonight (thank god) only 3 more to go!
  12. I'm not sure if I agree fully on the idea of mergers being "the beginning of the end", it really depends on the mindset of the two guilds and what is agreed between them. For example some very clear things need to be who will be leading, in my opinion the guild that merges into the other one (i.e. their members come to the other guild) will probably not have as much weight in decisions as the other guild. For example, I would expect that the Guild Master of the guild that will come will become an officer - the other officers of that guild may or may not also become officers, it's up to the GMs as to what they decide together. While I don't see too many problems regarding leadership I think those things have to be fully discussed prior to the merge, as importing a whole new set of officers into a guild may cause unrest as the other guild does not know these people nor know if they are reliable, know their stuff etc. so you have to know the people you are merging with well, maybe run some trial raids of the two guilds together prior to merging, get to know what the others are like and see if the personalities of the two guilds mesh pleasantly of if their attitudes and aims are different; through this you can tell if a merger would be a success or if it will end in a big flop. Smaller guilds I agree often have a lot of benefits in the quality not quantity factor but at the end of the day the ideal is always to have a couple more people than you need in raids - remember that in non-hardcore guilds people will not be able to attend every day of the week so you need people there on "backup", a prospect nobody really likes, but still better than ending up 2 people short on a raid and having to PuG others. Another factor is your objectives as a guild, for example a lot of guilds like to add to their progression with 16M raiding, but at the transition between 8M and 16M you will have a situation where you don't have enough for 16M and you have a lot of people being left out of the 8M teams. A way to avoid drama over raidspots is to have a system such as raid sign-ups on the website (first come first serve priority), which though you will always end up with those disappointed that they can't come, it also keeps it fair for everyone - depending on how organized your guild is you can also have a rotation so that those that always come to raids can alternate each raid with those that don't. You could also have a need-assessment, is it a progress raid? Then bring the best geared and most knowledgeable of tactics. Is it a farm raid? Bring those that need the gear.
  13. No luck with EC HM yet (giving it another try this weekend, more hopeful this time), but 5/5 16M TFB SM is down for <Carbonite>, much thanks to our beautiful friends in Rebel Dream for helping it happen <3
  14. Heh I was talking to you yesterday about this same time as I was posting this I'risa! Your offer has been the subject of a lot of discussion with the officers - I personally am quite in favour of the offer - but the problem is the the size of the guild; regarding members we would be bringing our numbers have changed from what we quoted to you when you first presented the offer (down to about 15 than our former total of 115). The points of debate were along these lines - we'd be carried (essentially) though a fair amount of content, though if we'd be contributing to your third (I think you said?) raid team that might be less of an issue. Also of discussion were raid times/days, guild identity (name, primarily) and the size of the merge - bringing so few players across makes it less of a merge and more of an integration of a small part of our guild. I believe what our GM and other officers initially had in mind with the merging idea was more for another small, failing guild of good people to come to us and give new life to both of the guilds - one of the lesser known guilds like ours! However we definitely keep your offer in mind, but at the end of the day it's down to essentially an officer vote, at the moment things are looking up a little for the guild (some promising new recruits) so we're not quite ready to "abandon ship" as it were. Out of interest to bring to potential future discussions, would social (slow leveling, but lovely, long-time guild members) players also have a place in the merge? Also if we aren't to merge and do make our way to becoming a bigger guild, would RD be interesting in a guild alliance of sorts - like an affiliation, supporting and helping eachother whenever the other has need, I know in the short-term this seems very one-sided but for example in 2.0 when progress is reset we would be in more of a position to be of assistance to RD. Either way I hope there will be a beautiful future between our two guilds. As a note I don't speak for all of Carbonite nor all of the officer team! I'm pretty much just surmising the apparent opinions of the others and myself, I'm sure if I've incorrectly portrayed the opinion of Yume or our other officers they will not hesitate to jump in here and add on to what I've said .
  15. Ty, sadly he's not mine and Happy Birthday to you! ^^
